I answered once & told them I wasn't interested. They keep calling ....so I pick up the line & then immediately hang up.

Keep in mind that just because Level 3 owns the phone number doesnt mean that its Level 3 calling you. Level 3 provides phone numbers to businesses, so it could be any number of companies actually calling you.

Friends I have hit pay dirt this morning concerning the phone call from 802-548-4392. This number in fact belongs to Level 3 Communications. I researched until I found an email address for them.I sent an email to them at there main office and a lady called me back and gave me an email address to report abuse. It is abuse@level3.com. Send your complaint to get them to stop calling.

These folks call A LOT! It's ridiculous. They've called probably about 8-10 times in the past few days. They leave no message. They even call at 8:15 in the morning. It's aggravating and illegal. I'm on the do-not-call list, plus as I understand it they're in violation of the hours they would be allowed to call if I weren't on the do-not-call list.

They have called us about 8 times in the few days. I have asked them repeatedly to stop calling. One fellow was very rude.

comes up as unknown caller--asked if this was a business number--a real smartmouth...

The 802-548 exchange is a "Pooled" exchange in Vermont. US Cellular originally owned the entire 10,000 numbers, but due to "code exhaust" had to "Pool" the exchange. Level 3 Communications now owns the 802-548-4xxx block of numbers. This shows up on Caller ID as "US Cellular" because the terminating carrier is using old data in their LIDB database lookup, and only referencing the "A Code" owner (the original owner of record), which was US Cellular. This call is NOT from US Cellular, nor does the user have any affiliation with them.

They have called our business 5 times in the last 3 days. We have told them to take us off their list, but they keep calling. When we *69, the number 802-548-4392 has a recorded message which states they are administering a survey on green business practices and since we were unavailable they contacted another participant.

They are driving me NUTS, call several times a day! I don't need this, I am an accountant!!! What a taxing situation

Caller I D comes up US Cellular. Called our home wanting my husband's office to verify information for "free" listing for Online Green Pages. They had our home address and phone number listed as his office information. Their website is there, but couldn't find any listing for his business. He is a medical professional. I think they are probably trying to sell online listings and using telemarketing to do so. Declined their offer, and will block calls if they call back.

comes up as US Cellular on my caller id. they call a couple of times a day and never leave a message. i'm guessing it's just telemarketing as i've never had an account with this company. does anyone know differently? they're awfully persistent.

Dumb telemarketers....
WC 2011-03-15 19:41:21 Unknown
You can block them and any other numbers you want to block. Get the Interceptor ID, Person-To-Person box. You just program numbers that you don't want into it and afterwards your phone will never ring again from those numbers. Works great. All the caller gets on the other end is just ringing. Eventuall the calls will stop when they don't even get an answer. Works on landlines only.

this company harassed my business line until i couldn't take it anymore. i finally gave in and stopped for a moment to talk to them. after the rep got through all her BS questions, they put me through to a recording to verify the information. on the last question, it was asking something about a service for a cost of $49.99...the rep interrupted the recording and asked "are you still there?" as I answered "yes" she patched me back through to the recording just in time to accept the service charges.
this number is a scam and a rip off and if they call you should tell them to NO LONGER call your company.
information to get on their call block list follows:
1-866-303-2475
rp 2011-03-11 19:43:51 Unknown
See my previous reply above. Same thing happened to me only I COULD here what the other recording was saying over the reps voice. I would be agreeing to pay $49 a month (charged automatically to my phone bill) for some service i didn't need. These guys are crooks!
rp 2011-03-11 19:39:25 Unknown
Yes, this happened to me. I stayed on long enough for them to record my "yes" answers to questions verifying my business name, phone #, address, & then right when the recorded voice begins to talk about a $49 charge being charged to my bill, the representative who originally talked to me "talks over" that recording & tells me to make sure not to hang up & to answer Yes one last time. Fortunately for me, I could understand the American accent recording much better than the foreign accent of my rep. What a joke! If I had said yes, they could have used that against me when I tried to dispute charges at a later date. BEWARE!!!

I too have received numerous calls and filed a complaint to FCC. Everyone should file a complaint. Thanks DD!
DD 2011-03-11 17:48:10 Unknown
Go to http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm to report these calls. The more complaints received, the more likely some action might be taken against this company.

calls several times a day. I don't answer. One time I called the # and got a recording that says it was a survey. No way to get off their call list. Will report to FCC right now- FWIW.

Mulit. calls a day into our office.. I don't have time for this day after day!!!!!!
Desmond 2011-03-11 00:43:30 Unknown
This number calls at least twice a day and when they do leave a message (I won't answer it), it is always the same person saying, "Hello? Hello? Hello?" on and on. I am in California, so it sounds like they are calling all over the place. Very annoying people.

This IS NOT actual USCellular. These people are able to make their calls show up as USCellular on the caller ID, do not give them any info.
