First is a recorded message about lowering credit card interest and then given an opportunity to speak to a represenative by pushing one. I did so, woman came on and asked about my account. I told her I pressed one to talk with a damn stupid idiot about the harrassing calls and that I had asked numerous times from this and other numbers they are using. It is to no avail. They immediately hang up if you ask any questions.

Message from a scam credit card reduction company using numbers 803-692-1870 and also using several other numbers. I pressed the one to talk with a representative, not for long, when I told her I pressed one to talk with a dumb a-- representative about removing me from this dam- scam list and she immediately hung up. I know I am as sick and tired of this crap as everyone else.

This is a scam outfit called Credit Card Services offering phony relief on credit card debt. I have been getting calls from these guys for years always with the same pitch but, from different phone numbers around the country. Last week they called from what my caller ID showed as a cell phone in NJ. I have talked to their representatives many times asking to be removed from their call list and have filed a complaint with the Federal Do Not Call Registry EVERY time I get a call from these guys. If you ask for information where their company is located they immediately hang up.

The caller claimed they could reduce my credit card interest rate to 1 o/o .we must have $4,000 or more in credit card debt. Shortly after the conversation began the interest rate suddenly changed to single digits instead of the earlier quote. When we asked the name of the company that was calling, the person on the other end didn't even know! I believe it is a scam. The caller ID read South Carolina call.

On Monday August 15 at 2:20pm (by caller ID record and verified by clock) I received a call from an automated recording suggesting it was important I contact these folks to reduce my credit card interest rate. The caller ID showed "803-692-1870 Bishopville SC". I pressed "1" to be connected to an operator. The operator came on and immediately asked if I was calling in regard to 'the lower interest rate'. I said I was. He said he needed to ask a few questions to verify my eligibility, and asked how much I owed on my current credit cards. I thoughtfully told him about $3,000, a blatant lie. I have a MasterCard debit card with my credit union. He explained politely that it might seem unfair, but that their minimum qualification was $5,000.
I tried to ascertain who he was working with and how I might contact his company. I asked who he was working with if I ever needed to take advantage of their services. He answered I'd be getting something in the mail. I persisted in wanting to know who he was working with and he said "Finance Rewards", who works directly with Mastercard, Visa, and Discovery to reduce interest rates without hurting credit ratings. I asked where they work from and he said "Florida", and when I asked what city in Florida he said "Orlando". I asked if there was a number I could reach his company and he said he couldn't give that out because of homeland security(!!!) I asked him how I could contact them by mail and he said they didn't give that out over the phone.
At this point I knew the 'jig was up' and said, "so you know damned well you're calling in violation of Wisconsin's Do Not Call list." He responded that I had signed an agreement on my credit card application.
He never identified himself by name.

Got the call today from these lowlifes. I answered and the same thing as everyone else. I asked what card they were calling about knowing that this was a scam and they hung up. I called it back and some guy that sounds like he just got done smoking a fat one said something I couldn't understand. LOL. Sad to think they're are people that actually buy into this crap.

Called my cell phone - did not answer it. Just more War-dialing. They don't single you out, they just dial numbers, in order changing one digit at a time. I saved it as'Do NOT Answer 047'.

Received a call on my cell phone from this number. I didn't answer and no message was left. I wish there were a way to report these kinds of things...especially if I answer and waste my minutes!

I received a call yesterday from this number (8/10/2011), and missed it. I called them back today from a land line, and got the same, unintelligible response from what sounds to be a young to middle-aged African or African-American male. I can't tell if the speaker speaks English or if he is speaking in a foreign tongue, though. If it is foreign, it is very slurred, indicating inebriation or the influence of potentially illegal substance.
The first time I called, I was immediately hung up on, but the second time, aside from the noise of children in the background, the recipient of my call did not say a word nor make a sound but stayed on the line. After attempting to get him to respond by constantly questioning, "who is this" "who am I speaking with" "is someone there," etc., I finally hung up.
Who can we report this number to, besides this simple internet comment posting?

Got a call from this number today, answered and they asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate on my CC. I was in a restaurant at the time, so I hung up and then called back later. Some dude answered and muttered something like Duh du. Or something like that. I believe this is a scam.

803-692-1870 = Scammers
Do NOT answer this number.
If you have caller ID use it.
These people are phishing for your NFO by pretending
to provide a legit service.
These types of frauds are getting worse every year.
The best thing to do is to do is ignore them if you can. (C.I.D.)
If you don't have caller I.D. and you happen to answer the phone
don't ever press a # they give you as an option. This could potentially
redirect your phone line to a foreign number where you can be charged
for someone else's scam and/or long distance charges, etc.

Surely, the phone company can do something with this person....like disconnect their line? sounds as if they are a menace to more than several persons.
