Said that I was going to be sued and that others(my best friend and my mother)would be drawn into this.They were very good.They haven't gotten any money out of me and they're not going to.

Said they wanted to contact (name) and this person had criminal charges against them and they needed to contact them or they were going to jail... (scam)
My caller ID said "DISTRICT RESTIT"

They called me last Thursday and told me the same thing and I was going to jail and everything. I'm glad I looked up the number. Thanks guys!

I got a call from this number saying that i owe over a 1,000.00 and that they were going to take me to court if i did not pay restiution today which was yesterday. I talked them into waiting until today but now that I am finding out all of this. I think i might just get ahold of a lawyer and see what they say about the whole thing. I don't have that kind of money to just waste away if this is a scam.

March 28,2012, I received a call from this number telling me that my son, who is on disability and has to live on $700 a month, This pays his bills and feeds his wife and child) had written a $1700 cold check a d was going to be arrested within the next couple of days.  They said he would beimprisoned from 5 to 5 years.  I thought of my son with the big brace on his left leg, a product of 17 failed surgeries.  I sat in my wheelchair and thought of my two year old grandson who might have to start school with his daddy in jail..These cruel people said we could pay $760.40 and that would clear him,but we didn't have that.  my husband is retired but still has to work to make ends meet.  We finally agreed to pay $360.00. to clear his name  then I made a call to them asking for their address in Lexington,Kentucky and they refused to give it..Then I did what I should have done at first , call better business bureau.  yhat would have saved me many tears.

These fools called me today asking about money to settle a fake debit ona bad check...these guys are a scam.....

This "company" has contacted my place of work, trying to contact a co-worker about a debt in reference to a bad check from 2003. In our state (WA), the statute of limitations to file criminal charges for fraud is 6 years. We've had two different "callers," an older woman who gave her name as Victoria London, and a man named Melvin Griffin. They get very upset when advised that you're forwarding any documents they've sent you (emails, faxes, etc) to your attorney, and try to cut a deal with you to halve the amount they claim is owed. And if you begin to argue or present legitimate concerns, they will hang up. Do not fall prey to these scammers!

I got the same phone call, at my Federal Government job!. Needless to say, Homeland Security was called in, the call was caught and stopped, but I was not reassigned to my federal contractor position.Lost my job. Blacklisted from federal government- I pose liability, to others, as these could be hackers!. Total fraud victim. Do not fall for this. Do not answer this phone call. If you don't recognize the number, don't pick up!!!

Got a message from this company direct restitution office and said that I owe money and that my license and social security number is connected to the case. They even left a case number and that I should call them immediately or they will take legal action regarding the filed case against me. THIS IS A TOTAL SCAM!!! Please DO NOT allow them to take your hard earned money. If you are getting a weird call from a weird number please do some research first and know who is calling you. This is how they get people. So BE AWARE OF SCAMMERS!

They are calling and threating my husband and I and we have no idea what they are atlking about.

I JUST GOT A CALL LIKE THIS AND TOLD ME IT IS A FRAUD CASE AGAINST ME IN MY COUNTY AND I NEED TO CALL THEM BACK TODAY AT 888-900-3120 OR THEY WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION. I AM NOT CALLING BACK BUT IF THEY CALL ME THEN I AM GOING TO TELL THEM WHO THEY ARE AND TO NOT CALL ME AGAIN. THEY CALLED MY JOB AND MY CELL PHONE I HAVE BLOCKED THEM OFF OF MY CELL BUT CANNOT BLOCK THE WORK PHONE.

Called and left message on answering machine regarding fraudulent use of drivers license and social security number and must get in touch today.  Looked up online and discovered it is a scam.

I called them back, told them to take my number off their list, and they did.

These people are crazy. I ran my credit and nothing appeared on my credit. It is a total scam. they told me they were going to put me on probation for writing a bad check. CK marketing put them on me.. Smh

Received a call as well...could barley understand her message...but got something about court and when she was saying the case number it disconnected...hmmmm. Told me to call her back to an 888 900 3120

Got a call from Diana and Melissa Gallager stating the police were on their way to arrest me at my place of employment. TOTALLY SCAM! But kinda scary!

someone from another # called my # looking for someone that used to work for the same company I do this is a scam and after returning the call the IAn wilson  hung up on me when I asked who and why were they calling my # . I would like to report this to authorities if anyone can tell me who to direct the call to!

I got a call less than 30 minutes ago as well from a woman also telling me I was going to jail for bank fraud, check fraud, etc. Are these people connected to Pay Day Loan companies as their debt collectors????? This woman was very forceful and said that an officer would "stop by today and take me in".......

Or they answer with an officer "duche bag".....lol..........total scam.

They called my mother and told her I was being taken to jail for check fraud........TOTAL SCAM!!!!!

They called & left a message for my sister saying that they had a summons for court, & needed to hear from her today.  Sadly, I haven't spoken to her in almost two years, so I'm assuming they paid a service {e.g. US People Search} to obtain info about her relatives.  Their gimmick may be enough to convince some to pay, I know I was panicked for a minute...took a breath, checked out the number, & realized it's a total scam.

Obviously, these people need to be stopped, but what I want to know is:  Why is the phone company selling Caller I.D. spoofing tools, & then charging me for Caller I.D. that does not block illegal VOIP numbers???

Why is the government allowing these "people finder" searching services to operate when their purpose is to allow scum like these people to literally financially rape the public illegally.  Isn't it bad enough that we have to be excessively careful about everything we do anymore?  Law enforcement web sites say outright that it's nearly impossible for them to track these b*****ds down.  They don't even really try.  So, why not eliminate the most blatant sources that make it ridiculously easy for them to hurt people?  Why don't the HIPPA regulations include them?

its bill collectors pretending to be the real government which is ILLEGAL. as soon as i said that in the phone. they hung and never called back.
the real government sends letters. not phone calls and emails. and when you call back they don't just say hello.
