One of the addresses I found for this number is the same address as Comcast in South Burlington, VT. I happen to have Comcast for cable and internet services and my cell number, although is not out there for the public, it is listed as an alternate contact number on my Comcast account. I have a small business so I have to answer my phone all the time but since the caller hangs up on me every time I answer I have no idea what they are calling about. On Linked In, there seem to be a number of former Comcast employees who are now employees of Telecove of VT. Coincidence? I think not. Unfortunately, we can put ourselves on the DO NOT CALL lists but whenever we sign up for services we are essentially signing up to get information from their partners as well and that supersedes the DO NOT CALL list. Opting out only tells them not to sell our information but it doesn't mean they don't give our info to their "partners". I am now blocking those specific numbers from my phone so at least they don't bother me anymore.

They keep calling 2 times a day to my work phone.  I answered once and realized this is some sort of telemarketer.

These people are calling me during the day at work!!  It started yesterday and I answered the call the first time and it was some man asking for me.  When I asked what it was in reference to he said he was calling from what I thought he said was CVBS so I hung up.  They called back several times yesterday and today.  Not sure how they got my office phone number.  Thank God for caller ID!

I get calls everyday from this number but they leave no information for contacting them back. Therefore, I do not respond.

since looking on this website i finally called the number back. its a debt collector CVPS. if we paid our bills we wouldn't get the calls. that simple.

well it is not a legitimate business clearly it is a scam. also when you google the number the only things that come up are people reporting harassing phone calls from that number and no actualy site for an actual collection agency. i am going to block them if the calls continue.

The call is from Credit Bureau Collection Services

I am in the same boat as Annoyed Vermonter, and from other posts I have read it other people go through the exact same thing. One person has even answered the phone and said they were incredibly rude and it was regarding an estranged relative even and her debt. they call as late as almost 8 oclock at night and never leave messages. I am certain it is a scam and it has got to stop. I am close to reporting them to the cops because I dont know what else to do.

I never answer their calls and from the sounds of it, it wouldnt get me anywhere! they never leave a message, and they even call on weekends and evenings after 7 oclock! it is obviously a scam of sorts, i am to the point where i may pay to have their numbers blocked so they cant even reach me...i have also received incredibly harassing phone calls from a 773- number, a man who leaves a voicemail everyday and identifies himself as "Jonathan", trying to collect a bill that has already been paid, and i am about to call the cops on him. not sure if this is a related scam to the 392- numbers.

This number calls me twice a week always in the morning, around 8:15.  A message has never been left.  I don't have any medical bills or any debts that would be in collections.  Weirdest part, they call my cell.  I don't give that out for anything professional, only my friends/family have that number.

We get 2-3 calls a day from this number, rude people who are asking for my wife's estranged mother. The guy I spoke with tonight was named "Keith". He was very rude and pushy, and would not accept my request to stop calling us. We don't have anything to do with that lady. Got fed up trying to talk sense to this jerk, told him I didn't have to talk with him and goodbye.

They called and said please hold. Once a woman finally got on the phone she wanted to instantly record me without telling me who she was or where she was calling from. Very unprofessional if I have a say.

Possibly a medical bill collector according to several similar posts I have seen.  However, they call after business hours and never leave messages to call them back, so it could be a fraud attempt as well.  Sounds fishy to me.

well their repetitive calling at non-business hours is incredibly unprofessional, and since no messages are ever left, I really dont believe this is a legitimate collecting agency...my guess is that it's a scammer and since we have medical bills our names our flagged in a credit scan...any thoughts from anyone? i'm not sure how this would go about being reported but it's harassment and the calls need to stop. thoughts?

I, too, have medical bills and this number shows up on my caller ID at LEAST  3-4 times each and every day.  They begin calling at 8:15am and continue until just about 9 pm.  Thinking about buying a nice , new SHRILL whistle and giving them a taste of it the next time they call !

that sort of makes sense...they call at the most random/inconvenient hours and never leave a message...is this the case with anyone else as well? i do have med bills so this would make sense i just wasn't sure sense they never leave a message...but maybe they aren't allowed to since it's protected health information...but if anyone has further insight that would be great!

i think its a collection agency for medical bills.
