THE GRANTS DEPARTMENT OF US GOVERNMENT. This is a scam and dose not exist in this case. You do not have to give money to get money. Also you can not win a contest or grant that you never applied for. Just had an elderly lady come to the office ( Local Sheriff's Office small town) and stated that she got a call form a subject named "Sam" with an obvious foreign accent from 801-821-5096. Sam told her she had been given money from the Government because she had been such a good citizen and needed to got to the local Western Union. Note that the lady is in her 80's. When we called the number for her a subject with a foreign accent answered. When we asked to speak to "Sam" he said hold on then the same subject cam back on the line and introduced him self as "Sam" it was so ridiculous it would be funny if they weren't trying ti rip people off. He stated he was a representative of the federal Government but could not give a contact number of provided any corroborating information. He stated it was all confidential and he could not give any information. He actually asked that we "Trust" him LOL. The more we questioned him the more frustrated he got. He couldn't answer the most basic questions. ANYONE WHO SAYS THEY GOT ANY MONEY ARE LYING!!!!!!!! and trying to trick people in to thinking they will receive something for nothing.

I got the same call. they all say their names are donna wells and sam jones with promises of $5000. for a processing fee of $99 which is promised to be returned. donna or diane said 5000, then sam, the supervior(LOL) said it was 5100. its funny they have simple american names but chinese accents and cant even pronounce your name correctly. the second guy said he was from the govt grant dept after I insisted they let me talk to someone from US grant dept, funny he had a chinese accent too! beware. and I feel sorry for the poor "little old ladies, or men" that are gonna get taken for this 'ride'. cant somebody do soemthing about them?

First, I doubt anyone has recieved any money and those who claim to have recieved funds like bryant can't write english very well so more than likely he is part of the scam in trying to get people to believe he got money.
This has been confirmed to be a scam, the only people getting money are the people you send the $99.00 too, you will not see a dime of any money and my suggestion is to lead them on and provide a fake mtcn number to see where it goes but do not send any actual money cause you will get nothing for it.

Here's an "Government Grant" group claiming you are a select few who have qualified for government grant money. The people sound like a legitimate organization. However, there is a "processing fee" of $99 - sent Western Union. No big deal right? After their security fee they send you to "Western Union Headquarters", this department also charges a processing fee (10%, I chewed them to less). After they "promised" to give me the confirmation number, I paid the surcharge. They gave me 5 digits and sent me to the "Indian Embassy" (or whatever) where they said I had to pay taxes for them to release the funds. Without their chunk (or $300) they would not release the number (more like pass to the next man in line). I am a fool, but would not go further. This cost me babysitting money and $ for school. Don't be a sucker.
