have gotten at least 3 calls from phone# 813-448-4081 since Nov. 2011 from a guy with a deep accent said his name was Alexander ???? with the US Legal Dept. said that there was a local complaint involving fraud and criminal activities against me and that this was his last attempt to resolve this with me. Matter of fact on the last msg he didn't even finish his scheme because he got caught up in a conversation with someone else in the background--guess he forgot that he was leaving me a msg, which was definitely a sign that this was a scam. Have no idea what he is talking about. Have no clue what he is talking about or how he obtained my information. The first 2 calls at the end of the message he had the mitigating gall to end the call by saying have a blessed day. LMBO

I received a call from this number through my place of employment & my cell phone, I kind of thought this was a scam because I noticed that these type of calls are by a person with a foreign accent (more of in indian/arab). Funny thing about it is their using american names like Andrew Johnson & Dawn Morrison LOL!

This Call is a scam, I've spoke them a few times and told them to just file.. take legal actions if they want.  They wanted to work out a deal for money and asked a bunch of personal questions which I refused to give.  I could barely understand what the guy was even saying.. he said one day his name was Charlie Brown and Today he changed it to Officer Ben Bedict lol

There is currently an offshore scam. These scammers claim to be from American Legal Services. They call people telling them that they must send money today or they will be arrested tomorrow. If you are called by these people, do not give them credit card or any other numbers.
Get the address they want you to send the money to, then call your local F.B.I. and report them immediately.

I am getting calls from this number pulling the same scam on me as others in the posts. I am in Oklahoma. They keep leaving threatening messages on my answering machine saying a lawsuit has been filed against me and a criminal investigation is taking place. It is obvious it is a scam so I never answer. Unfortunately, people are not allowed to block so called business numbers, even when someone is using the business number to stalk or harass you or is scamming you. This law needs to be changed. People should not have free run of the phone lines just because they are using a "business" line. Any legitimate important business will require written correspondence anyway. Help, they are driving me crazy calling relentlessly!

TODAY IS  NOV 2, 2011. SOME GUY HAVE BEEN CALLING MY CELL PHONE AND NOW THEY ARE CALLING MY JOB. NOT KNOWING WHO THEY ARE SPEAKING WITH AND TELLING PERSONAL INFO TO MY CO-WORKERS THAT'S NOT TRUE.. HE MADE THREATS ABOUT TAKING LEGAL ACTIONS AGAINST ME FOR A PAY DAY LOAN. HE NEED TO EVER CALL ME AGAIN. WHEN HE FIRST CALL I TOLD HIM I FILED A CHAPTER 7 TO SPEAK WITH MY ATTRONEY HE HUNG UP. THE GUY NAME IS KEITH DAVIS FROM AMERICAN LEGAL SERVICES. I ASK TO SPEAK TO HIS MANAGER HE HUNG UP.

This guy has repeatedly called my work and cell phone.  I finally spoke to him and told him to tell me who I owed the debt to.  They told me "pay us $270 and then we can tell you" YEAH RIGHT!  I've reported them to our Florida Attorney General's office - they are even trying to use a Florida phone number!  They also used "911" as their caller ID one time - not realizing I work for the fire department!  You've got to love their gusto!

I know these are fradulant calls but I just wish they would stop.  When they do leave a voicemail, you cannot understand anything except that a lawsuit has been filed against my 'social' and they are going to turn it over to the courthouse. Then telling me if I do not return the call, I will be seeing something in black and white.  That is so funny because the last thing these people can provide is something in black and white to prove they are actually legitimate and that I owe them any money.

I'm sure we all agree that it would be nice if the authorities could take some kind of action against people who buy and sell confidential information and then harass and threaten law abiding US citizens.

i called them back and told them - call me again and you will be closed down forever!  I will personally go to your sweatshop armed with police, fbi, and hear you whimper as they throw you in cuffs and escort all your butts back to whereever in hell you came from!

Rec'd a message at home and at work from this scammer.   Had my sister very upset - left message that I was going to have a law suit and if I did not call him back - he would get the "black and white" after me (I guess he meant police)   He then "garbled" his message so you could not understand what he said - he did have a very heavy accent and said his name was Alan Hale.   It has SCAM written all over it - DO NOT CALL THEM BACK unless you like talking to dimwits !!!!!

Have had calls from this little jerk for over a year, he likes to add a little legal jargon, in his mixed up  sentences and thinks he sounds smart.. He has no idea how our legal process works, and it's obvious as he botches every attempt to come off as if he knows something. I enjoy correcting this pathetic liar on occasion, but am careful not to school him too much, I wouldn't want him to become any better at his scam.

Constant calling my cell and home numbers.   I listen to messages at times, and it will be a man one day and woman the next.  I did make the gentleman( i use the term very loosley) very angry the one time I did speak to him, that he called me (by Name)you are a MF and hung up!  They have also come out of Canada and L.A. with different area codes 713 and etc. Can never understand them speaking, but he was very plain spoken when upset!Hau

The number is a from a fraudulent company. I received a call from them threatening legal action for a debt from 2009 that I had not acquired. I don't know which company they were able to receive my personal information from, but they have it and are not a ligitimate company. Some guy made up the name of "Alex Smith" and wanted me to pay for some unknown debt that he made up. He gave me fake names of companies and obviously his name was fake. He told me "F*$! You" after I refused to coorporate with him trying to get me to pay, at which time I really knew it was a scam.

I received this call on my cell phone today.  The guy said that I was a reference for a relative and that I was included in the lawsuit they had against my relative.  I knew immediately this was a scam.  So I gathered up 10 of my friends, and we all called them back, over and over again.  One guy asked me, "Is the reason you are calling me so much, is because you think I'm hot?" LOL. After the 60th or so call, they would just hang up on us.  I figured that I had time to waste, and it kept them busy not harrassing other people for a while.  My friends and I are going to call them back every day for as long as the number is working.  Maybe all of you could try this.

As it's a scam, using a phony number (number may be legit, but it's not actually coming from the US) forget trying to much legally.  Would suggest an air horn or metal coach's whistle.  Should only take once or twice, depending on how many of them there are at this scamming location, and/or how stupid they are.

Now, now, "alex" or should we say Habib?  I know this site has made it hard for you to keep stealing from people (what IS the penalty for theft in your country?)  But just write it off as the cost of doing business and use another phony number to try to rip people off,  because of course, everyone here knows this number is a scam.  Maybe you should just get a real job; being a thief can't be easy....

They are saying that they are from "American Legal Services" funny thing is that this company is a true a legit company that is doing legit business and someone is just stealing their name. At the bottom of their website for this company there is a scam alert related to this. I hope that the authorities get to them soon.

got calls from "Bernice Martin" from "Dept of Law & Investigation" - same scenario. There is a case pending against my name & SS#, if I dont call back they will contact my employer & references. Believe or not at the end she says "God Bless You" .

Got a call from this company saying there was a lawsuit from a payday loan. I told him that I didn't have a loan and that I \knew this was a scam. I hung up on him and he called right back threatening me and saying that I was in trouble now. I hung up on him again and he called right back. My wife took the call this time and said that he was filing a lawsuit against me for abusing a legal officer. My wife told him to send the paperwork to us but strangely enough he didn't seem to have our address. Does anyone know how we can report this?
