They keep calling me, I have a jr. in high school, assuming its re: him, but there is always dead air as described by others. We have to do something about this business.

i have been haveing the same issues with this number calling 3-5 times a day. when you call it back you have to listen to a sales pitch about the product "word smart" befor you get the opportunity to put you number on the do not call list. HOWEVER 20 minuts after i put my number on the do not call list they called back again. sooo i found their website, and got this information
1-800-958-WORD(9673)
1-800-641-WORD
1-800-858-WORD option 2
toll free numbers cost them when ever they are dialed. I encourage everyone to call them and leave a long message every time they call you or even 2 to 1 in return

I HAVE BEEN GETTING THESE SAME PHONE CALLS AND LEARNED TODAY THEY GET OUR PHONE NUMBERS FROM THE SCHOOLS. THE SCHOOLS ARE GIVING OUT OUR HOME PHONE NUMBERS.

With your phone line connected to a modem on your computer you can block such numbers easily.

I am on the do-not-call list, but am getting multiple calls from this number. However, no one is there when I pick up. Calling them back, I have asked to be taken off of their list, but the calls persist.

I know that one facet of this company is selling your number to other company's. They call you, make sure it's you, hang up and then they've verified that you're contactable. Instead, when they call asking for someone, say it's the wrong number or convince them that the number they've called you on isn't a viable contact number. (say it's a company phone).

I'm from TX and I get these calls all the time from 404-891-5531 (WS Learning Center). They've called many times, but I never answered...until today. They asked to speak to my mom, and when I said she wasn't around the man said "okie dokie" and hung up. WTF?! I don't even know why they're calling me!

Thank you, thank you for this idea. I've had digital phone service forever, but have been pulling my hair out trying to find ways to combat these telemarketing morons. I knew there was an advantage to this service somewhere and can't believe I never thought of it before - especially since I'm big into "techno"! It's so easy to set up in preferences that anyone with this capability would be crazy not to use it.

My family and I have been getting 1-3 phonecalls a day for the past two months trying to get us to answer. I'm 16 and this must stop; they want information about me, my school, my grade, age, and it is very bad. Mutiple phone calls have called here; this being one along with two or three others. I don't understand why they continue, but we are getting very tired of it. I hope someone gets in contact with somone to stop this!

I used collegeboard, fastweb and zinch, but the call only first came after I signed up with collegeboard.

Right on! Let's all do our best to put these jerks out of business. We received three calls from WS Learning Center today.
So I set up call forwarding. Now when they call me, their 800 number rings instead of my phone!
Let's see how "smart" their software is!

I posted on another page but this seems to be all over. I live in Texas and we get a call with the same name on the caller ID, WS LEARNING CTR. but it's a different number. 404-891-5531
sistah43 2011-07-01 02:48:47 Unknown
Us too. Do you live in Santa Monica/Venice/Westside region?
school principal 2011-06-23 01:54:57 Unknown
I am high school principal. I announced in school that no body should ever buy their product. That is scam.

WS Learning Ctr, 404-891-5531 keeps calling. They call 4-8 x's a day. I want this to stop!!!!

Most of the posts seem to be from kids who are the high school/college age and are targeted that way. Why oh why are they calling ME!! My kids are 26 and 30 both LONG out of college. It amazes me that this firm goes through such lengths when their product seems to apply to a very specific demographic, kids getting ready for college. Call me in about 20 years (maybe) when my grandchildren (of which I currently have none) are about ready for college!!!

3 TO 5 CALLS A DAY FROM THIS NUMBER. THEY SAY NOTHING. HOW DO I STOP THEM?
WILLIAM COOPER 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
NUMEROUS CALLS
Annoyed Beyondbelief 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Slam them at the BBB. That's all I can say. I just get a dead line, even if I call the number back.
jjleb 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
They've been calling every day for the past couple weeks - I just read our phone manual and have utilized its "block phone number" feature!
NA 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Keep getting calls from it. Happens one or twice a day. Every now and then it doesn't happen at all. I have a feeling it's a spam service, a few people signed me up for spam services and I found out a few days ago. Stop calling me.
npj 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Stop calling
Glenda Dezarn 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Do not call my number any more. I want on your "do not call" list.
bdsedw 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
They keep calling here but never leave a message. When I answer the phone, there is dead air. Tonight I got another call but the number was 786-358-5603 instead of 804-412-8246 but my caller ID still said WS Learning Center.
Chenoa 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
I recieved this call. They didn't leave a msg. It's a shame that you use to be safe with cell phones. Guess times have changed unfortunitly. Anyway, I didn't answer it because I don't answer if I don't know the number.
Chenoa 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
Please do, I just got one. Never bothered to leave a msg. I won't answer if I don't know who it is.
Corrie 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
They just called for the third time today and I finally got a human being. They wouldn't take a message when I told them who they were looking for wasn't home and told me that "they'd be calling back". Way to sound like a stalker! It's getting old fast.
Busy Mom 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
They have called our home phone and filled the answering machine with hangups -- then when we do answer, no one is there. We have asked more than once to be taken off the calling list via their automated system and we are also on the "do not call registry." But more calls even today. I called WS Leaning Center tonight and wouldn't hang up until I talked to a supervisor... it took a lot of arguing, but she finally gave me her supervisor. He said he would take me off the calling list immediately. In case you want to talk with him, his name is NAZ and he can be reached at 1-800-858-9673, ext. 300. I hope that puts an end to the phone calls.
pc 2011-06-06 20:59:14 Unknown
they call and hang up.if you call back, they want you to answer question---its a way around the do not call laws! You called them!!! BS!
