Stating that I have three serious allegations against my name and social security number
| jane doe II 2011-06-06 20:59:26 Unknown |
I was called from 813-388-4157 by the name of John Hills and also 954-719-3813 John Bree from Affidavit Consolidation Services as well. This man kept harassing me and stating I owed money from 2008 and I better pay the debt or I will be reported to the consumer reporting agencies. I said," Oh well I just received my credit report, if I really owe this money how come this is not list on any three of my credit reports." I also said,"If I really owe this money than fax me over all the documents so I can see for myself." He stated,"We are not allowed to send documents with affidavits on them." I said, "Oh that is really odd." "If I really haved owed this money that long than why is someone now just contacting me and nothing has come in the mail or no phone calls until now." He said, " Well that is your responsiblity you should have taken care of your loan instead of dodging the debt." I got so loud with him that he finally hung up. It is such a scam. Also my mom was contacted as well because I had used her as a previous reference on my student loan and they even called her. This is ridiculous. I am going to file a report. These people have been harassing my mom and me for days. Something has to be done. These people can't get away with this. After reading everyone else comments. I feel much better for knowing that these people are scams and people have reported them. Thank you for all the information. Please pass it on.

Someone from this number with a thick accent maybe Indian called me and said there was a lawsuit against me. I thought it was a joke and they kept calling leaving voicemails threatening that I needed to call him back or only God could help me. So I called back and the guy said he was Officer Steven Smith and he was downloading my file to the sheriff but I could stop it if I gave him my credit card number and $400. I asked him what was I being sued for and he said a loan back in 2007 that I didn't repay. I said to him that I had no such loan. He hung up only to call back a few days later with the same old story but this time he became vulgar and scary when I refused to pay. He told me that he push the button and my file was being downloaded to the sheriff, I said what sheriff and he said "sheriff where you are" and I said I will not pay you anything because you have not told me whose suing me and he said, I would pay after I was raped and beaten by the sheriff. This was frightening and I hung up. He is still callling and harassing me about being jailed and raped.
I finally told a friend about his threats and he said it was taking an awfully long time for my file to be downloaded and my friend googled the guys number and came up with this site and many others noting that this is a scam.
I'm not scared anymore but this guy is very very vulgar and shook me up for weeks.

Someone called by the name of Michael Stevens from Affidavit Consolidation Services and said they are putting out 3 charges agaist my social security number and I'm being investigated.
I don't know who these people are or even what loan they are talking about.
I called back and asked for a Michael Stevens. Supposedly his "supervisor" picked up and started being extremely rude and hanging up on me when I tried asking for their company information and website. He didn't know what to say to me so he started yelling at me and hung up!
Don't believe anything they say, under FDCPA, they cannot threaten to sue you, or investigate you unless they provide information on who they are, who they are representing and what they want.
I asked them to mail me everything they are talking about so I can verify the debt and he started screaming at me.
That's when I realized that this is a scam and hung up.

This is most definitely a scam and not the only one running. Unfortunately, the other company got me and I am dealin with them calling me and being very harassing. The girl has also called me leaving her name as Jennifer and one time it was Jessica. If you talk to them, really rattle them by asking what company gave them the account. This goofs them and they named three for me, but none were the same one they originally told me in the first phone call. To really screw with you can do what I did. I typed up a letter (kind of a cease and desist) told them I had caught on to them and that I had filed with the FTC, Attorney General, local sheriffs department, and the local county attorney general and then I faxed it to them. This is not the only number that they use-there are hundreds. It is always the same people. Everyone beware. Just so you know, it is against the law for a collection agency to threaten, impersonate, or falsely represent a person in law whether attorney or law inforcement. You can also refuse to deal with a collection agency and only deal with the original creditor and set times and limits to when these can call you. I recommend that if you are receiving these calls file reports with the authorities. We have to fight back--they are taking advantage of the hardworking American. Also, know that even though it may appear to be an American phone number, many of these calls are routed to an office in India--trust once you have been scammed, you researche everything. These butt munchers wont get me again.

At what point does the government get involved, especially since these people have fraudulently obtained personal information and are attempting to use this against people by way of scamming.
They got me when they said something bad is going to happen to you and then have a blessed day. WHAT A JOKE, THEY SHOULD BE SHAMED.

This is hardly a company, this is a Scam. Every call is different but the same. The name of the company changes and the names of the employees change; but the same scare tactics remain. They state that there are companies that are going to sue you and put you in jail. Then they try and squeeze you for information and get your banking information and take your money. I have done a little research and it seems that the group was operating out of California, but now they are in Tampa, Florida area. They have several cell phones with all different area codes and numbers. Every time you call one of them it is the same guy it seems. If you catch them unaware them you will get a woman who's name also changes frequently. Here are a list of "employees" and phone numbers that these scamers are using:
Alex Barker
Sarah Jones
Nash Brown
Mike Wilson - "Attorney"
May Johnson
Miguel Zerra
John Johnson
Curtis Jackson
Arnold Watson- "Attorney"
John Smith
Frank Jackson
Joseph Williams
"Nancy"
Jonathan Smith
Michael Stevens
Of course these aren't the only names they are using, and they can make up new ones very easy. Here Are their Phone Numbers.
813-489-2927
813-283-0610
813-283-0611
315-770-0405
772-228-4008
813-388-4935
813-283-0641
954-639-9313
not working any more:
496-656-7520
916-233-0467
991-279-9100
These numbers can be searched throughout the internet and it's all bad news. whocallsme.com is a good one, but there is many. I have tried to obtain a mailing address and they will not give. They are violating many rights of many people: old and young, rich and poor; but mostly the poor. I have been calling these numbers using *67 to protect myself and I have found it very enjoyable! If these guys have harassed you then try calling them (protecting your number), and if it is a girl ask for a guy and if it is a guy then ask for a girl. Try and get a mailing address - that's the golden ticket. Never give your real name or information, these guys are somewhat serious. Please help stop these guys.

This is a scam!!! The "company" if that's what you call it seems to be a "ma & pa" business. One Woman and one man if that's what he is. they some how get information from online payday loans and create a story to try and get you to send money.
I just called this number and "rattled their cage". If you feel victimized and call the number and if a man answers then ask for a woman and if a woman answers, so on. When the person comes to the phone switch names of the person you were looking for like from Mike to Miguel or Sarah to May. Don't ever give your real information; tell them john smith or jane doe and that the person called and you have the money to send to them but you need to speak with just that person. LOL ! ! ! You might get a little kick out of it. And then those annoying calls????? Just ignore them they should be gone soon. LoL
Employees:
John Smith

Nash Brown
Mike Wilson - "Attorney"

Michael Stevens

Try calling *67-813-489-2927 and doing this. Let's get back at them!

A guy names John Smith with an Indian Accent contacted me saying that I was going to be sued. He was faxing me information and he gave me his information to contact him back. His number is 813.489.2927 fax# 646.786.4401.
I sounded a little fishy but it worries me because he has all my information.
How do I find out if this is true.

This guy Officer Victor Smith called me and said I would be arrested in 24 hours for check fraud, I asked what check and who did I write a check to, he told me nothing, all he kept saying was he could help me and to send him $1000 or face jail time. Keeps calling using different names, has an accent and uses different numbers. The last time he called he said I would be raped and shamed by my family in jail and only God could help me now.

Hello everyone. Here is a heads up and another way to report these scams and check specfic phones numbers for scammers. Go to www.numberinvestigaors.com. Once you put in the number it will show a map of where it is exactly located at and you can file complaints there. I think the more complaints we get out there about these the more people we can help avoid these scams. Good luck all.

Definitely a scam. They claim to be working on behalf of certain creditors, but if ou put them on the spot each time they call, they get angry and flustered and name other companies. A girl will generally call and leave a message, when you call back you get a man saying she is not available, but he can help you. In my case is was Mike Wilson and he claimed to be an attorney. Whatever you do do not fall for this. They are extorsionist. File claims with all the proper authorites, or if you want to get at them, start calling them back and probe for answers. I guarantee you they will get upset and mess up their scam. They did with me. Do not take this lying down--we have to fight back. Company names used
Hudson Law Firm, ACS, AFS, State investigating Agency, and 4th Deminsion Technology.
