I too have a Peter Cash (pcash12345@gmail.com) e-mailing for a quote (weird name, Cash?  you mean you want my cash?).  He asked for 2000 shirts.  We replied that we were not blank T-shirt suppliers.  He responded by sending us art work so we did a quote for him.  It still seemed weird ~ He called, it sounded like he was in a call center or something, had a thick accent and he seemed distracted.  He called from the same phone number RG spoke of.  It doesn't look good ~ Glad I found this site too.:)

I think the scam is this:

1. The crooks run up the credit card with bogus charges for t-shirts or other products.
2. Receive the t-shirts.......
3. Original credit card owner claims bogus charges on the cc which is true but we don't know it.
4. The crooks keep the t-shirts and probably re-sells them.
5. You have to repay for shipping charges, the t-shirts and any other charges on the credit card.
6. You are out all that money and the crooks keep the t-shirts to resell on e-bay......

..........I'm also so glad I found this site! I got the same message from Peter Cash. He requested 1000 t-shirts from me. He provided a credit card that cleared for $4,150.00. But he provided me a delivery address in New York though the card and his address was in California, and there was a different name receiving the delivery. Red flag number 1. Then his t-shirts were actually delivered but were refused, twice in 1 day....Red flag number 2. Then he told me that he left his home and missed the delivery.

Question: Why are you purchasing the t-shirts under your name, having the t-shirts delivered in someone else name, and tell me you were not there to receive the delivery? If you were going to be there, why are you asking me to deliver in someone else name? Red flag number 3.

I finally contacted Mastercard........through trickery....I selected the option for a new card just to get a voice............found out which bank offered the card. Called the bank to see if his name and address were on the account for this credit card and found out his name is not on that account, the address he provided does not match the address on record and he is not the owner.....wow.

Fourth red flag, now he has a partner who wants to order 1,500 t-shirts, any style, but in white and have them sent to Norway, while he flies to Australia to visit his sick wife......Yikes!!!!!!

Beware!!!  I will be cancelling the order in the morning.......!!!!!!!!!!!!

Within two days, now the orders are a rush job...."Can you hurry, I really need those t-shirts." Give me a break.......You see the name Peter Cash or Elvis Morrison.............run as fast as you can... "Run Forest Run!!!!!"

I agree, not just broken English, it is shattered.......use two different phone numbers...one beginning with 951 and another with 813....what a clown!!!!

I recieved the following from Bill Rammy.  I belived it was a scam.  After a couple of e-mails regarding payment (payment seemed very important) I asked for a blueprint for the part.  I have heard nothing in return confirming it was not legit.  The email is below:

I know spam instantly now. They all sound about the same. I get about 3 a year like this. First catch is who writes "Dear" anymore. Plus people usually want quotes before they ask "How can I pay." The name of the banner was a instant clue for me as well. Also, there IP is from Africa.

So glad I found this site! Got an email from Peter Cash (pcash12345@gmail.com). Wanted 2000 tshirts (mostly smalls) and price was not really an object. He called from phone number
904-834-4704. Spoke with him today. He speaks very broken english and gave me a MC but wanted me to give him a total without shipping before charging. Card was in a woman's name from NC and he wanted us to drop ship the shirts to Michigan. Needed this to go through ASAP and has already called me again 3 times in the matter of 15 minutes, but I haven't answered due to checking into the info. he gave me. Have reported it to the local police. Seemed VERY sketchy from the beginning and luckily went with our gut feeling. Staying far away from this one!

I knew the first one was a scam when I saw this email.  The sad part is that I have a shirt business and thought the email was legitimate.

I didn't think twice and sent quote. He immediately got back with a credit card number wanting to place the order. He asked to run $1000.00 first, and if that went through to run the rest, but that card got declined. I told him it didn't go through and he provided another card, except the address for the second was in California, whereas the first one was from North Dakota. So I ran it anyway and it went through! He happened to call me after I ran his card asking if it went through. I was suspicious at that time so I told him that he needs to come in with the credit card so I can make carbon copy, get a copy of his I.D. and get signature on credit card receipts. He then hung up and I haven't heard back from him since. I guess I should've known right away but I am too busy trying to my a great success of my business.
I've reported this to the FBI and sorry to whoever's card I charged...

Called me and Ordered 80 banners. Something didn't sound right so I made some calls. He gave me two credit card #'s. One was a valid Card # that did not match his name and the other was not valid. I Found out by calling MC Directly.

This clown, now named Ken Bruce is attempting to purchase fine art bronze sculpture from my company.

I feel sorry for any business that does not check out potential customers when they try to purchase online items.

Business owners beware! Check out online buyers before accepting credit cards or shipping merchandise.

I have found out a little more about this incident.
I was given two different Mastercard  numbers. What I now know is that the first six numbers are the issuing bank for the card. The bank has to be notified if there is a problem and Mastercard has nothing to do with the fraudulent use of credit cards.
The first bank I contacted was AT&T Universal, which said it could do nothing. I believe this card was still active since I was able to get the balance, the amount due and the last payment made. I put in the card number and the zip code to get this information.
The second bank, Capitol One, put me through to the fraud department. The man there said the card had been canceled, but again he said he could do nothing.
As I understand it, because I was not the cardholder the banks could not take any action on the attempted fraudulent use of these cards.
I hope if someone calls to report the fraudulent use of my credit card, my bank calls me and tells me someone is using my card.
This whole thing makes me very angry.

I just tried to call Mastesrcard and it is like calling NOTHING. I got two options - am a cardholder or a merchant.

I first picked merchant and the recording said they could not help me so to contact my credit card vendor.
Then I picked card cardholder and got recordings that gave me a response and then the phone goes dead.

The phone number I used had been given to me by my credit card vendor (I am not sure if that is the correct terminology for the company that supplies my terminal for credit card sales.)

I went to the Mastercard website and submitted a complaint, but I am sure anything will happen.

Looks like it is hard to do a good deed.

This guy is at it again. This time he is Jim Glen and wants 100 sheets of shoji paper for an address in Isreal.

I checked on Google Maps both the addresses for the two Mastercards he gave me and they were not perfect and the maps could not come up with the exact addresses. They were close but not exact.

I checked his name (Jim Glen) and a similar one came for the first card address he gave me. The card would not work. He called again the next day with a new card, again it would not work.

I think he is working with also as the  freight company, since he asked that I use only Ocean Freight Line. I did look up  that company on the Internet but the freight company I found had something about it I did not like.  I did not like the email sent to me confirming the shipping price.

He would not let me ship his order direct from my vendor in Japan but had to have the product shipped to me in Hawaii and then sent on to him. The fright would have cost him $1000 more for the order.

Lame! It's a retail walk in store, so why not just drop in to buy something?  Oh, that's right, might get caught running a bogus card. They will get caught anyway.
