I have no idea how they even get number, my phone number only became active last week and it has been given out to literally no one and I've had 5 or 6 calls from numbers like this so far, it should be illegal.

If you are on Verizon, sign in to the website, go to Manage Family Safeguards and Controls.  This page gives you 5 fields to key in phone numbers that you would like blocked.  This is a free service and works terrific.

Just gat a call about my "so call IRS tax debt"  I asked what IRS tax debt and she kept going on.  Just another scam.

Want a great solution get rid of most of these callers?  Move your phone number to Google Voice and purchase an Obihai Voice over IP telephone interface.  Google will charge you a $20 one-time fee to transfer the number, and the Obihai unit costs less than $40.  Plus, Google voice costs nothing for you to use as long as you call numbers inside the US and Canada.  When you move your number to Google, you can enable the Google spam feature.  All it takes is one or two people to identify a number as spam and they will no longer be able to reach anyone that is using Google Voice with spam protection.  You will get an email message telling you someone tried to call you from that number, but it won't ring your phone.  Then before you call them back, go to 800notes.com and see if it is a spammer.  This has eliminated over ninety percent of my phone spam.

One caveat -- Google can only transfer existing numbers from mobile phones.  If you have a land line, you will need to buy a Trac Phone from Amazon ($12) and move your land line number to the Trac Phone.  Once the transfer is complete (about two to three days), you can go on Google Voice and move the number from the Trac Phone to Google (and pay $20 for the transfer).  Or, if you don;t care about keeping your old number, you can opt for a number assigned by Google for free.  And you save all those monthly charges that your land line provider used to charge you.  The Obihai unit plugs into your Internet using an Ethernet cable, and it has a phone jack to connect to your land line phones.  Enjoy.

Now this number is calling about back tax debt to the IRS. We don't have any back tax debt. Long automated voice explaining then say press 1 to talk to them and press 7 for them not to call again.

These people have called several times about reducing back taxes.  I've asked them not to call since I'm on the DNC list.  If everyone would report them to the Attorney General maybe they would get shut down.

I too have been receiving calls from that number. I agree that they must be using multiple phone numbers because my cell call log has some other unidentified 800 type numbers, and I get a call a couple of times a week sometimes. The calls I get are for tax relief. I just reported this number to the FCC and will keep track of other numbers as they come up to report those also.

They only give you the toll free number to GET your number that you call from. it may or not be the same one as they called so this is one way of getting more phone numbers!

I just got a call from this number trying to sell me SEO services (which I have no use for!). I told the guy who BTW said his name was "francesca"!!! to stop calling. He cut me off and said 'stop speaking so I can tell u what to do. All you can do is change ur phone number' ! REALLY? M*&@ER FU*@^#^?? I filed a complaint with FCC. Only takes a second so DO IT please. I will file one for each time they call. A'holes

This caller was telling m about my back taxes...lol...kinda hard to have back taxes when we were approved for a loan in December for a house. They go over your credit with a fine tooth comb

Called my work # but DID NOT leave a message # was 813-444-5511.
But later called my mother in laws # and left a message (A man's voice) that I have a supeona gainst me and that I need to call them ASAP.

Left a robo message that they can lower my IRS tax debt. Since I have no tax debt, not sure why they are calling...

This time left message that they were attorney jerry Jones from federal registration of criminal justice department. They were going to start legal proceedings against me. I WS gonna be responsible for all court fees. Gonna send supeona to my work place. Telling me the sensitive matter important I call them.

Has been calling me on and off for a year. Said was a debt collector for a loan I took out and had not paid back. Did do a couple of payments with them. Wouldn't stop calling my work and being rude with them. My work place reported them to police. Said they thought was a scam. Told them they were investigation federal agency same as had told me. Stopped sending money. Calls got very threatening. Know last 4 numbers of my social security number. Where I work. Said his name is George have stopped answering his calls. But leaves me messages.

We have multiple calls from this number, often several times a day.  Never any message.  When we answer they immediately hang up.  I am now wondering if they are connected to a ring if thieves, calling homes to see who is home and when there is no answer.  I have reported it to the SDPD

I received a call from this number, did not answer but listened to the message left: it was recording about their services to "help eliminate IRS back tax debt, levies and liens. Press 1 to speak to a rep and get started or press 7 to be removed..."  

I have none and am on the Do Not Call list so I can only assume this is another scam to get you on the phone to sell something or gain financial info.

Pretty sure Verizon sells your number to telemarketers and scammers, so that right about when your service contract is up with them, you will place these numbers on your blocked list and start another 2 yr. contract. That is the ONLY way these companies could be getting my phone number.

Gross violators of privacy.  They offer debt consolidation services that can easily be handled without professional help.  They have called before.  This time they left a recorded message.

I filed a formal online complaint with the FCC do-not-call registry.  I ALWAYS file a complaint.

I also added them to my call blocking (AT&T home phone service allows up to 20 numbers to be blocked).  The problem with this is I need about 50 numbers in order to block all the IDIOTS that call.

These people are the low-lifes of the earth - people who cannot get a job anywhere else.  They do not care if they are bothering us.
