Received calls from that number twice in last two days. This morning someone answered saying his name was Alec then hung up. We also are on do not call list.

I believe that the telephone number 805 2241527 from Santa Barbara which is annoying many people is connected with the telephone number 1800 235 3640 who they claim they are from 8285 Brandairy  suite 150 Largo Clear water Fl., 33777 sent you letters and trying to get your debit or credit card numbers. Today I was talking to that tall free number then I received a call from the 2241527 I did not picket up the speaker, but when I dialed it, I got this message "Sorry the number you are reached is not in service please check the number and dial again. and that tall free number is scam they make you believe that you won 1,100,000.00
I hope police or some authorities get them and get them to pay.

Received call on both my home phone on May 2 and my office phone on May 3.  Unbelievable!

Answered the phone.  Heard whispering on the other end.  Didn't respond to "hello's".

Air duct cleaners this time. Very evasive where they got my number and after asking several times lied 'White Pages' - my number is not listed.
I was able to find out that the number belongs to Sanbarbara,  Address:    Santa Barbara, CA  93101, Phone Type:    Paging / Messaging, Phone Issuing Location:    American Messaging Services LLC,SANTA BARBARA, CA  93101.

Now I have contacted police, does anybody have any ideas how legally approach this issue? I am on 'do not call list' and therefore all sale calles to me are federal crime, which avenue I will pursue. If you have any encounter with these people, let me know.

Some guy called asking about my "units" being updated and looked at. Spoke really fast and couldn't understand half of what he said. Said I don't need my units looked stand hung up.

Scumbag called twice leaving no message.  I tried to call them back and heard no ringing.   It is likely this do***e bag  doesn't want to talk to me.  I keep this old phone number and never answer it to avoid pesky scumbags that violate the do-not-call law and thereby risk their lives and a lawsuit.

This time it's not extortion! Yet, anyway. I think that number may be the same really nasty debt collection agency we ran into some time ago. We don't owe any debts we aren't paying, but a debt collection agency kept calling our number about a year ago, asking for three different people.

To repeat: We weren't any of those people. We had and have paid our debts.

I finally ended up talking to a debt collection agent who said he would keep calling frequently until somebody paid, he didn't care who. I told him that is extortion, no different than threatening to graffiti a business unless the business owner paid protection. I reported the debt collection agency to the state agency supposedly in charge of this. The state agency told me--finally--who it was who was harassing me and my husband. I don't know for sure it is the same people now using the 8052241527 number, but I did get a call a couple of weeks ago--I didn't keep the number--from someone claiming to be from the "Westside Clinic", trying to talk to, again, someone I'd never heard of. The harassing agency from last year used the same tactic.

This time it is just a call, no words from the other end, just blank silence until a very smarmy female voice said "Good-bye".  We will try to put our number on the Do Not Call List, which didn't work well the last time, but if I am going to report this to the same agency again, I need to try the Do Not Call List number again.

Yeah, I just got a suspicious call from 805 224-1527 asking "Is ------ available?"  Naming my husband.  When I said "No" the person hung up.  May be one of those calls saying a debt is owed down the line, now that they think my husband lives at the number.  I'm expecting more calls since I stupidly acknowledged that my husb was around.
