I am getting calls too probably collection agency from my Hospital Bills.  I was told by our roommate who works in a hospital that Hospitals write the bills off after a certain point of time.  So, he said to ignore the calls and it will eventually be taken off my Credit Report.  People have to go to the Hospital when they are sick or hurt and if you cannot pay people do not look at that is being a bad thing.  Yes, they will still call and try to get you to pay.  BUT the best thing to do is ignore the calls and it will drop off after a certain point of time.  IF you take the call the time starts over before it drops off.

If you are getting calls at 1AM from unknown numbers from Debt Collectors then they are scammers!  #1. Debt Collectors are NOT allowed to start calling before or after a certain time of day.  #2. Debt Collectors are NOT allowed to block their number when they call you!  Report them to the FTC and FBI immediately!  Next time they call get as much information as you can from them and then report them immediately!

They keep calling me asking for someone who I do not know. I called back on yesterday and told them to stop calling me because they have the wrong number. They put me on hold and then hung up on me.

These guys are annoying at the bare minimum they call at least three times a day  .   I got metro block it just for them.  It's only a dollar a month and i get peace.  

Just answered my husband's cell phone and I told the lady he passed away 4 days ago, she told me she could not tell me what kind of company they were until she had proof. I'm his damn wife you beast. If you can't tell me what company your with why should I fax you proof my husband passed away. She didn't even offer condolences, again "you beast".

Just got a new number/ cell and this was the first call I got.  Didn't answer, no voicemail left.

803-217-3810 and 3814, kept harassing us even we faxed them the document proving that the bill has already been paid.

They called again asking for someone name miss jackson ,, i said she is related to michael , call his family ! , they have a ton of money , i have had this number for a year ,,, and hung up ,,, morons ,,

They ask for someone that does not live at my address or have my phone number (I have had this number for over 30 years)

They also use other numbers in the same sequence:
    803-217-3811 and
    803-217-3810

Definitely a debt collector.

These people call me wanting to talk to my son whom is a minor and is still in high school and refuse to talk to me because I'm not the person they want to talk to I refuse to talk to them because they could only tell me they were from amcol and need edge to talk to him

These people call about 10 times a day....will not leave a message and when I call the number back there is an automated answering service which announces they are "Amcol Services, a collection agency, but you can never talk to anybody, just stay on hold with music playing. weird

calling several times a day, leaving no messages, calling at 8 am every morning and late at night.

Just got a call from these people and they refused to tell me who they were collecting for without verifying my information. I didn't know if they were scammers or not, so I refused to verify anything. Now I think the hospital I went to last year referred me to collections for not committing to pay a minimum of $50 a month on my bill, even though I was paying that anyway. How can someone send you to collections when you're payIng your bill? Seriously, I went from a $200 bill down to less than $100 and they send me to collections? Next time, I'll die before I go back to that hospital.

Just got a call from them bill collectors for medical bills.

Amcol called us 2 months ago. Proved this bill had been paid. Still calls us daily. Today, our babysitter answered the phone and Bridget asked Who she was, what was her position in my home, how much she made, what was our jobs, do we both work?

I blew a cork and whats worse when I called them this evening to again tell them we do not owe this bill, he Brian informed me I was not the person he could speak with.

So, clearly is it legal for them to harrass a babysitter on the phone? Especially when this in not a liability to any of us? Regardless, this young lady has gone beyond what I feel is appropriate for "debt collecting".

By the way, he did agree to talk to me after I informed him I was reporting the offense of Bridget!

I too got this message for someone who had the number years ago and had an outstanding surgery/medical bill.

They're idiots - even if you tell them that you're not the person or don't know the person - they still want to go to the spiel and ask - does anyone in your household have knowledge of this person...

The worse part is that these folks have many clients - the same rep (very distinct voice & accent) tried to sell me a timeshare in Florida a few weeks back - what the heck is this?

My 16 y/o son keeps getting this number on his cell.  He certainly has no debt to collect.

An automated female voice message comes on with a message for a gentleman whose last name is Campbell.  I don't know how they got this #.

how do we report this?? its really geting annoying

"This is a call from Amcol Systems regarding a debt collection for Paula K.  Please call us back at 803-217-3808 and reference account # 298****."

I am getting this recorded message at least 3 times a week from them, for the last 4 months or so.
I have never heard of Paula K. before.

Another for Amcol is 803-217-3804. I think it might be a specific number for a specific agent.

I'm irritated, can you tell? Lol.


I mean "works with these people. *sigh*"

Just got a call from these people with an automated voicemail saying that they were Amcol Systems calling for a Gabriela something or other and to please call them back.


Great, so now I have some f-ing cow using my number (when I get plenty of unknown calls from people at 1 in the morning looking for April) for debt collections!? Argh.


Wonderful to know that my voicemail that says "if you're looking for any one else besides [me], please update your systems because I've had this number for over a year and no one else can be contacted at this number" with these people. *sigh*

Got a call today from this number I think it is a bill collector for Surgical Associates
