Ok... HOW DO WE GET THEM TO STOP CALLING????? It's annoying!

Must be the same jerk that called me - from a blocked number.  The connection was so bad I only caught about every other word, so I told him this and hung up.  He called me back from an unblocked number and went through the same garbage.  I told him to leave me alone and hung up again.

Like Jimmy posted, I received the same "fake" Microsoft call.  (Also with a thick Indian accent) Microsoft would never do this!

SCAM

They claimed to be from Microsoft and indicated that I had malware on my system (Microsoft doesn't keep track of phone numbers let alone call).

What they do is try and get into your computer by going into common error codes to fool you in that you have a problem when you don;t. Then they have you log into their site that destroys your computer if you do not pay them. It is a way to steal after lies.

I knew this and told them I didn't have a computer in which case they hung up. It is a scam of mammoth proportions. It must be off shore as the people there always have an accent.

I'm currently having this situation investigated.... man called from this number says he's with Micrsoft, I believe using different phone numbers, urgently asking if I need help with my security issues with my computer.  He asks leading questions so I believe its a phishing scam because 5 days later I had some one log into my PayPal & send $$ to an email address.  The IP address from email matches city man from this phone number says he's calling from.  Like I said, currently investigating this so just don't answer from this number.

Same thing.. Calling from Microsoft and has an India accent..

They have called my house twice a day for the past 5 days.

Same thing. Said they were from MIcrosoft and my computer was reflecting viruses. I said it was not and that I would call Microsoft myself. He hung up. Stupid people.

This number called me today and stated that it was an emergency and that they were calling from Microsoft customer help line.. they told me that my computer was reflecting several viruses and that they would need to gain access to my pc in order to fix it.. I asked to speak with a supervisor and then I hung up.. They called back about 5 minutes later with the same thing.
