I get a call from this number several times a day. Nothing is ever said but then they will hang up. It is very annoying because I have no idea if I should consider this as a threat. I just may have to invest in a firearm to make sure they can not do any harm should they come to my house. Better yet I think I am going to buy a blow horn and blow it when I answer it.

I did some research on these calls. The company is called American Solar Energy. Their website is here: http://www.americansolarenergy.com They are based in Jacksonville, Fl but use computers with numbers all over the state. They give this call back number: 727-945-3335

They want to sell you solar panels. Don't buy from anyone on the phone. And solar is still a high cost, low return energy alternative. If fact, Germany went totally behind solar energy when it first came out. They are now as a country, backing off of solar and all the incentives because it's costs are still very high and it just doesn't provide enough energy for the money. It's great to charge your cell phone with or warm your pool water, but not for your house.

What you are experiencing are called "robo-calls". It is a computer that dials phone numbers automatically. It doesn't read a phone book. It doesn't care that you are on the No Call lists. It starts with an exchange, such as XXX and then starts in that exchange with 0001 and keeps dialing to 9999. So it would be like XXX-0001 then XXX-0002 and so on until it gets to XXX-9999. The computer will do that for all exchanges, all combinations, all area codes. Now, when it "hears" someone pick up and say words like "Hello....hello" these computers will then dial back to a boiler room full of people who want to sell you something, or rip you off with a scam. The reason it takes a long time and you may not hear anyone answer is that all of these "sales" people are busy with other calls sent to them by these computers. Its constant all day. After a short period of time with you saying "hello...hello" the computer "times out" and hangs up, only to store your number as a working number with a live human on the other end to dial you another day. If you pick up each call, eventually you will get a person the computer has found that is open and they will run their sales pitch, political survey,  or scam past you. Here's the principal we all should operate by. Never...NEVER buy anything over the phone. Don't pick up on numbers you don't recognize or the ID says "Unknown" or "Out Of Area" etc. If someone needs to get hold of you, their phone most likely will have their ID on it or they will leave a message. We monitor the calls and if it's a friend or relative, we pick up when we hear their voice. I hope this helps explain what is happening and feel free to share this information. One more thing. There are laws that protect you from collection agencies. If you are being harassed or threatened over and over by a collection agency, report it to your local District Attorney's office or find a local Collection Protection lawyer. They can sue the agency and they take their fees from what they get from the agency. Always check out any service you hire first with the Better Business Bureau and your state's Consumer Protection Agency. Be safe!

This is a Verizon issued number. Verizon sells our information and phone numbers to spammers. Yes, when you call this number and numbers like it back, especially when you block your number, it says its disconnected or no longer in service.  That happens even when they just called you and then call back again the next day. Spammers are a problem but the bigger problem is that VERIZON in particular and other phone companies have NO ETHICS.  They overcharge for phone service and then sell all our information to spamming criminals.  Verizon also allows these criminals to place third party charges on your phone bills without your authorization.  You must contact Verizon or your phone provider and DEMAND that third party charges be BLOCKED. Verizon is already involved in several class action lawsuits due to these types of unscrupulous business practices.  Unfortunately, only lawyers make money from class action lawsuits.  Talk to your legislators and demand laws that protect the rights of individual citizens from big business criminals.

Have been called by this 813-395-6516 number for the two weeks. When my wife would answer they would hang up. I answered  yesterday and they began to talk all of sudden. The man I spoke with told me that they were doing a free energy audit. I asked for a website and he provided me with www.flaseref.org . I played along told then I needed to research the information and asked for a call back number to schedule an appointment. The number I was given 727-945-3335. I Googled that and came up with American Solar Energy. http://tampa.craigslist.org/pnl/csr/4075114071.html . This is just another company trying to sale you some solar panels. Thanks Obama.

I am constantly getting called from this phone number, multiple times a day and at all hours of the day... No messages are left to identify who is calling.  
When returning the call, an automated message states, the number is not in service.

Just realized this is a "Skype" number which is probably why you can't call back and get an answer.

We get multiple calls per day from this number. This Deanna Dawn Baker also goes by the last name of Williams and Owens. Imperative to learn what company provides this phone service and report this harassment. This is absolutely crazy that this person is getting by with this!

Calls, calls and calls, number is a nopnworking number

I get 3- 4 calls a day, blocekd on phone and my service from Bright House.  Call back said it is not a working number

They began calling me last week and no one is ever there.  When I call back it says number is diconnected.

Got over 40 calls in the last week here in tarpon springs FL. If you have verizon service dial *60 to add a number. to a block list, Dial *80 to unblock a number

this number calls me daily but it never rings more than twice.  i haven't tried to call it back.  I'm disabled and have to get to a phone to check the number in case it is a doctor's office calling me... 813 395 6516

Same thing, have been calls for weeks.  I never answer and when the calls go into message zone, dial tone occurs.  I was recently out of town for one week & when I returned there were 21 calls on my caller ID from this number, yet no messages left.  I DO NOT ANSWER CALLS I DO NOT RECOGNIZE!  If whoever is calling from this number, take note.

***UPDATE***
I received my daily call from this number, and was able to answer and get a human to talk to.  The call is from American Solar offering energy audits on your home.  I asked to be removed from their list, and we'll see if that happens.  I asked for American Solar's direct number and it is :  727-945-3335 .   I called the (727) number and confirmed it IS American Solar.  I talked to a Frank there and also asked him to be removed from their calling list. Let's hope this works. I urge everyone to call this company directly and request to be placed on their do not call list, also ask whom you are speaking to.
***While writing this post, Frank, returned the call and said my number is not on their calling list. So, ...crap.   What to do?

I tracked down the number through the company that sold it for use. It was bought by Bright House Cable network. It is being used by the Zephyrhills branch. I called bright House customer service and they have removed me from all there automated calls. I hope this works.

Nuisance call

THIS NUMBER CALLING DAILY.   No one there when I pick up.

I have reported this number before[ 813-395-6516]. I was getting calls on my home phone. Then, recently, I got a fax line and now get calls everyday from same number.

This number has been calling me daily for a week now. Thye do not leave a message nor say anything when the phoine is answered.

Call every morning, does not leave voice mail but hangs on long enough for it to connect to my VM and yes I call and it says disconnected.
