They have called my cell 81 times in the last 30 days! They are looking for someone I don't even know.

Most days about the same time I get a call from above no. I would like to know who it is so I could put a stop to it one way or other.

It's a collection agency called DPS.

I got a message to my company beeper to call this number; is a spaming.  When you call them back, you hear a recorder about repair roof or something like that.

Thanks for calling and finding out what this is about.  Why do people have to resort to this crap?

Our company has looked into doing text blasts like this, against my advice might I add.  I am pretty sure this against the law & should get them fined...if somebody wants to check into it.  We could text our own customers (again against my advice) but I seem to remember it being against regulations to do this kind of thing.

I was glad to find this thread, when I googled the number.  FYI, the 386 number is over near Daytona Beach.

I just got the same text forwarded from 386-383-9418 saying Please call 813-498-2010 ASAP.  I'm working and definitely don't need to worry something's wrong with a message like that.  I texted back : why? who is this?  I got no response.

Received call from 386-383-9493 said to call 813-498-2010 immediately.... thanks for your posts

They have now changed the number they text from(or have added this number) to 386-383-9418 then you get the 813-498-2010 ASAP message

I was sent a forwarded text from 386-383-3904 to please contact 8136-498-2010 ASAP.

They have been sending me text for a week. The area code the text come from are 386 but it says to call this number.

These fokls texted me just now at 735 pm, same BS as you all got.  I'd do what OzSurf said and call the consumer lines.  They have played this scam in other cities, it appears they got to different area codes and work for a few days, then jump ship to another area code. Google it, they are all over using the 386-383-4168 to text you, making u panic like something's wrong, call this number asap at 813-498-2010.  They use the 386 number in Orlando too, playing the same scam in February with local Orlando 407 area code and phone numbers.

It takes two secs to report these unethical scam artists to the Fla Dept of Consumer Affairs and to the FCC.; I encourage you to do so.

oh and if you call the number and sit through the long winded advertisement, and then press 3 it removes you from the call list...hope that helps!

yeah what the hell...i'm not even a homeowner and i got this text.
i called to give this guy a piece of my mind and upon dialing the extension was connected to an automated teller who said "thank you for using the auto connection, goodbye" and disconnected?

Stephen Johnson is on that extension, sales rep.  It a roof replacement scam, trying to get you to have them come out and quote replacing your roof and turning it into insurance.
