I got the exact text about an hour ago, except mine was from 949-287-9082. I'm really glad that I didn't respond..I had a feeling it was some sort of spam.

Me too! from (949) 287-9083 and (949) 287-9082 back-to-back. Exactly the same text as you described.
A couple of people on the other discussion board at--- http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-323-202-0978/2 --- have said, (and it makes sense) that they are fishing for active cell phone numbers to sell as good locations to send spam text messages to--i.e., by responding, you let them know that your phone is an active cell phone number, and not a landline or fax machine. Be careful.

Not sure what this is....anybody got any ideas?
