I got a call at work from First State Attorney stating they had the last four of my social and that I had been scammed and I needed them to help me.  It was obvious it was a call center, no one spoke good english.  The supervisors name was George he gave me a call back number of 202-280-7039.  But then I got another call from a 517 number.  This is a scam not sure how they are getting our info.

i keep getting calls to work and on my cell phone from these people saying i took out a loan, and havent paid it,. I need this to stop!

I got the call this morning which scared me and I was crying a lot. They said they would send cops to my work and have kids taken from me. That I had to go to walmart and buy a prepaid green dot card put 600 dollars on it and everything will be fixed if I didn't then I will spend 6 months in jail and have to pay over 3000 dollars in fines. Well I called bbb and they told me it's a scam and after reading all these posts and seeing what everyone has said I know it is a scam now. I just love that my husband called acting like my lawer and they got all mad and cussed him. So now I keep calling and harassing them for upsetting me

This person is calling me at work also stating " They have a case against me and they are calling me from first state attorney office" but when I asked which state, they said I should know.  If this was real, they would say what state.  The numbers they call from are 415-985-8203, 717-724-4523,646-593-7767 and there email he gave was ilpd@usa.com

I received 3 phone calls in the last 3 weeks with all numbers that seem to be fake.  Each time I call them and ask who they are they say " you called me"  so this is a scam if they don't know there own number.  They told me they have a case against me last week when they called me on Wed 11/16/11 and if I don't settle by Monday I would have a summons.  Well today is wednesday and no such luck.  I got a call today from the same guy and told him where is my summons, he hung up on me.  Watch out.  I do have an attorney and once I told them I need there info so my attorney can call them, they hung up.  This time when they called they said they were calling from "first state attorney office", but didn't tell me what state when I asked.

I received a call from First State Attorneys from 915-582-4840 claiming that I had a legal case against me also.  They called my place of employment, had my SS# and was very demanding. Told me I had to get and attorney and if it went to court and I lost I would go to jail. Told me they sent me papers,but I have never received anything. I asked who it was for and he rambled so names of pay day loan companies which I didn;t catch. He was very hard to understand. If someone is going to sue me should I not be getting papers from the court. He wanted me to try and settle out of court and send him the full amount.then he said I could make half the balance and it would have to be on a pre paid visa card. From what I can tell by looking things up on the computer this is a scam company.

I just received a call (on my cell phone!) from this number today, saying there was litigation against me unless I called him back by Friday.  I am currently in a debt relief program, so I'm wondering if this is where they're picking up the information.  I have only had this number for about six months and I too am
extremely nervous.  The callback number wasn't even a real number, it came up 052-497-347.  Any updates?

I have been receiving calls from this number for two days straight with them saying that I took out a cash loan on 9/10/2009. They have all my information and it is reallyu scaring me. I haven't received anything written at all. I assume this is a scam. I wish they would stop.

I received a collection call, yesterday.  Had nothing to do with me, but they said they were given my number, as I would know how to reach Mr. and Mrs. James.  Blocked the number, as I don't know anyone by the name, they claim I would know how to get in contact with.

For mobile phones the best option is to add it to your contact list with the name " DO NOT ANSWER"; if they call back just look who is calling!  

I wish someone would create a DO NOT ANSWER website contact list ...my cell phone directory is relatively empty and could use populating.

I got a call from "FIRST STATE ATTORNEYS" calling from 805 357 0269 claiming that I had a legal case against me.  They were very rude and would not tell me what kind of case.  They knew my social security number and they threatened to "screw my life up forever" and put a "black mark" on my social security number.  They claimed the call was being recorded and accused me of being rude because I didn't know what case they were talking about.

This guy who sounds indian called my job and left a message saying....First his name is Gimmie Brown. Thats fake, he couldn't even say Gimmie. He was calling from First States Attorney. Ok what is that. Why would the states attorney for San Francisco call me? I'm in a totally different state. He said the what number did I call. I said you tell me. He said don't worry the authorities will be there soon to pick you up. I said why... he said don't worry I have your address. Well if you have all that then why do you need my number. Long story short I cursed his non english speaking a$$ out. So he started yelling and then he hung up. WOW this has to be fraud. I called the number back to see if I can speak to a supervisor. He answers again. This time he says they are coming and hung up again. So I waited awhile before I called back again and when I did he answers the same phone number but this time his name is Kevin Peterson. SCAM Please be careful all they need is your name. They use anything they will call a main number if they get your answering machine and you leave your first and last name thats what they will use to get there scam started.

I am having this exact same experience - they claim I am being sued over a loan I never took, from a company called Cash Advance Services.  I would love to understand how to stop it.  A lawyer friend advised that I report it to my local state attorney's office.  These people took money out of my bank account which I filed as fraud and had to change all of my information.  The calls are starting to get more and more threatening.  I know it is a scam but I can't have these people harassing me at my job and my home.

I have been receiving calls from this number stating that I took out a loan and never paid it back and that I have committed a Federal Offense and I need to get a lawyer as they are going to drag me into court for repayment.  I asked for something in writing, I never received anything.

These people tried to call us....My husband talked to this guy and told him to send some info to us...It was a fake ledger that didn't tell us anything...This guy claimed we owed money to Cash Advance USA...We contacted Cash Advance USA and they said that we did not have an account with them and they will contact their local authorities....We contacted that guy again and told them that this is obviously a scam and if he contacts us again, we will call the authorities...Guess, what??  He never called us again..

This number called my wife and said we had a debt and made her cry!!!  when i called they said it was from a payday loan and asked if i wanted to go to court??  then he told me he was going to come and f*ck my wife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   steam out my ear , nostrils , mouth...it's very disturbing that a "company " can do this...i called back several times and they kept hanging up without answering (10x)...finally i reached someone again and asked for a manager and got a fake manager,,company name Affidavit consolidation Services..police here i come!!!  Dont be fooled,,,they're a scam

I received two calls (on my cell phone!) from this number today, saying there was litigation against me.  The callback number wasn't even a real number, it came up 052497347.  When I ignored the call, which I always do when I don't recognize the number, they turned around and called my work number.  These people have gotten my info from a pay day loan site (which I did visit) and are relentless when it comes to trying to scam people out of money.   The receptionist in my office has wonderfully been screening my calls and sending straight to voice mail.  She finally started hanging on them when they call because I told her to do so.  I happened to be near the switchboard just now and these damn people called here 9 times.  I finally picked up on the 6th call and told them they were being recorded and would be arrested once the recording is turned over to the authorities.  I was then called a mother f**** b***h and I madly hung up on them.  They've not called back since so I hope my message was delivered loud and clear.  WHENEVER YOU GET A CALL FROM ANY OF THESE PEOPLE, DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT RESPOND IN ANY WAY.  THEY ARE TRYING TO SCARE YOU INTO PAYING THEM MONEY!!  Sorry for the caps, I don't mean to yell.  I just wanted to get my point across.  I hope these calls stop bothering my employer and I hope this helps those of you who may be present (and future) targets of these lowlifes.

They will not stop calling and they are looking for someone that we have not talked to in about 2 years..What do we do to have then stop calling....

I too have received calls from this number (and every other number they've attempted to contact me from).  They're called ACS, and THEY ARE FRAUDULENT.  If you've ever applied for a payday loan, these people have somehow accessed your personal information.  Ignore them!  They will call and call, but if you do like I did and simply curse them out one good time, they'll temporarily leave you alone.  They've called my job and house phone for months on end, and today they called my cousin who was listed as a reference on a payday loan.  They threatened her with legal action if she was covering for me, which is also illegal.  So once again, I called Mr. "Rick Thomas" (such an American name for a guy who can barely say Rick Thomas) at the number he gave my cousin.  When he picked up, it sounded like he was shuffling papers around (probably picking up his script) and I asked him why the fuk he was calling me.  Guess what Mr. Federal Investigator himself said to me.  "B**ch, don't call this number gain.  Fuk you."  Now you tell me, does that sound like a federal investigator to you?  Lol.  Either ignore them, or curse them out repeatedly and have a little fun as their expense.  They're harmless, just annoying.

i recived a call from this same guy and i could barely understand him, he gave the wrong name and he also called my mom too, and asked for this same person, when she said it was the wrong phone number, he said you better not be lying to me or i will come after you, i told her to call the authorities and report him

All I can say is if you are gonna call me, speak ENGLISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Caller ID number is not even a real phone number and I am not even gonna call back the 813-435-1963 number that they leave. Do not call my work cell number and threaten me with lawsuits, arrests, etc.  Go scam someone else Haji!!!!

i have received the same call as well. and i did a reverse look up on the number and it is saying unpublished. and the number coming is 054-497-347. but i was told you b the atorney general that they are scamers flashing cell phones from india to landlines. i would contact them a report it. there are rights that they are opposing.

I continually get a call from this number stating I took out a cash advance for $300. I asked them what was the date and all they could tell me is April 2009, Hell no you give me the date. So I asked what's the website was the cash advance from. I contacted them and they told me they have no record showing I ever received a loan from them, that they have investigators looking into them. Stupid a** people, they do have all my info. I am frustrated with these people and want this to stop. Who knows how many people they have scammed.

They called me three times today with the thickest accents while I was at work and driving I could not understand the message. And when I actually spoke to them they refused to tell me who they worked for or represented and that they had a lawsuit against me and to hire a lawyer. I was like first of all I cannot understand what you are saying speak slower or put someone on the phone that I can understand and second I never took out a loan they started yelling that they don't have to tell me anything and their records show I took out this money and have to pay it back. When I DEMANDED to speak to a superior they said ummm okay have a blessed day we don't have time to explain anything to you or we don't have to explain anything to you and then hung up on me! You better believe I am calling the SS department, I went to the bank and changed my ish and I am deleting my email because of these m fer's... BE WARNED IF 052-497-347 CALLS YOU ITS A SCAM AND IF THEY SAY ITS DAVID COOPER AND TO CALL THEM BACK AT 813-435-1963 THE LINE WILL ALWAYS BE BUSY. Take actions into your own hands and report them and protect yourself contact your bank, lawyers, police, SS department, and change your email if need be.

I have also received a call from the same little man say that he has some type of document against my name and social security number. If I do not talk to him I would go to court and that I would be in serious trouble. Whatever!!!!! He has tried calling so far about 8 times and its climbing. Maybe he would get the hint no one is going to answer a number I don't know.

Received 3 calls from this number today on my cell phone.  I am so glad I googled the number before I called back.  I was very suspicious with the thick Indian accent so that gave me reasonable concernt to google first.  What a scam.  I will put them on ignore and do a block of the number too.

it the same guy just called me today many times and my work number, so even if he threaten to do something, just ignore it right?
