I started blowing up their phone at 6a and now all I get is a fast busy signal..
I will set an auto dial to continue to blow up their phone..obviously it's a small co. or an individual that wants to sleep and be left alone like the rest of us..freakin hose bags..they just messed with the WRONG person!

I have worked for Asset for over 4 years now. All the allegations you make towards Asset for doing their jobs. Instead of not answering if its the wrong number why doesn't your lazy a** pick up the phone and say this is the wrong number remove me from your call list. Do you know how many consumers we get who call in and say this isn't them when it really is. So think for one second we are going to believe everyone. After we sit on the phone all day being cussed out,abused, and worked to the bone to make that "large" bonus check we get?It is a job that takes care of our family's and children. I don't see you complaining about fastfood workers who take forever making food at Mcdonalds. Yes we are evil, because we collect on your debt that you neglected to pay. It's your responsibility to pay money that you borrowed credit cards,car loans, etc. You think its Okay to let these just slip through your fingers? "Oh this is old I'm not going to pay it?" Wrong. And your theory according to the FDCPA stat of limitations only states after the limitations is up we cannot take legal allegations against the consumers for their debts we are still able to collect on debts that are from the 1980's for the fact it was YOUR responsibility to pay these. That's like not feeding your children because they are old. Our whole economy strives off of credit. Jobs do credit checks now also. So for the weak minded who say they don't care about their credit or old debts, well when you go to get that mortgage for that house you've always wanted and they see those old debts unpaid better believe you will be calling us to pay them they will MAKE you. I'm sure I'll hear from some of you soon. Continue bitching about Debt collectors when are job is to make your economy better and put food on the table for our familys. they called me today, and are one of many calls we've been getting lately on our new phone number. the recording mentioned a name which isn't anyone in the household, so i called them back at the customer service number listed in this thread. the woman on the other line was very polite and asked for my name and number. i gave it to her (i have nothing to hide as i have no outstanding debts) and she said she would put it in the computer as a wrong number.

AACC calls EVERY day asking to speak to my mother. I have explained NUMEROUS times that She(my mother)has had a massive stroke and can't talk ,walk or even eat by herself. They refuse to talk to me, then call again the very next day asking to speak to her. They are VERY rude and from now on I will refuse to deal with them in any way.

I got a call from these guys asking for a woman.  I said she wasn't here and they hung up on me.  The whole thing just felt wired so I got on here and checked out the number.  Got the Customer service # and called them back.  I told the people that I was this ladies husband and that I wanted to know what the debt was.  He went into detail about the issue and how much was owed and what the dates where.  Turns out it was an SBC-Yahoo account.  Then he immidiatly asked for my name and I hung up on him.  I feel better now.

They call for my wife using her Maiden name. We had our 7 year anniversary yesterday. It is for a college electric company debt. It has been so long she is not sure if she even lived in the home at the time. This bill is over 12 years old! If you cant contact someone for $325 sooner then that  I guess your sol.  Jesse is correct it's not on your credit report but if you pay it it will be for 7 years. good luck.

This person or persons (sob) continually call my cell phone about someone that I have never heard of owing a debt.  
I would think that after awhile the fatherless a**hole would look up and see who they are calling.

Contacted by this company several times. They ask for me by my maiden name which I have not used for 16 years. They say I owe a debt that was last paid on in 2001. The account was opened in 1990. I asked that they have the orginal company send me a letter stating what was owed and what was purchased and when. They refused. Now I know why. I did tell him that it was past the statute of limitations. After researching a little, I called them back and told them I spoke with my lawyer and have no legal recourse. I also told them that I had researched their company online and knew that they purchased old, charged off debts. She said nothing! I told her to remove my name and number. She complied but I will see it that is true. I told her if I receive anymore calls, they will hear from my lawyer.

They are a collection agency.  I have been receiving calls from these people three or four times a day on my pay-as-you-go cell phone.  They have left five messages looking for a Robin Aguilar, claiming it is "Federal Business".  I also have gotten calls from the same person from the number 866-659-3474.

I keep getting calls from  813-464-2350. Finally I dialed *69 and I got the number calling. I called to let them know that I have no clue for whom they are calling, and to complain that is bothering us, that this is a corporation, and I was told that " I  have to comply " and give them all info regarding the person they are calling. I have no clue,why I have to give them any informations. By the way I can't even make up the name of that person they are looking for.

Frustrated Caller:  No I'm not, I'm (name) and I'd like to know why I keep getting these calls about a debt for Kristen Farrelly?

Tonya Reid Counterpart:  Is your number...... (and they say the number so fast all you realize it's not your number).

Frustrated Caller:  No that is not my number.

Tonya Reid Counterpart:  (rude) Ok I will remove your number from our list.

Frustrated Caller:  What can I do to make this stop happening?  I keep getting these calls about this Kristen Farrelly's debt sometimes even mail.

I wish I knew what to do about this to make it stop.  This is the 3rd time in a year this has been happening.  I call and tell them I'm not Kristen Farrelly, they say that they will take me off their list.  But here they are again calling my home.  I guess the next step could be a lawyer.  Or trying the Better Business Bureau?  I know next time I see that number on my CID I won't be answering it or returning their calls.  ASSET ACCEPTANCE CAPITAL CORP or AACC is a company who likes to harass people who don't even have debt with them.  And they don't care to help resolve the issue politley, all they like to do is yell at you, and hang up.  3/20/2008

This number keeps calling me for Teddy Cooper----I told them no one here by that name.  But they keep calling-----Just me and my husband here and we are in our 70's---we don't owe anyone.   I want them to stop calling.

Yeah, i got those calls too several times a week. They call my cellphone numbers and looking for "Mike Lane". I've never picked it up and They always left messages.

Thank you for the customer service number posted here : 1-800-545-9931. I called them awhile ago and spoke to a woman name Reece Washington ( I have gotten her to spelled her name for me in case I need to file a complaint), she asked me if I am Sharon Davis , I told her no and she asked me what is my number, I told her that don't call me again, she just hung up on me.
Tried calling second time, believed the call was hung up by her too. I tried for a third time, managed to speak to another woman CS,didn't get her name because she was speaking so fast.
She was reading about calls being monitor ( as usual the collection agency stuffs). Anyway, I asked her as if why are they calling my number so frequent and tell her to check the caller ID for my number because I am not giving out any info. She asked me if I am Sharon Davis, I told her no. Then I asked her what is she going to do about it? She sd she will remove my number. I then asked her "IF" I ever get calls from AACC again, what would she suggest that I do? I also told her that "do you think I should make a police report for harassing if I get another call again?" She rudely told me, no since you are not Sharon Davis, we will not call you again. She hung up on me. No apology nothing....
Well, I'll wait and see if I ever get that call again...
To the others, good luck dealing with them, I know the collectors are doing their job,but please do it with pride and don't harass people.
