Same thing - voicemail message left to call John Gerra(?) at 804 272 2443 from Sagepoint - his tone made me think I should know who he is -- like we were old buddies.

I got a message on my work number from someone claiming they were Rob Gydner from Sage Point 804-272-2443 but caller ID has 804-423-1816. I've never heard of this company. The guy actually had my name all wrong, not even close as if his info was wrong because its impossible to misspell or mispronounce my name.

Got a call from Robert Guider, Sagepoint. He left a message, I won't call back. Already have a planner with ML.

Responding to JMAE....what the heck are your doing on this site??? This is to help the victims of cold calls to avoid them. Nice try though.

I got a call at my office from a chirpy John Gara asking me to call him back at 804-272-2443 as soon as possible. He left no indication about the nature of the call. I won't waste my time with this Loser.
Rob 2013-09-08 13:47:27 Unknown
You people are terrible. It really bothers you that much to be called? And you think the ones doing the calling are the miserable ones...

got a message from Cody Johnson at Sagepoint asking for a call back
WillMase 2013-08-24 17:34:44 Unknown
Haha! This is not a scam! They are an investment firm just trying to make a living.
Jmae 2013-08-24 17:33:05 Unknown
Cold calling actually does work, there are very successful guys in that office but only because they still do things the old school way. Work 8am-9pm, make house calls and cold call to build their client base, but not everybody can hang with it. But definitely not scammers, been a client for several years, glad to see a positive note about them. Built a good relationship with my advisor Ryan.

Shane called and left a message, "I'd appreciate a call back, it's Shane from Sagepoint" but no clue and was very pushy sounding!

Sean White is a scam artist. Do not call these people back. It is a scam.

Just got a message from a David Lloyd- Asked me to call him back-
sb 2013-02-12 13:44:22 Unknown
I got the same call today from Jeff Conley, when I asked him what it was in reference to he said a personal matter and thought the owner might be interested in what he would have to say...yea ok. When are these people going to realize we have the power of the internet on our side and are going to do research to find out who they are? Maybe they should look themselves up and see what people have to say

Seems you can not spell the word "seem".

A message from Jeff Conley at SagePoint was left on my voicemail on 1/29/13 at 1:41 pm. He said he would appreciate a call back.

I also just got a voicemail from Kyle Gibbons, making it sound like I knew him and really needed to call back. Thanks to this post, I won't!

Kyle at it again - calling entire location (closing soon). Great way to drum up business in the new year. "No thanks" doesn't seam to work with this kid. Hope no one is falling for this...

Kyle has been busy - just got back from biz trip and was going through voicemails and emails, and glad to see an email from out internal security office about his messages. He has apparently left a VM for almost all 1100 employees in our norfolk office. Guess news of a closure is like blood in the water for sagepoint.

I too received a call from Kyle Gibbons from Sagepoint wanting me to call him back at this number. Thanks for the heads up.
losingmyjob 2012-12-10 13:42:53 Unknown
I received a call from someone named Kyle Gibbons from Sage Point or Stage Point who left 804-272-2443 as a call back number.
Shanda 2012-12-05 16:45:50 Unknown
Add Kyle Gibbons to the list. When I called him back and asked him to remove me from his distribution list, he hung up on me. Certainly seems like a scammer!!!!!!

Spoke with a "Kyle" recently. He had left a *urgent* voicemail asking me to get in touch with him as soon as possible. When I was able to return the call he have me the typical pitch about working with "guys on their retirement", although annoyed by the cold call, I politely told him I was not interested and asked to be removed from the firm list. He became a mix between hostile and defensive, suggesting that "we take a step back and think about our options" - I again reminded him that I am not interested. His final comment was very clearly a pressure tactic, he aggressively demanded that I ask myself if I thought that successfull happy people spent as much time saying no to good opportunities as I did. I hung up, but as one of the above posters mentioned, this is clearly a scam/boiler room.

A "Mike Barrow" from Sage Point called my office, indicating to the person who answered that he and I knew each other, and that we had important business to discuss. The employee tracked me down in an airport about to catch a plane. I called "Mike" and he tried to sell me a financial portfolio package. I've never heard of him.
What an offensive waste of time!
Don't patronize Sage Point or AIG, their parent enterprise. (Great place to invest, wouldn't you think? Not!)

They are still at it. Called the Operating Room at MCV on 9/8/2012.
Thanks to this forum, I will not call back.

Obnoxious sounding guy left a bumbling message for me to call him (he was a mumbler so I didn't make out the name). Sage point. Can't wait for them to go out of business.
Bruce Bartek 2012-08-08 18:39:41 Unknown
