Like Cc, I carry a Hawaii area code on my cell although I no longer live in Hawaii. CPB, Central Pacific Bank, is a Hawaii-based Savings and Loan. I, too, received an automated call from this number which used CPB and Mastercard as the catch phrases. When I didn't immediately press "1," the call disconnected. This call follows a text message I received yesterday from UWshsyfb0natKEn@mastercard.com telling me that my Mastercard debit account has been locked and that I should call 305-340-2725 immediately.
I reported both incidents to my cell carrier, Verizon. Their policy is to provide their customers with an immediate courtesy block on any reported spam/fraud/phishing numbers so we can't be contacted by them again. They also provided me with a forwarding address so I could send them the email I received yesterday. It will be read by a real person who will follow up on it. If you are a Verizon customer who has received a scam text message from a phone or email address, just forward it to 7726. No #, prefix, or name. Just the number 7726.
For any of you who wish to be proactive, here are the FTC reporting and "Do Not Call List" numbers. Call them. Make a report. Stand up for yourself and your rights. Enough is enough.
FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION: 877-382-4357
DO NOT CALL LIST: 888-382-1222

I live in Illinois, but have a Hawaii area code on my cell. I got a call from this number, but didn't answer. They didn't leave a voicemail. I've heard of cell phone scammers being able to "hack" into your cell phone, so I'm not sure if pressing 1 would allow them access somehow. I'm not a techie, so I don't know how it works, but better safe than sorry!

Same as above, said my CPB debit mastercard that I don't have was frozen.

rc'vd call from this number, dipslayed as 'unknown' so of course I did not answer. No message was left.

Receive a phone call on my cel at 10:50am HST, saying that my CPB mastercard was frozen and to press 1 to speak to a security officer. I pressed one and they wanted me to put in my 16 digit cc number. I do not have an account a CPB so I hung up. CPB is a local bank so figured I would check out the called number on the web and found this sight. Hope they don't get someone with a CPB account who puts their number in.

Got a call from this number 7/20/13 at around 9am HST. They left this message "Guess who is wearing the latest panties and sings merry has a little lamb?" The voice was in a broken European accent. Creepy...

Just received a call from same number out of Florida. Same type of pre-recorded message as listed in the previous post. I just hung up.

This guy is still trying! Missed a call from this number since he called at 7 am on a Saturday. No message. I have relatives in Florida but didn't recognize the number. Thanks for the warnings!

Got a similar call, didn't answer since it was unknown, and it left a voicemail saying, "Press 1 to be transferred to our security department."
Complete BS call. :/

I just got a call from this number and I don't even live in Florida. Just working here. Looked on here and there it was. Thanks for the heads up!

Received a call from this number on my cell telling me my debit Mastercard had been locked down. I don't have a debit Mastercard. Big time scam.

Called my cell and it didn't leave a message. I never seen this number before so I searched it on the web and I found this site. I don't know anyone or bank in Florida so its a scam. Several months ago I got the same call , same area code in the number also, and a guy was telling me that he is suspending all my debit accounts until I update a "descretion" in my account. Explained to him in colorful descriptive words what I thought about his scam until he hung up.

Called after midnight saying my debit card had been suspended. I don't have one. When I pressed 1, no one picked up after several rings. Incompetent scammer.

just got this call at almost 3am. didn't catch it before the voicemail picked up but tried to call back and the number is out of service. seriously...I realize it's a total scam but couldn't you at least call at a more appropriate time?

Got part of the prerecorded message on voicemail. Googled and got this site, so assuming it's a phishing attempt.

Automated voice that said my visa debit card was temporarily suspended and to press 1 to be transferred to the security center (or something like that). I figured it was a scam and hung up.

Got a call from this number saying about my debit card (put into stop) and dial 1 to activate again..its a pre recorded voice and the voice is intermittent..most likely a scam to get all your personal information...

I just got the same call telling me my debit card was suspended. So I hung up since my bank is not located in FL. And I just searched for the number on the internet and I see it is a scam.

Got a call from this number with a prerecorded voice saying that my debit card had been suspended and to press 1 to speak to a Security Representative. I pressed 1 to see where it would take me and the message says to put in your 16 digit card number. A legit call would already have that information and would only verify who you are and as someone said a live representative would call and not a prerecorded voice. THIS IS A SCAM!

Norfolk Fire Department. Ha, I think they meant to type fraud department. Second time I've gotten the call from them in two months. It's pathetic and funny to listen to the fail. 757 area code checking in to the thread.

Both of us received a phone call on our cell phones 1 minute from each other stating our debit card has been put on suspension to press 1 to speak with a representative. Tried to call the number back and it said the number was not in service. SCAM written all over it.

I just got a call from this 813-320-0920 number, telling me my debit card (which I don't have) has been suspended and I needed to press 1 if i wanted to have it reactivate. I was not referred to by name. Sounds like a scam to me, just to get some info from me.
