This number called me a few times. I finally picked up and the woman said her name was Susan and I had registered for a Caribbean Cruise.  I said... okay, can you send me an e-mail with this information?  She said she can but she will give me the details during our convo too. Told her I don't remember entering anything and she said it looks like it had to do with a walmart card or something.. which I don't have. So I lied and said I was at work and to call me later. She said this phone call is a one time call, I said ok, thank you.. and hung up.  Such a scam..

Bogus "free" cruise offer. They will ask you to pay $118 of port fees with your credit card, then ask you for your credit card number. They said you have to pay right away while on the phone with them. Total scam.

They told me I was the "lucky winner of a FREE Carnival Cruise", so get a pen and paper so he can tell me the exciting details.  I told him I wasn't interested and he left me alone (for now, at least)

I was called and told that I had won a free cruise. The only thing that I would have to pay are the port fees. $59 per person. I thought this was a great deal. I have won vacations before and done the time share so I figured I will go for it. So I asked for an email to confirm.  I was given an email I tried to log in and it kept telling me it was invalid. I told her that I was not comfortable giving my credit card over the phone. She then went into how it was free and how could I not want it and what else can she do to prove me that it was ok. She then gave me a website to go to.  So I went to the website. All that was on the page was a picture of a Ship and the deck layout. No company name, no phone number, no contact information. I then again said I am still not comfortable giving my credit card. She then transferred me to her manager. The manager came on and gave me another website. Again just a picture of a ship and a cover of a magazine saying how it was the best cruise and how it has been rated the best cruise for the last 10 years in a row. She then began to get frustrated because I would not give her my credit card and did not want to commit to paying for it. I told her that I would have to look into it more. She then told me well anyone can write anything they want online but that doesn't make it true. I told her that I believe most of what I read on the internet. When someone says its a scam it is more then likely a scam and I don't have to give the person that I am reading about my credit card number. I was then hung up on.

I jsut got a call from them.  The only way to stop these people from calling is to register your phone with the National Do Not call list and then anytime someone that calls report them.

I had a phone call at my house today from Lisa, with employee id #36829, saying that I and my husband entered to win a cruise.  I promptly told her no we did not enter any such sweepstakes.  She gave me back my husband's email address, so I gave her a second of my time.  Never heard of the "Carribean Cruise Line", and she told me that we were being comped a trip for two to the Bahamas.  This struck me as odd considering that a company would be willing to give away a trip for two to the Bahamas to two people that have never traveled with them before.  Then the call got even worse, she told me she needed an answer right then, and that it was a one phone call deal only.  I explained to her that I don't make vacation plans without first talking to my husband, and she said we wouldn't have that kind of time.  I then told her I wanted to know what kind of company will give someone a gift, only on the one consideration that they have to redeem it right that second.  Lisa then tried to tell me that I could look at the internet and the website would speak for itself.  By this point of the conversation, red flags were everywhere.  I went off on Lisa telling her that for starters I don't believe everything I see on the internet, and for that matter I guess if she thinks everything on there is true, she must also think I would believe the Enquirer and other such magazines.  She started getting verbally angry and yelling at me telling me that she doesn't work for a scam-company, and more of the such.  I ended the call by simply hanging up on her.

Prank Call
So someone named James must have given my mom's cell phone number somewhere and she's been getting a lot of random calls today.  Two left voicemails mentioning the name James.  She wasn't answering any of them so I answered this one in particular to see who or what is going on.  They asked for a James and I said there's no one here but she went on telling me that this phone number qualifies me for a free trip somewhere.  I told her i wasn't interested and asked how she got this number, which she wouldn't give me a straight answer for.  Then she went back on to how I get this trip free and I just pay so much for some kind of charge, so I first asked for her supervisor and she was acting really dumb and saying things like "oh but she wouldn't like that" or "she's busy", then she starts talking about this free trip again.  I asked her for her name and she said "Denise".  I was like "What's your last name?" and she said "Smith".  I told her straight out, "What a phony last name". I then thought I would waste her time as well. I told her okay, I'll give you my credit card info. So then she starts going on about the trip and asks for the card's expiration date. I said "june 2003" and she's all "Oh, I can't take that card." I was like (dramatic)"really, why?" and she's all "it's expired.", So playing stupid(as she was acting very stupid and by the way, she still kept calling me james lol), I said "since when?" and she goes "since 2003".  I was like.. is she for real? So I kept playing along and she asks for another card so i randomly through out an expiration date that WASN'T expired this time.  She asks for the card number, I gave her the most bogus number(I didn't want to randomly use someone's real number by coincidence), and she enters it into the computer as if it sounded real.  then she asks for the ccv number on the back of the card and i tell her "123".  She asks for my name and i was all "James Jameston".  So then she's all surprised and says "oh, it's not James _ _ _ _ _ _ _?" I didn't really hear the last name, but I just went along with it and said, "Okay, use that one.", Sounding as obvious as I could that that wasn't my name.  SHE ACTUALLY DID enter it! and then she goes, "I'm sorry that card didn't go through." I was like "I want to talk to your supervisor. I can wait if she's busy" and she goes "Have a nice day"(as I was still talking) then she hangs up. I've never called anyone stupid before, but this woman/girl/robot/obviously fraudulant worker was the dumbest person I've ever talked to. It was fun playing with her stupid brain. lol

They just called me and I got really excited for a second. It sounded legit. A guy named John Halloway, said the call was monitared and recorded, I had 18 months to decide when I wanted my cruise, and it was for 2 people. I asked if it was a joke and he says, "Oh no! Have you ever been on a cruise? You're gonna have the time of your life!" and then he says asked what kind of credit card I use and I was like crap.
