I have a Capitol One account. When I called this number back, they wouldn't say who it was. They call 4-6 times a day, never leave a message.

So how about calling at 810AM? Not good. Calling to solicit sales without permission is bs...so now we can;t answer our phones or at the very least must be prepared to fend off yet another intruder bent on coercing us.
Perhaps these companies should just enjoy the profits they already get and stop spending so much of the profits trying to force more sales.

Really really  annoying. Idiot calls and leaves the same recorded vm. I have it blocked and on a spam list. Now I want blood. Also previously was calling me from a Florida number as well: 8132741837.

I have a capital one credit card but I shouldn't be getting harrassing calls since i always pay the minimum on time. Thank God for the built in call blocking feature for iOS 7.

I never answered the calls from this number but I am glad I didnt. Last time I checked their were no call centers in virginia. I send a text to the number and found out it was a  landline

I keep getting calls from (804) 217-7156, it's Capital One, some Linda, I had a car payment with them, my car its paid off for over a year, and I have the title for it, but I don't have a credit card with them, They keep saying I do, but when I give them my information they can't find me at all. But they keep calling me, I'm a Verizon wireless customer, I call  customer service and toll them if they can block a number and I was told yes they could, so the block number I don't want to keep calling me, I also have a Note II and I downloaded from Play Store a NQ Call Blocker, it works perfect and it free.

hi. I have been having the same issues as many of you guys on here.. Recently, I got a new phone ( switched from iphone to droid), and have found an app called Blacklist+. It's completely free, as I dont use credit cards or debit cards with anything. You can set a schedule up on when you can block calls and such, and add them to a list... So far best thing ever for me! It will show an icon when someone on your blacklist calls, but otherwise calls get diverted to voicemail.

Just a tidbit in case  any of you wanted to use the app. Cap 1 calls me 3 times a day. It's very frustrating, and they just recently called me ( 8:17p EST). I thought calling after 8p is illegal?

It is Capital One.  I fell behind on my payments do to some personal issues.  Was able to make a partial payment, called them and told them would pay them the rest before my next due date.  They said okay and would stop calling me.  A week later Linda started calling me.  I admit I'm behind, but I would love it when they say they would stop calling me, they would actually do it.

I don't have a balance with Capital One... So, what next?

Yup, Linda is certainly a pain in the a**-etts!!!! Mr. Number works wonders too, it hangs up on the first ring!!!! It's also FREE and handy ap. :-)

Pick up phone....wait.....someone WILL come.....let her have it.  Called 8:00am Mothers Day and when she came on, asked for some one by name.  I let her have it full force such she started to get mad.  Hasn't called since.

Been ignoring calls from linda for months, figured it was a phishing scam. Low and behold I opened up old mail that had been piling up and I had a credit card through capital one I never signed up for! Sony seems to have switched their playstation credit card from chase to capital one at some point, and I had a new card which I never activated, with charges I never put on it. Called capital one fraud department, cleared it up and closed the card out.

Oh and PS....Youmail also has a neat feature where you can add friends to specific voicemail greetings, so you can personalize it for specific people if you wish. Or you can give them voicemail greetings that say your number is disconnected, etc etc. Its really a handy little app once you get it set up. (and its free)

I get a ton of creditor calls due to being in an accident and being unable to work, and pending a disability claim. I put an app on my phone called Youmail, and whenever I get a call that is not programmed as someone I know in my phone, I do not answer. I then look up the number, and usually find out its a creditor. Then I have created a contact in my phone called Do Not Answer, and add that number to that contact. Youmail allows you to take any contact in your phone and put them on a blocked(or ditched) list. The caller would still be able to get your voicemail, but these jerks usually don't leave messages. Youmail then can notify you via the app or email or text (or not at all if you prefer) that you received a ditched call. But your phone NEVER rings, once that number is added to the ditched list.

March. 22.2013. 10:30am. I just received a call from this number from LINDA. Same as old messages here, she says with CAPITAL ONE, and wants me call back at 866-953-7906. By the way, I do not have an account with capital one.

I keep getting calls from this number. I have no idea who they are and there is no one on the line when I answer it. Others say it is a scam call trying to get your credit card number.

They keep calling from different numbers/states but is the same person I answer then hangup in one movement no conversation. I gather there must be some loop hole in the Do Not Call List if its from a vendor you deal with which sucks. Capitol One needs to STOP this crap.

"LINDA" KEEPS CALLING MUTLIPLE TIMES A DAY. HOW CAN I GET IT TO STOP??? THIS IS BECOMING A VERY ANNOYING CALL......WHEN  I CALL THE NUMBER BACK IT SAYS IT CAPITAL ONE, BUT ITS AUTO SYSTEM IS ASKING FOR A CARD NUMBER.... WHAT CAN I DO TO STOP THIS, IT ALSO WANTS ME TO APPLY FOR A NEW CARD NUMBER.

I have two Capital One credit Cards and an auto loan, but as soon as my tax refund comes in the two credit cards will paid off and riped up.
