ON YOUR PHONE....AND IF YOU WANT, INSTEAD OF A VOICE-MAIL SYSTEM THRU THE HEAD-SET OF THE PHONE, GET AN "OLD-FASHIONED" ANSWERING MACHINE....WITH THE TWO COMBINED, IF YOU SEE SOMEONE IS CALLING AND DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE NAME OR NUMBER, THEN LET THE ANSWERING MACHINE PICK-UP....IF YOU ARE WAITING FOR AN APPT. FROM A NEW DOCTOR AND YOU DON'T KNOW THAT DOCTOR'S PHONE NUMBER, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR THE MESSAGE, IF THEY CHOOSE TO LEAVE ONE....I HAVE FOUND THRU MY MANY YEARS OF HAVING TELEPHONE ANSWERING DEVICES, THAT IF A CALLER IS LEGIT, THEY WILL LEAVE SOME SORT OF MESSAGE...EVEN IT'S LIKE "THIS IS DR. AS FOR FOR WHEN THE PEOPLE FROM THIS NUMBER CALLED MY CELL PHONE, THEY HUNG UP BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO ANSWER; AND THEN I FOUND OUT THAT IT WAS A GIMMICK....SO WHAT I'VE DONE, IS TO ADD THE NUMBER TO MY LIST OF CONTACTS IN MY PHONE AND MARK IT "S.P.A.M."...SO, IF AND / OR WHEN THEY SHOULD CALL AGAIN, I WILL KNOW NOT TO ANSWER BECAUSE MY CALLER I.D. WILL SAY "S.P.A.M."....

i just called this number back and took up their time by having almost unintelligable speech, and conversing with them regarding getting online education...for a long time..before bursting into uncontrollable laughter and hanging up.  I've not, as the initial recording said, requested info on getting a degree on-line.  I've come to the conclusion that the way to fight back at these unsolicited callers may be in being as big of a pain in the rump to them as they are to me..probably not effective times one, but if everyone else would join me, it might be awsome!!!!

all i know is that they call on sundays in the middle of the day. very annoying

I was spammed from msn and yahoo jobs, I have been getting a couple of calls a day from this number al and they never leave a message. My both emails are crowded with spam.

After applying for jobs on Craiglist, I haven't stopped receiving calls from this number. The first time I answered no one answered and just they just hung up on me. They call me twice a day and I just ignore the calls. Also I have been receiving scam calls from 5618537528 and +2565253097.

I missed this call (no message) and tried to call back. The call went through but it never rang. I haven't applied to any online job listings.

Something has to be done about this.  These trade school people are getting our phone numbers under the guise of a real job.  They request a phone number on the first or second screen, and then later you realize there isn't a job at all, they're just trying to get people to get some sort of certification for jobs you can either learn on the job or have been doing for years.  And these schools are so smarmy that their courses can't be transferred to a "real" college.  It's bad enough to be looking for work and getting snarked like this, but when they call my cell phone, it goes against my minutes.

Been getting like 9 calls a day from this number.  Then they hold for a little and then hang up!  Will not leave a message, when I call back - their number will not even ring.

This type of this is EXACTLY what Google Voice is for.  I just clicked on Block and they get an "Out of Service" message for my number.

3 or 4 call to me with no message left . I figure that if the call is legit they will leave a message . I just don't answer unknown numbers on my cell

I've been receiving a lot of 800 number calls since I made the mistake of signing up for Online Savings Club.  This number called me twice today.

I also went on line job hunting.  Posted resume and started getting phone calls and texts almost immediately.  Will also try calling them back.

Interesting!  I've just been letting the answering machine take the call (and any other calls from numbers that I don't recognize) and as a rule, as soon as tne answering machine's message is done, I get "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, . . ." and then a hang up.  I'm IN school!  Why are they calling me?  I don't get it.

I RECEIVED TWO CALLS FROM (805)-204-0174 TODAY (SUNDAY, OCT. 31, 2010) ON MY PRE-PAID NET-10 CELL-PHONE...ONCE IN THE MORNING AND ONCE IN THE EARLY AFTERNOON....EACH TIME, I WAS UNABLE TO ANSWER THE PHONE BEFORE THE RINGING STOPPED (I BELIEVE IT RANG FOUR TIMES IN THE MORNING AND ONLY TWICE IN THE AFTERNOON) AND NO ONE LEFT A MESSAGE; AND I DID NOT CALL IT BACK...MAINLY BECAUSE I DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE NUMBER....SO, I LOOKED THE NUMBER UP ON THE INTERNET (AS YOU CAN WITH ALL PHONE NUMBERS IN THE UNITED STATES) AND THIS IS WHERE I ARRIVED....
