People should stop writing false statement about someone you've not get to know. In the first place i thought the man was fake. I worked for them, i get paid, they are for real. Taja Garner worked for them and later Ran away with 7500 dollar the Company money, they've declared her wanted. People stop blackmailing

You can report it to the IC3--government agency that deals with internet crimes. I just reported him, too, but I had already shredded the check, though the form where I reported it actually asked if I had any physical documents like that, so maybe they would request them if they are looking into it further. Otherwise, I usually write "void" across checks I'm going to throw away, and then I shred them.

I knew it was a fraud right away, but was curious as to who owned that phone number so did a google search. And it lead me to here. And yes, I am sure that this would end up with me either being the man in the middle for such a scam, or getting scammed through overpayment-refund myself.
Be careful everybody.

Ya...
Scammer a-hole.
Not sure how the scam goes either, but it definitely seemed suspicious.
Either way... He got nothing from me but did motivate me to clean up my apartment, so ha!
Think he sends a check, then probably waits for you to deposit the check before telling you his plans have changed. You send him a check, and by the time you figure out his check has bounced, he's got your money.
I dunno... I can't think of any other way this scam would work.

Mr. Frank Ryan, a craigslist scam artist who is apparently from Canada and wants to take over my lease by sending me a check with the first month's rent. I don't even see how he eventually profits off all this; seems like a lot of work. I played along for about a week and finally got bored.
