I got an automated message that says I have the option to press one, to speak to a customer service representative to contest a returned check (payday loan) from my bank.  This is a collection agency, contrary to what has been posted here, I have never had an account with Chase bank, but I have had a lot of defaulted payday loans (lost my job).  The number they give to call back is (866) 795-6989

THIS IS ACTUALLY LEGIT.. CHASE IS ACTUALLY OUTSOURCING FOR SURVEYS WITHOUT THE KNOWLEDGE OF THEIR STAFFS TO AVOID INSINCERE DEALINGS TO THEIR CUSTOMERS.. AND HOW DID I KNOW? IM ONE OF THE INTERVIEWERS LOLZ! HAHAHAHHA.... IF YOU ARE JUST SMART AND AGREED TO TAKE THE SURVEY, YOU CAN ACTUALLY TELL FROM THE QUESTIONS ASKED BY THE INTERVIEWERS IF THE CALL IS LEGIT OR NOT... FRAUD CALLS USUALLY ASKS PERSONAL INFORMATION WHILE LEGITIMATE SATISFACTION SURVEY CALLS ONLY ASKS ABOUT YOU RECENT EXPERIENCE OR HOW HAPPY OR SATISFIED ARE YOU ABOUT YOUR LAST VISIT TO A CERTAIN CHASE BRANCH.

The calls are being dialed by a company called: Opinionology (http://www.opinionology.com)
The company Opinionology is owned/operated by a company called: Survey Sampling International "SSI"
The company Survey Sampling International (SSI) is a member of: the Council of American Survey Research Organizations (www.casro.org)

So supposedly they aren't doing anything wrong and aren't harrassing anyone according to this CASRO.org group, they're "complying with research industry standards, best practices and relevant laws" Their website also says "All CASRO members must adhere to the CASRO Code of Standards and Ethics, the enforceable standard for research businesses for more than 30 years."

CALL THEM AND LET THEM KNOW THAT AT LEAST ONE OF THEIR MEMBERS (SSI/Opinionology) ISN'T LIVING UP TO THAT CODE OF STANDARDS AND ETHICS!

Chase has to authorize and pay for a survey if it was from them. IT IS A SCAM

I called Chase, they informed me that they NEVER do surveys

I called my Chase bank, and they referred me to their fraud department. I also filed a FCC report. Chase knows nothing of telephone surveys. The other number is 801-823-2024. These people knew what branch location I had been to in the last couple of days. SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi. I am one of those people who call you and say that we are calling on behalf of Chase. We are not from Chase Bank but we are independently commissioned by Chase to conduct these surveys without the knowledge of bank employees so as not to avoid any insincere dealings. From what I've been reading off our screens, we're only concerned about your recent visit and will not ask for any personal or banking information. Usually we just ask rating questions and reasons why you gave it a rating of which. If someone asks you account infos then it's not us. I apologize for the inconvenience sometimes.
P.S. we usually don't leave any message.

I only have one debt & a restraining order should keep them at bay! I don't want survey calls from banks/ or scam calls for 'winning' anything ~~ gee time is valuable!

Called three times today.  I did not answer.  Have been calling everyday.  The message they left was just a bunch of 'dead air' sounds.  
How do I get my number off of their calling list?

3 calls in one day from this number. i am going to call my phonce service provider and report them for harassing me.

We also had a call from the 801-823-2027 #,we did not answer since we have caller ID and didn't know the # they didnot leave a message!!! Jan 21 2010

For 3 days I have had calls from this # when I call it just rings. They left VMs stating it was Chase Bank. I called my bank today asking them to check into it but after googling it I see these scammers have been committing fraud for years. I will call the police tomorrow this needs to be investigated.

Same deal as everyone else this is ridiculos! I have always banked with Chase but if my info got into the wrong hands see ya. My caller stated he was doing a survey for Chase on my recent visit to the branch. He said his name was Mr. Montenegro and his supervisor would be listening if I did not believe him. I said I don't and hung up.

Just got a call from this number 3 times this week they call and leave no message at all...

Also got several calls today 12/08/09 from this number. I didn't pick up but they didn't leave a real message either. They pretended someone answered the phone and said: "hi my name is.... I'm calling in behalf of Chase.."

I got the same call claiming they were from Chase.  I tried to call back when I refused to give them any information.  I think I'll tell them to f*** off.

This is NOT CHASE! If you don't believe that, call Chase and ask them yourself. They do not conduct phone surveys. Do not give out any information. It is curious how everyone they call seems to be a Chase member, Im wondering if this is because of online purchases and maybe someone is selling info that way?

I too bank with Chase and received a call from these people 12/8/09 at 3:33 p.m. I was not at home and didn't pick up. I too will contact Chase and let them know I have received a call from these scammers.

This number called me three times already. I've never answered it. The last time 12-30-2009 they left message: Anybody on the line, this is Chase calling.. The guy had an accent and the number was (801) area code so I googled and based on all these posts here they seemed to be scammers or telemarketers at best.Blocking their number now ;-). It is not Chase nor is it authorized by Chase. It's a form of a scam. May be a way to figure out who is and is not a Chase customer as many people who have no accounts with Chase have received the call

Kept calling all hours.   Can't call them back no one answers

They called our phone twice on Saturday 01/16/10 and no snswers, they called few other days as well.

I have written to Chase asking what is being done about these calls as I also recieved a call today from this number.

CHASE do something about this !!  you will lose a  lot of customers if you continue to let this happen !!!!!

We also had a call from 801-823-2027 and we also bank with chase,we have caller ID,didn't answer the call and they left no message.
