Keep receiving calls from "Verification" (801-839-7365) with message left "will call back",.....

Please nail this sales team from Utah!

I've been getting this call 2-3 times a day for a week. one time there was a live person on the other end but i still didn't pick-up. some kind of scam I guess?

just got the call...did not answer it...

I received several calls from this phone number. No message.

Caller ID said Eyewitness News. I didn't answer.

Missed a call from this number and they left an automated voicemail message saying, "Verification. We will call you back later."

Very strange. I don't know who they are, what they want to verify or why an automated voice left the message.

No message left.

I recently subscribed to the local paper and this call, at least, was on their behalf asking about delivery and my satisfaction, etc., and would I like to pay my subscription fee now. Very courteous, no problems or attempted data collection with this call at least. (It may be a service that does follow-up for any number of companies to their consumers with recent purchases.) Seemed harmless enough to me.

Have no idea who this is. Caller ID#  said "Verification FR."  Picked up the phone and it was a recording saying "Verification. We will call you back later."

I'm on the Do Not Call list. Who are these people. This is bu***hit!

I got a call yesterday and one today from that number, no voice mail left at all.  The only thing i can think of is maybe trying to verify for a subscription or something that I bought from a college kid a couple of weeks ago that was going door to door.  he did say i may get a call since i paid cash

Quiz this caller, it sounds like a scam.  They gave vague references to subscriptions I have and only asked for a CC number.  They would not answer any specifics.

Do not give this caller/number any pertinent information.  They would not tell me the name of their corperation or parent company.

I first got a message on my answering machine about a service verification and that they would call back.  Then someone has called back; EVERY DAY for the last 3 days. One call was NOT during acceptable business hours. There is a woman's voice saying Hello? Hello?  Hello? and then it disconnects.  I have an UNLISTED number so if they did not get it from me they ARE not supposed to call it.  I use an answering machine that lets me literally hear the person's voice during the call so I can make sure I never pick up if I don't know who it is.  If you don't pay for callerid you can get this type of answering machine for 15 dollars at Target/Walmart.  If you have an unlisted number (not even information has it) and you ask how they got your number and tell them they are not allowed to call; if they do not immediately hangup and NOT CALL YOU AGAIN, by law you are allowed/supposed to report them.

These people have called approx. eight times in the past week. The message left on the answering machine is, "We are calling for verification. We'll try again." We tried calling the number, and got a "The number you have dialed is not in service."

I have been receiving this message "this is a service verfication.  We will call you back later."  I live in Chanhassen, MN.   I have received perhaps 10 call from this company.   My recorder always answered the call before, but today I picked up the phone when my answering machine picked up and and I heard this message again.  I answered, but no live person on the line!

I finally answered the call today, and they said they were The SF Chronicle calling to verify that I'm receiving my new subscription service one time. Just gave a yes answer to her questions. Doesn't show name on caller ID on phone just phone number & Salt Lake City, UT.

They call every day and don't leave a message. I have caller ID and won't pick it up.

The BIG problem here is that they are asking if you want to pay now.....hmmmmm, sounds like fishing fior the appropriate amount of info to steal your identity!!!!! BE WARE.  I also received this call but I have not recently subscribed to my local paper.  That is a rouse since people are always subscribing.....they just happen to catch you at the right time!!!!

They called, didnt answer becuase I was in the middle of a work conversation.  Left no message.  We just bought a house so Im sure someone sold my number.

repeated calls daily. garbled voice mail message saying "thank you." i called it and it offered for me to enter my number to put myself on 'no-call list,' but i didn't enter anything in case it was a trap.

Repeated calls over the last two days--I haven't answered any of them, but they keep calling and won't leave a message.
