Just received a call from this number. The previous comments seem to indicate Bank of America is behind them. As far as I know, they do not have a presence in Canada - but maybe they are starting one!
I do not answer calls from out-of-area numbers I do not recognize, so I have no idea who was calling.

They called and said I have a credit report coming in the mail, and I stopped her immediately saying I only bank with my wifes bank. She said what about my mortgage and I replied I am renting. She then started to rattle off my address and it was completely wrong. She apologized and said they would take the number off the list. I just wonder how they can say they have a name with an account and have the wrong address but the right phone number. Too fishy for me.

B.of A. has been calling me 2-3 times a day all week of course NO TELEMARKETER KNOWS HOW TO LEAVE A DAMM MESSAGE THE FIRST TIME YOU CALL....I have 1yr old twins my wife and I are trying to get to bed at 8pm, 8:30pm,etc...
The guy started going on also about my credit report being on its way in the mail...I was like I did not order one. He kept going back to how important it is to monitor your credit on a monthly basis,etc...i a new service from the bank that I can cancel within 30 days or get charged monthly...ts not safe to do yourself on line,etc...
NO S**T SHERLOCK He wanted to confirm my address,etc... then asked if he can record me while asking a few questions...I said yes so he can have me on tape saying NO, NO, DO NOT SEND IT,etc...
Thats when I decided to REPEATEDLY SAY " I DO NOT WANT YOU TO SEND ME MY CREDIT REPORT, I CAN GET IT MYSELF AND HAVE IN THE PAST..He asked if I agree or confirm that I want to enroll in the credit monitoring program....I SAID "ABSOLUTELY NO" that was basically when he gave up and mumbled something about thank you for time, etc.

805-309-5551 caled us twice on Mar 11, 2010 and 714 551 5579 called us at 8:07 am on Mar 23rd. No time was anyone on the line. Their Auto-dialer is driving us nuts, since we are trying to contact a real person (who speaks English) at BOA without success. This is interesting since the calls started after we had to file a complaint about BOA, they have problems posting our payments to our account. Thanks to Judy in OK for the web site, I filled out the form and we'll see where that goes. I don't have a lot of confidence they know how to use a web site, since they have problems posting accounts.

thanks to Judy - I called and they said it's all taken care of, however quickly said something about "12 weeks to be fully effective". For anybody who's opted out, has it worked?
| catch22 2011-06-06 20:59:18 Unknown |
they've been calling my number daily, but they have the wrong name. I opted out for the number and my name, but they tell me that I cannot opt out for the unknown name that is attached to my number, so that they will keep calling. BOA is losing customers by allowing this harassment to happen.

Who the hell is the call from as I did *69 to trace the call. No one was on the other end as I answered the call. .....

BOA called me from 805-309-5551 today and some girl started to talk about sending me a credit report. Being all nice I let her finish before I interrupted, but when began to speak up she hung up on me. I guess that means I have a credit report on the way to my house, which I never agreed to. I know the economy's not doing so well, this gives consumers another reason not to buy.

Bank of America does not solicit insurance or any other banking needs on the phone. This is a call from a scam artist. they will ask questions and hope you at some point will say the word yes. It is taped and they get into all your accounts. Just don't answer or don't let them say a word and tell them to not call again. Do not use or say the word yes!! I used to work for B of A so I know!!

Everyone, please read Debi Smith's message below. She is correct, in all likelihood, these calls are placed by scam artists who can put whatever name they want in the caller ID including BOA, Chevy Chase Bank, etc. They are seeking information to steal your identity or access your bank accont or cedit/debit cards. Do not talk to them, real companies leave real messages. Two people that I know, have been victimized. Please don't let this happen to you.

PLEASE IMMEDIATELY STOP CALLING ME. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS. BOA CONTINUES TO ANNOY ME.
THANK YOU.

Ok keep getting this number on ALL LINES of my Sprint PCS Cell phones and Sprint has a solution for those that re getting them via their Sprint Lines.
Log into you Sprint Account: Under "My Sprint Account or My Sprint" look for "My Preferences" if you have just look for "limits and permissions" at the bottom of the page click that then click block voice - then a pop up will come up with all your numbers if you have them on your account and look for "Block only the following phone numbers for inbound and outbound calls" enter the number without dashes and copy to the net number.
Sprint PCS allows you to block up to FIFTY NUMBERS!
Hope that helps!!
