Go to http://www.fakenamegenerator.com/ The site will create a fake identity complete with ssn, and credit card, car info, address, phone #, everything you will need to tie these b*****ds up in knots! Print it out and keep it by the phone. All of it will work on their computers right up to the point where they try to process an actual withdrawal using the "fake" credit card. It will take up lots of their time! This tactic also works great on the ever popular "Rachel" calls to lower your interest rate. But you have to remember to tell them that you have an $8500.00 outstanding balance. That appears to be the break-off point.

I just got this call too. On a land line that I only have for my "bundle" cable package.

Just got the calll.... Did not pick up as i was busy..... dialed the number from my desk a little later.... "Press 1 if you do not want to be called by us" was the message... Pressed 1 and hung up.

They called my cell today.  I did not answer due to being at work and not recognizing the number (802-488-3090).  


Voice mail was left and sounded cut off at the beginning and it said, "Activated to protect you against the cost of repairs.  If you have not responded to this notification its not too late.  Please don't make the mistake of driving without a warranty.  You are still eligible to reactivate warranty coverage.  this is the final call before we close the file.  Press 1 now to speak to a representative about your vehicle.  Press 2 to be removed from the follow up list."  

Total scam because the only vehicle I have in my name is like 16 years old and has over 255k miles on it (Dave Ramsey car!!).  

I wonder who sold my number.

Got this phone call on my cell phone. Did not know this number and did not answer. I saw it was coming from Vermont.But now I know who it is.

I've got a call, but I even don't own a car. It was an automatic message so I've just finished it.

I received this call on my cel phone also -- blah blah blah - warranty expired.  I didn't push any buttons and just let the call run out and finally it disconnected.  Here's the thing:  the ONLY time I have EVER given out my cel phone number (other than to friends and family) was when I used it as one of the voting options on the television show "The Voice."  I REGRET it so much now.  Before that, I never received solicitation calls on my cel phone.  But ever since, I get one a week.  Never again.

It's a SPAM phone call from some Auto warranty company.  Both of my vehicles are at least 20 years old, so no warranty there!  I have reported this to the FCC as well.

Have received a call of annoyance from them several sporatic times on this line, as well as others.  They leave no VM.  If you attempt to call back you do not reach someone to find out what company it is.   The only time I actually picked up and heard a message (AUTOMATED MESSAGE) It was regarding "Warranty that is reaching expiration on an automobile"...... Has nothing to do with me, any of my vehicles or anyone in my family.   I AM SURE THAT THIS IS SOME KIND OF AUTOMATED COLD CALLING SALES MACHINE.   I wish there were a way to stop them.   I will come in from other numbers as well (this is how they work around the DO NOT CALL laws).

Called my cell phone twice this morning.  I did not answer.  They left no message.

They called me this morning and I did not answer.  I called it back and all I got was "If you like to be placed on our do not call list please press one."  I sit and waited for a few seconds to see if there was anything else but there wasnt.  Probably just a way they are collecting cell phone numbers.

Received a call at 730 am . Did not recognize number so i didnt answer .

got a call from them.  after reading all these comments, I hope they call me back again and I want to answer.  Give them a little taste of their BS.

I just got one call that i let go to voice mail and then not even a second later they call back. I have answered it before and hang up every time I hear warranty because I know for a fact my car doesn't have a warranty. These people are scammers don't give them your information!

Just got the same call (802) 488-3090 @ 12:30 est on 2/24/13, didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

Since I haven't given my personal number out to any but basic essential business or personal connections I didn't answer and no message was left.  Other posts indicated that was the best approach.

Same thing, warranty renewal, this is my second notice. Too bad I never had a car.
