Best thing to do ive found over the past 3 weeks of these calls, is call them back! Tell them you know they are a scam, not who they say they are, and that you are reporting them to the FBI, the FTC, and their phone carrier. (which ive found is "Magic Jack" phone service most of the time) And after you have called them and told them all this, call them back again, and again, and again, and again!!! Bug them until they get mad.... It works!

Ive been receiving calls from these people for three weeks now, diferent # everytime. They are all indian sounding, and all with american names like "Jack Gates" or "Richard Simpson". They all claim the same thing that they are lawyers, and they have a case against me, and that i will be arrested at my home or work, and or be receiving documents in the mail..... Hasnt happened yet!!!!!!! And they never will tell you what the case is really about?

This number is a sure scam! I just called the # back today after receiving another call. They claimed tobe someone totally diferent this time, and the guy that answered, answered saying he was an "officer" something, then after questioning him, the said he was a lawyer.... The law firm they say they work for doesnt exsist!!!

Received a call from this # today, said they were a "lawfirm", and that the indian sounding person talking to me was a lawyer. He told me i was a prime suspect in a case. Wouldnt say what the case was? Ive been recieving calls like this for the past three weeks, all indian sounding, and claiming tobe law inforcement officials or lawyers, saying i owe money, or exc. I have googled the other number ive received, and the feedback on all the numbers like this one is that its a "SCAM".... Ive even looked up the lawfirms, with zero success. They dont exsist! THIS # IS A SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! REPORT IT TO THE F.B.I. and to the FTC...

Verizon Wireless Customer Service Representative phoned me regarding internet request I made to Verizon. The call back number and extension is legitimate for internet based requests. He was able to validate the information.

this is a valid Verizon phone number.  i received it from a customer service representative at the 800-922-0204 number they have.  this number and the extension i dialed (x7713) to reach the customer service rep i was looking for was regarding an internet customer service complaint i made.  it's not a fraudulent number, it's just a call center Verizon uses for internet requests.

professional male voice called claiming to be Roosevelt from Verizon; usual backbround noise like you would expect could be heard. he said he needed to confirm service activation request for a Jose Martinez. I do not have anyone by that name in my company or in family so asked what phone/number they were trying to get more services on?  He asked if I would confirm my password first. I almost gave it but got funny feelingand instead asked for phone number to call to confirm this was legitimate Verizon call.  He didn't miss a beat. gave me 803-400-4456 ext. 3971 and said it woudl go straight to his voicemail since he was on the line.  I suggested he hang up and let me call and he asked if I could call on another line.  I told him I didn't know anyone named Jose and I was concerned that someone may have stolen my elderly father's phone.  He assured me it wasn't a cell phone, but an "air card" for a laptop.  I said "in that case I can tell you absolutely no.  He thanked me and said he would confirm with Jose that he had given the correct account number.  After 2 calls to verizon I confirmed this number is not linked with Verizon Global services; that when you call their service numbers they will always identify themselves as Verizon.  This number just says "enter the 4 digit extension..."  To report this type of fraud go to www.phishing@verizonwireless.com
