Just got a call from them at 8:30 am for the first time.  I answered "Franklin County Criminal Justice Department, Officer Dooley.

Immediately the person gasped, then said oh goodness we will take this number off our list, so sorry we called a corrections facility.

Once someone responded to my comment that I am the criminal for saying this.  Well, maybe so, but....these VULTURE calls have reduced from an average of 11 a day to about 1 a month.

Here?s my standard advice regarding unidentified callers...

Never, EVER, give out ANY information about yourself or your household over the phone!

Just don't answer calls from numbers you don't recognize. Your friends and relatives will leave messages accordingly.  Ignore calls from those you don't know.  And don?t waste your time on ?do not call? lists and the like.  These lists have a bazillion legal loopholes, and the callers are usually scofflaws anyway; they couldn?t care less whether or not they?re breaking the law.

Only when we take the profit out of these calls will they stop!

I'm not a CPA and yet they keep calling offering me continued education.  I tell them over and over I'M NOT A CPA and have no accounting degree.  Go away and DIE!

Called at 6 am...heard them talking to co.worker..hung up when I said hello

Someone called me from this number about ten minutes ago. Verizon overcharged me for my service back in 2010, and I just let their service go. Somehow, this guy got my bill, and called me offering a deal to pay off my Verizon Bill. I told him I didn't have any money right now, and maybe in 30 days. He wanted to get my debit card information to hold on to the special price they were quoting me. I kept telling him, and I didn't want to do that, because I wasn't sure if I would have the money by then. He wouldn't take "no" for an answer. He just kept repeating his rebuttals to me. He really wanted my debit card information! I ended up hanging up on him!

Calling to sell me CPE during busy season?!? Morons.  I just blocked them on my VOIP.

They are callig my cell phone.  I told them to quit calling me but they won't,  Also I thought I had my cell phone on the do not call list.  I have never purchased from them.

old CPE was expiring, didn;t recognize the number but with dialog above this would be Global CPE

Call came in.  Went to the voice mail.  No message left.

We continue to get calls from "Adam" at Global CPE even after we have told him that were not interested in his companies products. He called a second time identifing himself as "Adam" and when confronted that he had already called he continued to lie and say that his name was not "Adam". This time he was told in a rude way to stop calling us but continued to anyways 2 more times. *This was all last month.

Now to start this month out we have "Adam" calling again with the same old crap trying to sell something. VERY Irritating/unprofessional since he has been asked now over 3 times to STOP CALLING.

HINT!
Acting like your interested then keeping "Adam" on hold until he hangs up seems to work pretty well! We will continue to do this since "Adam" shows total disregard for a businesses time.

They call every two days at 830 am. I just ignore it. I see most comments talk about state board, that makes sense because I'm a hairdresser. Are they trying to sell a something, like continuing education?

They tried to sell me on their continuing education. I have never done business with them before and I am on the do not call lists for federal and Florida. I will be reporting them. I suggest others do the same.

George, as a previous employee of CPE Solutions (GLOBAL CPE is a separate company, btw) I can tell you that they get their lists from three places: the state boards, the website (inquiries) and previous customer accounts. The only way they'd have your cell phone and be able to call it is if you registered it as your business phone, or any contact number with the state board. Its considered a B2B company, which means it is not necessarily subject to the DNC registry.

I can concede that the lists are old and worn out and they probably need to get new ones, but other than that its not a bad company.

A very rude woman named Maria just called from this number;  caller ID only shows the phone number.  She asked to speak to my boss by his first name - anyone that familiar with him does NOT reach him via office phone.  When I asked who was calling she said "Maria from Precert Admissions".  When I asked what this is in reference to she immediately got angry and told me she didn't understand why I'm asking 20 questions, if he's available it's "very long" and she just needs to talk to him and she's not going to go through this, if he's not there just say that and she'll call him later, and why am I giving her the third degree?  I had to talk over her to tell her I know this is obviously a sales call and I'm not giving a call to my boss without the caller being able to tell me why they are calling, which tells me that it's a sales call.   That's a standard business practice. I hung up on her still spouting off.

They called me over and over and the girl on the other line sounds like a hooker. They refuse to take me off the list and they should be investigated

the company is global cpe, a very aggressive telemarketer of continuing professional education for accounting professionals.  they are also infamous spammers.  i have no idea about their product -- who would try it?

Most likely they got our numbers from the IRS.
It is sick that that list is public.

I got a call - I didn't answer but looked at the helpful posts above, and decided that this was probably "legitimate spam" - they are offering continuing professional education for tax preparers, and in a former life I did that for H&R for a couple of years.  I called the number back, and a polite gentleman apologized for the call and said he would take my name off the list.  Now I'll just wait and see - and I'll post back if I get any more calls.

They call and do not leave a message. I called back with the guy on the other end saying this is Global CPE. I said someone from your company called my cell phone what is it that you wanted? He said nothing, it was a wrong number.

I don't understand why they even make the effort to call if they don't want to say what is it that they want when you call them back.

Read the notes thought what the hell, i'll have them take me off the list. Spoke to one of their reps, polite, professional, offered me a good price. I looked at their website, they have a lot of courses and there current unlike my current provider PPG, CPE Solutions, CPE mart or whatever name they are going by now. Didn't expect to be a customer of Global CPE, we'll see how it goes.

I suspect the common denominator for these calls is that the individuals may be accountants.  This could possibly be registered lists for tax return preparers or enrolled agents.

They call and I was busy so told them that I would call back, they said no, we will call you back and hanged up.

I just checked and they've called before and I have told them plenty that I am not interested, yet they keep calling. My cell phone is registered in the donotcall.org so I don't know how they are able to call. I will report them.
