Verizon bill collection

I don't know who this is or why they are calling.  I think it is insurance, but I blocked their number but they keep calling.

Speaks in broken English. Cannot tell what she is saying.  Told her I was not interested.  Kept receiving the calls. The last 5 times the number called me, no one answered.

Receiving repeated calls from 803-746-7837 - no-one is ever there.  Very annoying   Thank you for addressing this issue.

This call came up on caller ID as Allstate Insurance, and having elderly relatives with Allstate policies, I rushed to answer the phone. However, it was a solicitation call for Multiple dystrophy or Multiple sclerosis. After a very poor reading of a script by the person on the other end of the phone, I declined and called back the number on caller ID. Although the company was never identified, there was a recording about fund raising services this company provides. At 8:45 in the evening, I do not want to be called and am appalled this company used a false name to make me answer the call.

They must be back.  I get a call several times a day from this number.  I get please hold for an important call.  I hang up.  It is getting so annoying.

ITS A TELEMARKETING COMPANY, CALL CENTER IS IN MANILLA PHILPINES, THEY THEY THEY SELL PRODUCTS LIKE SENSA AND DIET GREEN COFFEE.  

THEY WILL SAY THAT THEY HAVE REMOVED YOUR NUMBER, BUT THESE LOW LIFE MINIMUM WAGE SLAVES ENJOY BUGGING CITIZENS OF UNITED STATES BY CALLING AGAIN AND AGAIN....

PLEASE LEGAL ADVISE,, HOW CAN WE SUE THEM.........

Calls from this number come late in the evening - caller neverleaves a message. I've never answered & don't intend to.

if you call the 705 numbers back within seconds of them calling, it will say "this phone number has been disconnected" or "this phone number is not in service."

i looked up these numbers and they are available numbers in the untied states right now. if you were to buy a phone, you could request them. so what does that mean? do they have access to the database of phone numbers that are currently not in use? this is one big crazy scam and i think we should find them. we should all get together and find them.

make them stop calling me

I have been getting calls from this number for days now; when I pick up, there is no one there and when I try to call back, a voice tells me I'll be connected with a representative and I'm on hold.
Wish I knew what I could do about those types of calls!!!

Just got a call from a woman with a thick Indian accent asking for my ex. We haven't been together for over 2 years, so I knew something wasn't right. She said that she was with Allstate insurance. When I told her that she had the wrong number she started asking me questions...umm no. "You have the wrong number. Goodbye!" and left it at that. Thought I may have had to call my ex to pass along the info, but it's clearly a scam.

Scammers. Do not verify information, do not give in to them on any of their threats. Do not give them any money. they run multiple scams including

Claiming to be law firms
Claiming to be debt collectors
Claiming to be a loan lender
Claiming you are receiving a grant
Claiming they are Tech support and you have viruses on your computer
Claiming you are being sued for fraudulent activities and that they are government officials or police.

and many others..

They will have multiple numbers due to SPOOFING their numbers. Some of the numbers might even be the victims numbers they are stealing. They use india cell phones linked to United States numbers, magic jack, skype, google talk, etc.. to look like they are in the United States. Even though they got our information sold to them and hacked from the United States, the callers themselves are not part of the US. This is why they are hard to trace and our laws do not pertain to them.

The same thing has happened to me a few times.  It is kind of spooky.  I wonder what the intention is?

I am not aware of who this is.  They are harassing!

Victoria Peters, insurance rate specialist, has called me twice now.  First time I told her I had a DUI and FR-44 Insurance, she hung up on me.  12 hours later (next morning) she called me again with this same number.  I told her she called me yesterday, and she hung up on me when I told her I had a DUI.  I asked her to take me off her list, and she started saying "hello?  are you there?" like she couldn't hear me, but she never talked over me when I started talking to her.... she would wait until I was finished saying what I had to say, then say "hello" again.

So I got a call from the # 803-746-7837 and did a search on this website to find out who it was and why they would be calling Me.  I read all of your posts and Red Flags went up all over the place.  I was curious, so for myself I called the # back.  A lady with a very thick indian accent answered the phone and told me she was with National Insurance and she was doing a public service and wanted to ask me a few questions.  So for the fun of it I agreed to start the "documentation" process. After reading the posts of course I was not about to give her any of my real information, She asked me 1st of all what kind of car I drove, make, model, year.  2nd of all she asked me if it was registered. Then she started asking me if it was equipped with Any kind of security system. Finally the last question I allowed was "Where do you park your car?  Is it outside in the driveway, in a garage or on the street?  Now in all the years that I have been working with insurance companies I have Never been asked that question and at that point it sounded to fishy and I told her it didnt sound right and hung up.  Do be careful if you call that # because it will register the number you are callin from.  Needless to say she called me right back.  I didn't answer of course.  Fishy!!!!!

These people call me all the freakin time while im at work and asleep and i have already put this number on a "blocked" list once before and apparently that doesnt mean s***. How many calls do i have to recieve before i can call the police to report this as harrasment?

receive 3 to 4 calls a day but have never answered it. 803 is a South Carolina area code. we don't know anyone who stays there

They call me several times a day.  Not once or twice but as many as a dozen times. I hope the tip on the call blocker for smart phones works.

Anyway, I answer and they say nothing.  Nothing at all.

I have called them back once only to have them hang up on me when I ask them who they are.

i got the same problem with the same # calling me. got a friend that works for a phone company here in town that traced the call and guess what????????? the call is made from INDIA routed thru an out source company in s.c.... so he set me up with a system that recognise the # and blocks it and calls it back as much times as the switch board calls my #.

I haven't answered their calls, but I have received at least one call from them for the past 3 days now, always at weird times.

Before I got a smartphone and could block numbers, I got so tired of the continuous calls that I went and bought an airhorn.  I would answer the calls, push whatever buttons I had to in order to get to a live person, and then as soon as the scammer would begin to talk, I would blast 'em with the airhorn.  Didn't take too long before they weren't calling me anymore.

Best way is to block the calls, but if you can't do that, try making it extremely unpleasant for the scammer on the other end.

You can use a call blocking app if you have a smart phone.  I use Call Filter, which is a free app in the Android marketplace, and I am able to block any calls I don't wish to receive.  I just get a notification that I had a missed call.  It has given me much peace of mind not to listen to these and other scam calls ring.

Everyday I get a telephone call from this number or another number. If I don't know the number I don't answer I feel if it is important they will leave a message. Getting another call right now. I can't answer the phone and waste my minutes. What can I do to stop the constant calling?

I got in a long argument with the bi*** on the phone after they called me about ten times. told her I was on the do not call list and hung up. she called me back five minutes later and started yelling at me telling me I was not on the do not call list and would continue calling me.....I won't write what I said to her......and I too am getting a south carolina area code. I say lets get out the torches and pitchforks and find these jack***es.
