just a ringing call.

Got a call from this number looking for my x wife. I have been divorced for 15 years. I guess these scumbags lookup x-wives and x-husbands and call them. I am sure very few people return these calls. They can call all they want and waist there time because I will not be answering there calls.

Received a call from this number on my cell phone; caller left her name and asked for me to call her back. Did not identify her company or state her business. Did not return the call. What collection agency are they?

They are a collection agency in Richmond, VA...legit

I recieved a call from this number (1-804-474-0479) and a man referred to himself as "Mr. Hall" and told me to call them back.  Within the message he does not give any information as to who he represents, nor does he say what this call is concerning.  I was learly about calling him back, so I checked the number on this site and after reading the other posts I decided to not return the call.  Due to the large number of fraud I would suggest any others that got a message left on voicemail or machine to do the same.  I'm sure if it was legit, they would have at least said the name of the company that they represent.

Not sure if this is a collection agency or a scam!  A word to the wise -- I don't know how many people were scammed by people posing as collection agencies, and then they got no recognition on their credit report for settling the debt WITH THAT AGENCY INSTEAD OF THE ORIGINAL CREDITOR.  These people could have gotten anyone's name off of a credit report or list -- how do you know they're legitimate?!?  Pay the ORIGINAL creditor ONLY!  Then they can decide whether they want to share a portion of that with the so-called "collection agency."  And at least they'll have a record that you paid the debt.  Do NOT deal with companies you can't verify as legitimate!
