As above. My guess is that they are simply rote dialing every number in sequence and sending the same message. That's what a lot of people in the same area code are reporting it at the same time.

You know what really pisses me off? Somebody is providing these scammers with phone service. They know full well it's a scam by the pattern of messages/calls going out, but they turn a blind eye and pocket the money.

Also an 832 w/TMobile. Didn't call it because they didn't proofread their own msg before sending out. What can we do about this? I don't appreciate it at all...especially since we weren't notified of any "hacks."

I'm Tmobile too, and I received  text telling me that action is required with my WellsFargo account.

I got text message asking me requesting me to cal this number to verify my credit card number.  This is a phishing text message according to Wells Fargo. Do not call it.

Have an 832 number and wells fargo account. One of these two definitely got hacked. Screwed up they don't warn us about it. Wish there were some way to press charges.

Same here...Tmobile account. Got a text message from "onlinealerts" referencing "Wells Fargo". It's a scam all right.

I got the message at 10:12 cst on 10/15/11 to call and follow instructions.  we have wells fargo accounts and have 832 numbers with T-Mobile.  I got it but my wife didn't.  I figured it was a phishing scam.  The sad truth is that someone probably followed the instructions and that's why the scammers keep doing it.

Received text message on t-mobile (that carries a charge for this unsolicited message) with this number to call, "action required for your Wells Fargo account. Call 1-806-6861-186 and follow instructions!". Evidently a phishing scam, as evidenced by the style and other reports.

Also t-mobile here, same message, but 415 area code and hardly anyone has my number;
looks to me that the problem's with t-mobile. I don't appreciate getting charged per scam message, either.

I received the same message just now and I'm with the area code 832 with T-mobile. Maybe it's our carrier, which sucks if this is true.

this is weird that lots of people got calls today from this number. i did also and i knew it was scam.crazy people.

I just got a text message that said to call this number about my Wells Fargo account.  I'm glad I looked here.

wells fargo knows about this.  the banker i just talked to didnt even let me finish giving him the # the text came from before he told me about the problem.  has anyone sent out resumes in the last couple of days cause i think that is where they got my cell # from.  had a scam check writing offer from a resume and since then i have been getting tons of emails requesting account info to receive funds.  think they are connected.

10-15-11 at 9:30 pm I got the same text message  about my  Wells fargo Acc. THIS IS A SCAM !!!!!!
