I called this number back and automatically dialed into a recording which apologized for the call and said that I would be taken off their list.

Recorded message to have me update my merchant account terminal.

They called and all there was was quiet

Called number and they automatically put me on their Do Not Call list.

Merchant Link again. This time they want me to upgradr my Credit Card terminal (wich i don't have) I have asked to be taken off their list for 2 years now. I even talked to one guy and told him I have no needs. he jsut laughed and knew how redicules the telemarketing database is. But he didnt care and said I'll take you off the list. 2 days later they are calling again

Called my business phone twice with 1 hour.  I answer all calls to this busy business and I don't have time to listen to the whole thing and get removed from their list.  I would be afraid to push anything just in case it's a scam.  I think they call back if you just hang up on them but I don't have time to waste on this nonsense.

Called our business 03-04-09 with a recorded message to tell us that we have to update our terminal for our Merchant account to prevent penalties and fines.

3rd call within 2 hours to my business.

I love this site, I am a small business, I spend most of my day fielding calls that I don't want.  I immediately look the number up, read the post and don't call back if it doesn't pertain to my business.

Got a call on my cell phone. did not answer it. they left no voice mail as it probably was a computer call. I called back and got a recording that said to remove yourself from their call list, press 1, which I did.
We'll see if that works.

Their message once recorded on my voicemail and it said to press 2, I believe, if you don't want them to call anymore.  I haven't had the chance to answer again when they have called (but they HAVE called)

I just rec'd fax from this number, I guess...a junk fax came in from "Alternative investment strategies Alert!"  and that's the last number I see - shows up only as "out of area" though, on my phone.

No message on answering machine, except for the caller's #.

We got a call from this number and when our office manager picked up it was a recording and she immediately hung up on them.

They call CONSTANTLY with that recording wishing to talk to you about your credit cards!!! Do something people - complain about these calls!! The more complaints the better and they won't bother you anymore.  Usually, the don't bother to remove your phone number either and you need to FILE the complaint with the FTC, like I am doing now!!! I can't stand stuff like this and ever since I started filing complaints on all these unknown numbers, my phone rings most of the time with legit callers on the other end - PEOPLE I WANT TO TALK TO.

Called regarding mortgage related information.  I did not allow the message to finish.
