Called my house phone, near Barrie ontario
805-309-9556. of course didn't answer. found this thread when O googled as well.

Repeated calls to my cell phone, but I think it is just a scam.  Nothing showed on my caller ID and I assumed it was some marketing scam again.  

But I would like to have them stop calling me, it is really annoying.

While i was having lunch and my mobile phone rang, i picked up because it was 805 number which is long distance. So i answered, I say "Hello" and no one responded back, i said "hello" a few times and no response. Then they hung up.

same thing happened to me.

Just got a call from this number.  Registered under 01 Telecomunications in Thousand Oaks California.

Not sure who it is.

Same here. I am in Waterloo, Ontario, and I just got exactly the same thing. Called my cell phone. Anyone know what's up with this? Clearly there is some kind of scanning going on. Maybe a survey company trolling for real numbers? Clearly something systematically going on.

I'm from Guelph, Ontario, and I got a call from this number about 4 hours ago but I was at work so didn't get it. Looked it up and found this. I also tried calling it because I thought it might be my parents, who are on vacation, but all I heard when I called it was music. Weird.

I'm from London, Ontario and I also got a call from this number while I was in the shower. I did not even bother calling back because I don't know anyone with 805 area code.

These guys called my cell yesterday pm, so about 12 hours ago.  Missed the call, apparently no big loss.  I live in Waterloo, Ontario and thank God that I do!

I received one last night I guess.  I checked my phone this morning and it said I had a missed call with this number.  I am in Ontario as well Owen Sound.

Vancouver BC this # called me,never answer #s I don't know.

got the same call from the number, but it said i had won a prize and that I need to hit the #1 key to accept. I obviously thought it was a scam so I didn't follow, but I did call the number back and all I got was music. Anyone have any idea what is going on?

I live in Ontario Canada, and I just got a call from this number on my cell phone. Picked up, bacause it was showing long distance. There was a recorded message saying "Congratulations! Your phone number has been selected for Free Gift. Press 1 now." I pressed "0" to yell at the operator, but it said, "The option you selected is not available. press 1 now."

Looks like some kind of scam or those pesky "free Trip" guys.

Got a call from the same number.. im also in waterloo, ontario.. i was curious enough to call them back and they were offering me a free trip to Cancun.. i should have listened to how ridiculous the offer was going to be but i could hardly stand listening to this idiot on the other end. Funny thing is that last i heard there was an advisory warning not to travel to Cancun due to drug wars (i know this first hand cause i was actually there in february...scary stuff)anways..wonder if they were just planning to take my visa and then charge me once i was forced into cancelling my trip due to saftey regulations... be weary of these A**HOLES!

Reside in Southern Ontario somewhere abouts the GTA.  Had a voicemail that hung up without saying anything from this number.  This is the first time they've called.  Somebody *cough cough* ex roommate *cough* better not begiving away my cell number. Grr.

Just a thought:  Who are your phone service providers?  Telus is my cell.

These idiots just called me cell, however I did not pick up. My phone is registered to Windsor, ON #. I just googled the number and came up with this thread. Sounds like its the scam that calls you, gets you to dial a certain sequence of numbers, so that they can charge your phone number a ton of money. Glad I did not answer:)

just got a call from this number 5 minutes ago on my cell.  provider=Rogers    after saying "hello", I got a voice recording of a guy with an accent.  The recording simply said that "you've won!, press one on your telephone."  my call display showed this number.  I called it back - all I got was a fax machine.    I thought calling from an automated machine was illegal in North America.   This person/company should have thier telephone line disconnected and be charged with fraud.

I've heard that putting your numbers on the "do not call list" actually makes it easier for American companies to find Canadian numbers

Got this # too on my cell which is weird because I hardly ever give my # to anyone other than my close friends/relatives so I just sent a busy signal.  Glad I didn't pick it.  And I'm also from Vancouver, BC with Rogers.

I just got a call from this number and it was a vacation place asking me if i wanted to check my vacations for cancun. Im in Richmond, B.C.

I'm in Saskatchewan and this number showed up on my phone as a missed call.
