"Linda" with capital one asking me to call 1-866-953-7906 regarding an important business matter.  However, when you go to capital one's contact us page, this number is not listed.  They don't have ANY 866 numbers.  Scam.

Message - great opportunity for credit

This number (813-274-1837) is constantly calling my home.

This is a scam. Capitol One Scam with pretenders. Do not try to talk to them or answer them. I just let them go to the voicemail and flush their call out from time to time.

I DO have a Capital One account and it IS slightly past due.

After reading so many posts saying this is a phishing scam, I called the number back and spoke to a very polite woman who asked for the same info as the rest. When I expressed reluctance to give anything more than my name and phone number, she was able to read me the last four digits of my actual account. She asked then for my birthdate, saying that she needed it to access the account in her system. I told her that I would rather speak to a number that I could confirm was Capital One and she said that was fine and told me to call the number on the back of the card, which she read to me in full.

I then called Capital One directly and the woman I spoke to confirmed for me that BOTH numbers are legitimate.

I understand, given the prevalence of scams, why people are skeptical when they get calls like these. In this case, however, I'm pretty sure that this is not a scam.

Because it's the collections dept.

They left a message offering me great opportunities for Capital One credit.... no thanks!

They call my phone from time to time--as do many others! Since I feel no compunction to answer calls to my cell phone from ANY number I don't recognize, it really is no problem--I only look at the incoming # to see if it is familiar and don't answer if it is not...

It's Capitol One.  Happens to be a collection agency.

These harassing jerkoffs called my mobile and left the same recorded voicemail for almost 20 days straight. I have reported the numbers and they are blocked and spam-listed. Now they seemed to have switched off to a new number in Virginia. They claim to be Capital One, but I know this is a phishing scam to get credit card numbers. Hope they die horrible deaths.

it took a month to make them stop calling me. all i did is never answer. if this was "capital one" the caller id should of showed instead of the phone number. Jeez these people saying it's capital one, well it's not real. they called me like twice a day everyday including weekends, thought they don't call on sundays. I don't even have a bank account, any credit card, or a job.

The number calls all hours of the day and night.

We pay our bills on time. They are NEVER late.  And we been getting phone calls from them. There is no reason why they should be calling at all.  I just looked at the bill that just came in 2 days ago and no where even near my due date.  This is BS they are calling here for no reason at all!!!!

they really need to stop calling after 8pm been getting calls around 1000p- 1100pm my address is one state my cell is still from my previous city , don't like getting wake up calls from them they need to stop or leave a message

I babysit for my daughter on Mondays and I have received four calls from Capital One.  They hang up either when they hear my voice or I tell them that the person they are looking for is not there, but they refused to leave a message.  If they call again, they are getting an airhorn in their headphones.  Can they call repeatedly even when someone picks up.  And can they hang up? It is rude and unprofessional

Yeah, I didn't pay you this month; deal with it; you don't need to f****ng god damn harass me for the only payment I've ever f****ng missed.

Landlady's caller ID said Capital One. Somebody in the household must have a past-due account.

It is Cap 1...somehow I missed my card payment last month...could have sworn I had set it up to pay but evidently I did not. Glad they called me...paid the past due and more...trying to pay it off!!!

It is NOT Capital One. My wife just got off the phone with their customer service manager. This number has no association with Capital One at all. They use the same voice as Capital One's system, but ask for your full credit card number instead of the last four digits like Capital One does.

They Called and left no message twice so I picked it up on the third time . They asked for a certain member of my household. When I told them they were not here and asked if I could take a message they said "no message" and hung up on me.

Same--a lot of calls that I don't answer----no messages----Now that I know it is collections---I just add that number to my call reject list!  Everytime she calls now--instant rejection!!  I don't even know unless I check the list of rejected calls now and then!  Try it! :)

this number has been calling me over a week. it's getting bery annoying, if this problem still continues i'm going to report this number for harrassment. this number has been calling me on sundays to.

Remains silent unless you talk. Once you say something, they say to "hold the line" for a caller. No one picked up, and after nearly 2 minutes, the line hung up.

Filed an FCC complaint.

Please dont call

calls repeatedly, told them to stop, told them remove our name, told them we are thinking of turning them in. Just stop already!! Never have had thier card , never will.

It's Capital One, just call then back and ask to be up on the do not call list, very nice people to talk to actually.
