Calling it back, it didn't exist. However, I did have a message from this call, and it was for a Cuisinart parts order I'd just ordered, she had a confirmation delivery estimate for me. This was legit. Not from Sprint.

It is a scam.    The people saying that it is not a scam are the SCAMMERS.

I have verizon service.  They have called me several times...  WTF?

This number called and when I tried to *69 and call back it said the number was no longer in service.

Called me three times today. My caller ID says "Computer Generated Number"

Don't be so righteous. KR reports on 12 Jan 2010 that SSN was asked for. If a stranger calls and ask for info, no info should be given. You should call Sprint on a known-to-be-good phone number, then give info needed to access your account. Otherwise, you might be scammed.

The number is from Sprint Corporate.  It is not a scam.  And, I would like to add that if they are asking for your account pin it is because you set up a pin to prevent fraud.  You are complaining that they asking for your pin to provide the best account security possible, but if someone order something and charged it to your account and Sprint didn't verify the information, you would bitching about that.  You can't have it both ways!

This number has called me twice, the first time I missed the call and they left a message, asking me to confirm my order.  I have not placed any orders with Sprint.  They just called again and I answered it. I could barely understand the person the other end of the phone and she said "Angela placed an order and gave your name to confirm this".  I don't know anyone named Angela and told the caller not to bother me again.  We'll see what happens but it does not sound legit to me.

This number is actually Sprint - I placed an order and was told to call the order support line. They didn't ask for any other information other than verification of the order number..

Never call a callback number given by a robot or stranger - it could be a scam. The correct procedure is to call Sprint using a number from a legit source like the phone book or internet phone directory.

i got a call from this # said they were from sprint, it is someone scaming people, i talked to sprint and they said there is no orders, it is someone trying to steal your idenity

Left me a message have just ordered phones gave all info needed why are they still calling?

I got the same phone message saying they were from sprint and needed additional information. They asked me to call 1-866-860-6307- I saw someone else had this same number to call back in one of the above comments. I will be reporting both these numbers.

this IS a legitimate call back number from Sprint. I placed an order but missed the call. I called back the toll free number and gave them the 813 # and was told that it WAS from Sprint but you cant call into that number and that they can only dial OUT on that 813 number. They verified that it DID come from Sprint's verification department to verify your identity after placing an order. It IS a legitimate number from Sprint.

Got this- listed as Florida. They left a message- amd I got an email from them with the same message- and I verified it with the number on the website... did just put an order in through Sprint... so- I called back the number on the website- it's all legit. But,

I received a call from this number from a Mike McManus. Same story about confirming and veryfying information..... blah blah..... I was asked to call 866 - 860 - 6307. The guy on the phone had a middle eastern accent.

So I also checked my email and received a message that my order was on hold needing more information. Further, I checked the order status on the page detailed on the order confirmation email from when I placed the order and it also lists the oder on hold and tells mr to call 866-456-0575. So I do believe the call is legitimate, but who in their right mind would call a person and then first ask for their account pin. What idiots! Of course, I plan to pass my sentiments on to them when I do call. And, if you do get a call like this I advise hanging up and verifying it's crediability through sources you trust.

The caller said they were from Sprint and wanted to confirm some details about an order. I did recently place an order so I told them I could talk. The first thing he did was to ask for my pin number on the account. Unbelievable! I told him that he had to be kidding, that I didn't want to talk to him, and hung up.
He called back and left a message asking me to call 866-456-0575 to confirm order or else it would be cancelled.

This phone number called me, and I have kids on the road from Tampa!!!!   can't dial back.  Very bad! 6/18/10

I too received a call from this number.  The person on the voice mail message said she was with Sprint and needed more information about my order.  Order?  What order?  I never placed an order with Sprint!! She had an accent like the people from India. She said her name was Amanda.  Told me to call 1-866-820-6307.  I will be contacting my phone company with this information.

This number called me and left a message stating they were from Sprint and they needed more information regarding an order.  The message requested me to call back to 1-866-860-6241.  I called the number and they could not find my order.  They asked for my social security number to look up the order. I do believe this is a scam.
