Call from Direct TV to offer 5 more HD Channels for $4.95 which I already have.  Told them to take me off the list.

I have no less than 7 calls from this number in the last 2 weeks. Same complaints as everyone else. They even called when I was at Mass today! I already have Direct TV. If the calls continue I will DROP THEM.

Had a phone call from 803-675-1223 today at 5:30 pm , SUNDAY!  Good grief.  I discover that it is DirecTV.  Back in December a guy called to offer me 3 "free" months of HD channels.  Told him I absolutely did not want it and the guy kept telling me it was free and I could cancel before the 3 months was up.  I kept repeating I didn't want it and didn't want to have to remember to cancel.  The idiot just kept arguing with me and then he hung up on me!  Discovered he had actually activated those channels and when I called DirecTV to cancel the package, they told me I couldn't until after the 3 months. Can you believe that!  I forgot about the incident and then the channels showed up on my bill.  Called DirecTV and told them to take them off and not charge me for them.  A couple days later, I cancelled all the paid movie channels and subscribed to a less expensive package.  Now I suppose they are wanting me to re-subscribe to them or something else.  These people drive me crazy.  Utterly sick of DirecTV and their phone calls!

Very suspicious, I don't recall Direct TV having a 803 number.

I really think they?re going to have to get sued a few times before the calls will stop.  My brother is an attorney focusing on consumer protection law and has filed a few cases against telemarketers.  The fines are pretty stiff.  I?d be happy to  pass along the contact information for my brother if you want to pursue a legal claim.  He?ll talk to you for free and I?m sure he would be happy to help you.  512 538 80seventy

I've dealt  with far more annoying companies. Lol

For the past month or more, it seems, I have received calls from this number more than once a day. They interrupt meals, sleep and just anything else that may be going on in our home. I would appreciate it if they would just stop. They are not on the line when we answer. This is so frustrating.

DT called me when I call n0. back they trans to auto system and hang up. I caslled main office at 800 531 5000. they dont know why they called and acc is zero is all they worried about.They would not spot calls from 803 675 1223 i told main office to stop useing my time.They dont know why they called. maybe survet,or telemarketer for them REPORT IT as want to stop. There front office did nothing about it.

Just so you know. I don't have to download or set up anything on my 'crapple' device. If I don't want to get a call there is a 'block this caller' option.   I'm sure there are lots of nice android devices, but please don't disparage other devices just because you didn't choose one.

Call Direct TV customer service number and they can block your phone from getting any of the sales calls. Problem solved.

Called but left no message or voicemail. I returned the call and was told that no one could take my call due to extremely high call volumes. I was then transferred to an automated answering system. Left my name and number. We'll see if they return my call in a timely manner or not.

If they're calling you on your mobile device, download Zoner anti-virus from the Play Store (if you're using an Android, I don't think it's available for Crapple devices). Set a phone filter to block all incoming calls and texts, which can be done using the recent calls log. Then, when they call, it literally shows up for about a hundredth of a second so the phone can automatically hit the FU button and send it to voicemail. It does not show up on your recent calls or missed calls list, so if they're not leaving voicemails, you never even knew they called. Being that these jokers never leave voicemails, it's as if they were never there.

Don't rely on anyone to obey the DNC list. You can definitely hang companies out to dry for ignoring that list (have heard of several that were shut down because they violated any and all consumer privacy standards), but for me, it's easier just to block them with Zoner and go on with my day.

kept getting this call from this # on my cell phone, never new who it was and they would never leave a message?? so i just used Mr. Number to block them..now they will automatically be hung up on!!!!!

Called me three times today, thanks for 800notes.com I now know who it is. Direct TV is the most annoying company I have ever had the unfortunate experience to be associated with, can't wait for my contract to run out so I can get rid of them.

Thanks Amanda for the info.  I was told by DirecTv that only they would call me with offers once I give them a number.   To date, this is now the 4th or 5th supposed DirecTv number to call me about who knows what.  Liars.  They will say anything to get your business, then backtrack on everything they promise.

ya they called me and I automatically said no because I usually forget to cancel.. blew them away that I didn't want 3 free months of crappy hd channels. don't even have hd TV set .  now they are calling again no message

DIRECTV.  They will call and offer you 3 free months of 6-10 crappy HD channels.  I did it once, then called before the trial ended to cancel.  A few weeks later they called to offer me the deal all over again and I told them no thanks.  She seemed perplexed that I didn't want them.  Now 6 months later they're calling me AGAIN.  To offer the SAME crappy channels.  I like having DIRECTV but dang if they aren't annoying sometimes.

I also am getting these rather frequently with the same issue.  I have not called back.  I would be curious to know who this is though.

Called me at 815 both those times are not acceptable if you ask me.  We already dropped to the lowest package with only 2 Vs hooked up and we pay almost $100 a month. Cant wait for our contract to be up in 13 months. I didnt like Dish either. Bout to become an Internet watcher all together.

Called me at 615 am this morning. No message.

I've received two calls, one yesterday and today. They do not leave a message.  When I called it back, they put me on hold.
