THEY CALLED ME TELLING ME I owe some money to a bank. They got my info. But I canceled my card.  Im so stupid.

I just got a voice mail from them myself. This happend earlier this year pretty much the same info and from canada. a pay day loan i defalted on back three years ago, at a bank i have never had an account with in a county i have never lived in. so i told the guy, well, go ahead and send me the info, copy of the application, the signed agreement and authorizaation and copy of the pay day loan check that was given to me. i told him im going to call the county in which he stated, to see if in fact there was any record let alone a warrent for arrest (lol). a wonderful lady i spoke to with the county took my info, and looked into my "file" and said that in fact they have no record what so ever and that she also did a state wide check and in fact came up with nothing at all, not even a parking ticket. she also advised that in my state, we do not place warrents out for arrest for not paying a pay day loan or any other types of loans off.

i gave her all the information i had been given by thsi person, all i remember is he said his name was michael at that time. she said it sounded like a scam and to contact my county non emergency police and make a report and give all the info to them. also to give them her info to validate or they can look her up on the website for her county.

the police officer followed up and said the number is from canada. no matter what, remember that even if it is a "company" stating they are an american company, and the number is outside america, they are trying to route their number to become undetected or "blurred", it is still illegal as hell to collect a debt outside of the country of origin. plus the name the police officer had gotten from this guy was a joke. i called it and it was a debt collector who had no clue who i was nor had any file on me.

do not let these scare or scam you! if it is valid, they will be more than happy to validate any thing you ask them to. if they can not, how can they sue you, let alone try to have you arrested?lol

This number called my cell phone today. It was weird because my phone never even rang, it just went straight to voicemail. OK, so they would have heard that my name is not "Dustin Baroche." They left a snotty recorded message about dire consequences if this Dustin didn't contact them right away, blah, blah, blah. Well, I'm not wasting minutes to call them back. The call log displays only "Voice Mail Center" as the caller ID, so they're using some type of automated call system to bypass regular phone calls. I suspect it's a scam. Wish I could send a "ping of death" over the phone systems to these losers.

My dad received a phone message on his phone asking for me by my maiden name stating I had written a bad check. I called and they are stating I owe money on a credit card I don't have and haven't had in years. I stated that a message was left about a bad check and the girl was very defensive stating she did not leave a message. I told her i would have to look into this and call her back ; I didn't recall this credit card. She just said ok and hung up. Suspicious..... be careful- they are asking for you to verify the last 4 numbers of your social security number and not pushing for a payment....hmmmm

Get a call from these ppl everyday. The recorded message states they need me to call them concerning a complaint filed against my name or the have my private counsel to contact them. Stated that I would be arrested Friday11/15/13  at 11:00 am on my job if I did not return their call and that my job would be notified as well. I called them back and couldn't understand much because the person had a very heavy accent plus many people talking in the background. I was able to find out it was about a pay day loan and he did give me my SS# and date of birth.  That is the worst part knowing someone has my personal information and knows where I work. Other than that I basically told him to let me know when they'd be at my work and I'd meet them outside of the secured gate. Of course no one showed up but they did call my work phone and left a very threatening phone message.  I don't know how to stop the ppl and the threats.  If anyone knows how please let me know. My cell phone is fine but to call my work is not.

I am receiving calls from this number daily, leaving a message because I am working and can?t pick up.  The message states like everyone else  that a merchant has hired them because I wrote a bad check and it is linked to my drivers license number.  It is an automated message however, a woman has also left a message and she states that they are filing charges at my county (she has the correct county) clerk of courts.  CRAZY?I don?t have any outstanding checks.  So stressful...I want it to stop!

I just tried to call this number back and it was no longer in service!!!!!  Which means that maybe something has been done!!!!

These people called my phone and left a message not for me but for a friend of mine that I was a "known associate" of.  My house phone is new and has only been in service two months, and the name they had for my friend was her maiden name, shes been married 3 years.  I have no idea how they got my information, or hers for that matter but they knew a lot of personal info that honestly scares me that they knew.  It was again a 'Jennifer Collins' and she had a fake account number and threatened to go to the county court where we live to pursue further action.  The question I have, is how do we report this, and who do we report it to?  What is being done criminally to prosecute these people?  What about the less savvy people who might just hand over the money in fear of criminal prosecution?  Please any answers about what we can do to protect ourselves would be appreciated.

They called my job and harassed me about something that they say I did with a check in 2007.  How did they get my job information is what I will like to know.

this number 801-917-6318 has been calling my parents home number leaving scary messages about you are being investigated and you better call us or we will take you to your county clerk of court and also has somehow started calling my daughters cell phone how would any one be able to get anyones cell phone number and saying the same thing. This is a scam of course i have clhecked with the clerk of courts and this is a scam number do not answer it

They left a message on my phone to call them. Could not understand who they were calling for or what they were trying to say.
Seemed that it was an unprofessional call.

A Jennifer Collins called my mother's home leaving a threatening message for me. My mother was very shaken after the call. I the number and spoke to a fast talking guy who was trying to gather information on me.  THIS IS A SCAM!!!! DO NOT GIVE OUT PERSONAL INFORMATION.

I got a letter from these guys with an address in Toronto Canada. (720-125 King St., West STE 463 Toronto On. M5v 3s5)  The return Phone number was (801-917-6318). I called the number and the guy who answered was a "fast-talker" that wouldn't let me ask any questions as to the validity of the bill. He said it I owed Wachovia Bank $2,052 from an account that was closed in Alabama in 2011. I told him I lived in Washington DC in 2011, and that could not be the case. He said he would settle the case for $1,052. I asked him to send me a copy of my "account" with a Wachovia letterhead. I also stated that a company in another country had no jurisdiction in the USA. He then told me he was in New York, but they also had locations in California, Ohio, Arkansas, and then he rattled of 7 more states that didn't make sense. He Told me he didn't care if I paid the bill or not because he was an Arbitrator. I said "Then Why did you contact me"?....He got mad, cussed me out, told me he would "See me in court"
and hung up the phone..........This is A SCAM.----------------------------I just called the number back to the SCAM ARTISTS at FS Mediation. I did a little digging and found that the "company" is owned by Travell Thomas. His mother Cynthia is part of the scam. They live at 56 Fennimore Ave., Buffalo, NY (allegedly). Travell is a poker player and has a bit of a gambling problem(allegedly). If you google his name, under images, you can see the thing. After I busted them, I immediately got a call back from Travell pissed as hell. It was fun. He told me that he knew about this page and everyone that posted here "Just didn't want to pay their bills". And again he said he would "See me in court"...Hahaha. What a joke!!!.....I did report them to the FBI at fbi.gov . Apparently, these types of scams are frequent, however, you should still report them.

Please do file reports with the FBI, your state attorney general and Department Of Justice,FTC & FCC..

These people had the nerve to call my mothers home while is terminally ill.How dare they.

I also received a call from them today saying that I wrote a bad check. I haven't written a check in 2 years, so obviously this is a scam! Called my bank and they told me to not trust these people and dont call them back or give them any type of information.

I also received a call today 10/24-2013, in CA from 801-917-6318 stating from an automated message that it was regarding a bad check.  I just called customer service at my bank and they stated NOT to call them back and NEVER provide any information to this type of SCAM company.  Good Luck folks!!

I got a call from them today - automated voice mail said I wrote a bad check and that it was linked to my drivers license - I write about 5 checks a year - called my bank - they said something isn't write about these guys - it's a scam.  Don't give them any info-

Same as everyone else. Messaging stating a local merchant received a bad check form me (I don't write checks) and that a claim was being filed against my driver's license. Driver's license? Really. Next time they call I will speak to someone and record it.

Called and said that I was being prosecuted in a court case for giving out false information on one of their clients.  Never did; never will!   These people are scam artists....Beware!!!!!

Yeah I received a call from this number, it says it is from Utah. I don't pick up calls from number that I do not know, so I don't know the purpose of the call.

They left a message on my cell stating that I owe someone for a bad check.  Sure is funny that the bank has NO history of any bad check!  This is a scam!  Be careful and block them from calling. FYI .. They will not receive any calls from blocked numbers

They send my husband a letter saying he owe money for a pay day loan. The lady said that my husband wrote a bad check. that this account was REALLY BAD..... IS all fake my husband  never got a pay day loan on writes check I do. so this is a SCAM be careful.

David Micheals called me from this number today. He had information about me. He had my SS# and date of birth.THIS IS A SCAM!!  
They claimed I had an unpaid payday loan and legal action would be taken against me, if I didnt pay them what i supposedly owed them. Do not fall for this and tell them politely to go F%^& THEMSELVES!!
