Text message on my cell phone from this number states: "Your Grow Financial FCU has a pending alert. Call now:1-813-466-7021 to remove this alert."  Problem is that I do not have any Grow Financial FCU accounts.  I have received this type of text message before and always on Saturday afternoons.  An obvious phisher looking for someone to scam.

i got this text too. I called but immediattely hung up when the female voice recording asked for me to enter my credit card # .  please hope FTC helps with this SCAM!

Grow Financial Alert Message - same as above.  I do not have an account with this institution.

I got a text from this # yesterday.It said the same thing too. I don't have an acct. there. I do with another credit union. Anyone that contacted the police, what did they say? The last time I contacted the police about a scam they didn't seem interested. I also called Federal Trade Commision with these scams. I think they will do more about investigating than local police.If anyone has any more info on this please share.

I received a text message at 10:27pm on a Saturday from181334667021@growsfinanical.org stating Your Grow Financial FCU has a pending alert.  Call now: 1-813-466-7021 to remove this alert.  As mentioned above reverse phone number lookup showed number as a mobile phone

I just got a text like the rest of you but do not have an account with this organization.  Looked up the number and found this site.  Will be sending to police.

Update to previous submission of Grow Fraud message.

For those receiving this text, if you have an account with Grow, request you not post that here, but strongly urge you to contact Grow and local Police as this indicates either account info has been hacked, compromised, or someone somehow gathered account holder names and phone-numbers. Not sure if this is spam to non-account holders or not but could be indicator of larger problem affecting this FCU.

Received this fraudulent text on 2 separate phone lines about 45 minutes ago:

Reported through e-mail to Fraud Department of Grow Financial FCU since sender may be targeting Grow account holders to syphon accounts of those that incorrectly believe this to be a valid message.

Suggest others do the same to increase priority in this credit unions Fraud Dept. to deal with this and potentially find or stop this fraudster.

I also got the same txt message.  Not calling it back. Google the number and it is a Cell Phone!

Recieved the same message on 2 separate lines tonight and sent e-mail to Grow FCU Fraud department, along with a call to Lifelock to report it and get it on record. Will also be passing to local Police Department in case sender is attempting to gather personal account info of account holders...question is, how does this person know any one has an account with this Credit Union? Needs more investigating to halt the fraud streem on this one. Suggest others also put in e-mail to Grow to report same to ensure they put the right resources when they realize that more than just a few are being targeted. Thanks.

Url in email is incorrect. I didn't call the number, but a reverse lookup shows is from a cell number registered with Cingular.
