wow... I just got a note in the mail while I was traveling for business... saying that I owed them one payment for what ever reason... got a notice from my bank stating that my auto drafts were cancelled.  My car not and my rent were not paid...  the tow truck driver just showed up and took my car... my car note is not due until the 26th of the month.  I tried to call yesterday (Friday) and the hours suck!  Tried to call this morning letting them know I would make the payment over the phone ...  no one is there... tried to make a payment of the automated payment program and it said not payments can be made at this time....   how the hell am I supposed to make a car payment if no one is there to accept the payment???  

So here I am no car, and the payments but no one at the bank is able to accept my money!!!  the car note is 25 days past due!

They called my two numbers 4 times back to back to back.  When I called back, it was Suntrust Mortgage, just a reminder on day 4 of the month that my mortgage is due.  Very thankful-in sarcastic tone!

CALLER ID SAID VIRGINIA but it was Suntrust Mortgage calling at 8:40 am left an automated message asking to call them at 866-696-9063 and enter a message code. I don't have a mortgage with Suntrust or even any accounts with them. I have never heard of suntrust until now. This could be a sales call to switch your mortgage to them but after reading these posts I blocked them.

I got 2 robo calls today to my cell purportedly from SunTrust asking me for all kinds of info, like my billing zip code, under the guise of SunTrust's Privacy policies.  IMNO, SunTrust got hacked!  No calls like this have been generated from SunTrust and it's been reported to the abuse team.  Whatever you do, don't give out info and don't make any payments!!!

The caller is Suntrust Mortgage.

Most likely it is a routing hop generated from a cell phone routing though  ip phone using VoIP system such as GoogleTalk, Vonage or Skype. The user of the service does  not know or even see this number.

Suntrust repossessed my car after being 45 days late yesterday!  I don't know what I'm going to do.  It's unfortunate that today is Sunday and of course there is no one to talk to about it now.  I've answered collection calls and let them know my situation (husband started new job, fell behind on a few things during the transitioning period, got a $1300 light bill due to a faulty heater, etc.)  In all honesty, they didn't accept my arrangement to catch up on one payment by the end of the month, but in no way did they lead me to believe my car would be repossessed anytime soon.  I now know that they do not have to give warning, but at the same time, I think the decent thing to do would be to at least start threatening me.  I had a false sense of security that I could catch up my payments as soon as I could.  I am all out of sorts right now.  That was really messed up Suntrust.  Now I only pray that they allow me to redeem my loan.

So I called the police to make sure it wasn't stolen, because I was in no way thinking that Suntrust would repossess my car with no warning.  The switchboard operator confirmed it was repo'd.  She gave me the number to the lot, 804-319-1962.  When I called, the automated system prompted me to leave a message for 'repoincoming'.  I think that's what it said.  Anyway, the number is Suntrust.

I have now gotten one phone call from 804-319-1962 and SIX calls from Sun Trust's Collection/Auto number 800-828-7959.  I have been told FOUR times they will take my UNLISTED phone number OFF THEIR LIST because the person they are looking for DOES NOT LIVE AT MY NUMBER!!!  The last time I asked the guy if it was Sun Trust Collections and he finally said, "Yes!"  Remember...I have NO ACCOUNTS or any other association with Sun Trust and believe me, I will NEVER have anything to do with them thanks to this!  THEN THEY CALL ME AGAIN!  I am going to find out how to sue them for harassment because I have NOTHING to do with Sun Trust!!!  Never did and never will but I am sick and tired of getting harassed by them!!!  They have NO RIGHT to do this to me!!!  Tomorrow I am calling Sun Trust and asking to speak to the President or CEO or whoever the top dog is and ask HIM or HER how they would like being harassed by their company looking for someone who doesn't exist at THEIR HOME at THEIR UNLISTED NUMBER!!!  It's pretty bad that there are websites set up because SUN TRUST harasses SO MANY PEOPLE with their NUISANCE calls!!!  They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this!  I'm going to also find out to whom I should report them for this SHODDY BEHAVIOR!

Seriously - Suntrust has gotten on my last nerve.  They have "lost" my paperwork for my house and said I have to re-do it.  I have been working 3 months on a short sale and 3 months on a deed in leiu of a foreclosure.  They said my state requires them to foreclose after 5 payments are missed.  Mind you - I had to move because my house is unhabitable!    They didn't send me a certified letter - didnt have the sheriff come to my door - I received NO letters from them and I called weekly to check status on my paperwork there.  Within a week all of a sudden it went from "its in process to...we lost it"  and then my credit gets hit.  SO totally against the law..... these people!  UGH!!!!!  They have called me like 5 times just today and said that I need to pay over the phone - I just said - "you can not be serious" and hung up.  They can call me five times because they want my money but when I ask for assistance - they lost my paperwork all of a sudden.   It's in my attorney's hands now.

Got a call from this number. They offer a 15 grace period and call in 6 days. Never have a been past the grace period. They are a pain (suntrust)

I didn't answer, but saw Suntrust. I have a car loan with them and they offer a grace period, so I use it. I've never had a late payment, yet I get this hassel call every month wanting to know when I'm going to make a payment. I've quit answering when I don't recognize the number.

I'm assuming it's Suntrust calling for payment on auto loan.  Like other posts have stated, they give you a 15 day grace period but start calling within 5-6 days of due date.  I will NEVER apply for a loan with Suntrust again!!!

I have a car loan with Suntrust, and like the others I have 15 days grace period, and I use it, because of the way I get paid. I've NEVER been late with a payment. They seem to call every month. I could see it if my payment is late. This is so aggravating !!!! I just don't answer when a name doesn't show on the I.D.

When ever this number calls it says it is trying to connect someone with me and then says it was unsuccessful.  I do have a Suntrust car loan though and this is the first time that I've used my grace period and I have never made a late payment.

Suntrust is one horrible company. I got a car loan through them about 2 years ago. Never skipped a payment, yet they call us every month starting on the 1st of the month, till they get their payment within a few days. The payment is not due till the 15th, but it's nonstop calling. About 4 times a day. What's wrong with the people in this company? Luckily we can block their number, but even those 2 rings that we have to hear, drive us nuts!

OMG they do the same thing to me! They annoy the crap out of me. They don't even give the check time to reach them before they are harassing you!

About 2-3 calls a day for the last 2 weeks.  Between this # and some other suntrust #.  Called suntrust back and tried to figure out what it was about, but really didn't get anywhere.  I don't have a suntrust account at all, figured it was some ploy to get me to open an account.  Answered the 804# that called once and no one was there.  I'm afraid this is a number like you read about that magically charges you lots of money for simply answering the phone.  I hope not, but this is ridiculous!

I got a call from this number today and when I answered no one was there. My daughter went directly to Suntrust and paid the car payment. It isn't past due till the 10th of each month so I thought them calling it must have been important but no one answered when I called the number back and then someone breaks in and tells me to clear the line that they have a call from this number. Not a very good business practice or form of communication that the company is using to get in touch with their customers. So they call back again and again no one is there. It is so CRAZY...Now I am calling 1-800-SUNTRUST and see if they can give me any reason for this craziness.

I just got a new Cordless Phone from Panasonic.  It has a feature that allows you to block up to 30 unwanted phone numbers.  It rings once and hangs up on the caller.  I love it!  It's the best feature anyone ever came out with.  Bless Panasonic!

calls from Suntrust asking for social, if I drive a certain vehicle that I don't drive, etc.

Try forwarding their calls to a disconnected telephone number or disconnected cell phone number.  Or try forwarding their telephone number back to their telephone number, everytime they call they will not get your number. They are not smart enough to use different numbers but the same one. Worked for me.

TIME FOR YOU TO MAKE A STAND!!!! Seems like Suntrust makes it a common business practice to call parents whatever the cost. REPORT THIS TO YOUR LOCAL BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!!! YOU CAN make a difference. They are trying to sell out to a larger bank. They can't do that if YOU MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!!! This is un-professional and un-ACCEPTABLE behavior!!! Only YOU can stop them by one simple phone call to your better business bureau!!!

i work for a car finance company now and have worked for a  mortgage collection agency before so let me tell you how mailed pymts work. Collection agencies pay for a service called a "lockbox", a generic PO Box that all their pymts go to. The person who signs for "certified letters" is not the person that processes the pymts. They are just the person that picks it up and delivers it to the processing center. Either way, if you mail your payment by "snail mail" It can take up to 10 days for the pymt to post to your account. The people calling you don't know if a pymt is received until the processor applies it to the account. Just a heads up...don't kill the messenger :)
