Had a friend tell me  that she spoke to a Supervisor from  Capital One.. Friend said the problem was fixed.. I get a new call from this number 1 time this morning.

I didn't give  them a chance to talk !

Got a call from this number too one time this morning. A lady said Elizabeth I said yes. She said how are u today ? I said ok didn't giver her a chance to say anything else not even her name if it was Linda...  It's been taken care of.

I  got that phone call this morning at looked it up it's coming from Tampa, Fla.

This number is constantly calling our business' operator and help desk lines. There has only been someone on the line twice when the phone was answered, and they seemed very confused and weren't entirely sure who they were looking for. Asking them to take our numbers off their list did nothing.

We get at least one robo-voicemail from "Linda" every day afterhours. Sometimes they call and leave voicemails in the middle of the night.

It is Capital One.  The only times I've gotten calls from this number is when my Capital One card is 30+ days overdue.  If you call the number back, it's Capital One.  Do you think a gigantic company like Capital One is only in one place?  Are you truly stupid?  Or are you just one of those tin-foil-hat-wearing conspiracy people who thinks everything is a scam?

Yes, it is Capital One.  Yes, you owe them money.  Either pay them or get used to the phone ringing every day.

It's not capitalone. This is a scam going on. Block the number and report it.

yep time on deck is 853pm just recieved a call didnt answer...no voice mail was left so its not important to me..so what i do now is save the numbers and name them do***e bag 1 2or 3 so i never pick up again once i see the name on the screen

Really is correct.  This is a legitimate number with capital one

This is NOT a scam.  813-202-7244 is an automated message from Capital One that a payment is more than 30 days past due.  I received a message from Linda which is Capital One's automated caller.  It is legitimate and when I called the number back they had the correct information.

well dumbass sometimes thats not the case-- i dont even have a capital one credit card and never have- so explain why they are calling me

This number has been calling my cell phone daily.  Now its calling my work phone and the receorded voice says "Hold for an important message".  Who is this and how do we stop these calls!!)!(**^!^#E)^!#E!!@

I was called by this company today.  It seems like a scam from a company that claims you've won a free security system... they could be phishing for information.

Thank you! I just got a call like this one. Very weirdly worded and it is from LINDA. Thank you I won't be calling back. I have an auto pay with Capital One and they set the due date and the withdraw date. Surprise, my May payment was considered two days, yes only 2 days late and they fined me $25. Um how can a payment that they set up and they arranged be late? Scam!! I'm so pissed but I don't want to cancel my card as it hurts your credit rating for at least a year. I hope she finally stopped calling you...

Capital One is also in Richmond, Mclean VA, 2 cities in the Phillipines, India, Taigard OR, Salinas CA, Texas, Colorado, the UK and you happen to be correct about Costa Rica....You think a CO this huge is ONLY in Costa Rica??? lmao....read about them they actually were in the news for bringing so many jobs BACK to the U.S.

I got this call too i screen my call i was googleing this as it called i got a v-mail sounds like the lady was takeing a s*** eccos and far but she was just say 866-953-7906 cap 2 so it says he was a white boy i just hung up after he said capital one can i get your name i told him dees nutts and hung up..

Caller asked me if my name was such and such and wanted me to verify my birthdate and last four digits of my social.  When I refused to verify that over the phone, she went into this spill how my name was common and she needed to verify my social.  That it was an important business matter and to protect myself I needed to verify that information.  After repeating that I wouldn't verify that, she told me to hold on and she was going to check to see if should wave the fact I didn't verify and still give me the information about the important business matter.  I hung up.

called me.. had my banking info and an up-to-date account balance. they used my last 4 #s of my bank account it is linked to. a strong accented female voice claimed she could put my payment through before the end of the business day over the phone but online processing could take up to 2 days... so now i feel totally screwed out of 90$

it is a scam and they call from a 866 number too

got the message I do not have account or card and it is capital one, called the 1-866-953-7906 and get capital one and I tell them remove my number since I do not have account with them.  I have filed bankruptcy so I hoping the calls stop but it pissed me off...

Okay, now I see some of the others posts about this being a SCAM.  Yikes!!!!!!!!!!

When I didn't answer the second time, they left a recorded message.  Something about a business opportunity with Capital One.  We signed up for this card because of an overseas trip we took (no international fees).  I certainly hope these calls do not continue now that our GM Mastercard has been bought out by them!

calls 5 time a day 2 time at night never leaves a message.

The caller told me she was from Capital One and that I was overdue on my payment (I am not).  She wanted me to do an automatic transfer of $215.00 from my checking account.  This is a scam - do not send these people any money and do not give them your bank info.

get this # called every day even after 8 pm. never answer the phone, so annoyed.

Got a call from this number, they identified themselves as Capital One, asked for me by name, then asked for the password for my account before THEY could talk to ME.  I refused to give out any passwords.  They told me to call Capital One, which I did, and they had no knowledge of why anyone would be calling me, and said they NEVER ask for passwords over the phone.  THIS IS A SCAM.
