I viewed my phone log this week and found that this company has found a way to use our phone number to call out to this company. I am calling Verizon to have them investigate what these people are doing to illegally use my phone number. Will update.

The caller who said his name is Scott called late last week.  He asked who is in charge of maintenance.  He mentioned something about light bulbs and I am well aware of the scam he is trying to pull.  I knew this caller was a telemarketer in a call center.  I could hear others in the background.  I never give anyone's first name when I get calls like this.  So when he called this morning and asked to speak to Mr. Soandso, I knew exactly who and why he was calling.  I put him on hold and planned to leave him there until he hung up.  He did hang up but he called right back.  He started yelling at me that I didn't ask him to hold but I know I did.  He ranted for about 30 seconds then asked to speak to the president of the company.  Of course I didn't put the call through.  I told the other people who cover the receptionist desk during my breaks/lunch, about this guy.  Maybe he thought that if he acted like he was going to complain about me to the president I would put the call through.  That will never happen!
I understand this guy is just doing his job but his job sucks.  Why anyone would want to do this for a living?  I'd rather stab myself in the eye than do that job!

Report such calls to the Federal DNC Registry and to the FCC.gov DNC complaint site.

Your best defense is your Caller ID. If you see a name and/or number you do not recognize, don't pick up the call. Don't press any buttons!

that's so funny I kinda do the same thing. if they try to sell me something, I tell them I am selling a car and precede to get them to buy it. I know a lot of them just need a job but others just get on my nerves!

These guys must think people are stupid! They call my company about twice a week trying to sell us light bulbs and when I told them we didnt need light bulbs they sent me an email which I later found out they called one of our other locations and got my email address from a secretary. BEWARE I'VE ALSO FOUND OUT THIS IS THE SAME SO CALLED COMPANY WITH "DELTA PRODUCTS'  and they try to send you enyme cleaner and drain opener cleaner. These people are terrible SOMEBODY NEEDS TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE PEOPLE!!!!! THIS SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW!!.. When you tell them to stop calling they continue and send emails and texts on your phone. Legal Action needs to be taken. I've had a guy named ED, Tony, Derek, and Joe all call, after about Five calls I realized it was the same person trying to mask his voice. I asked to talk to their supervisor and It was the same guy trying to sound like a different person and apologize and then try to send a cooler to my house. TO EVERYBODY YOU SHOULD KEEP A RECORD OF THESE CALLS THE NAMES THEY GIVE YOU AND THE DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBERS THEY USE. AND I HOPE THEIR LITTLE B.S. COMPANY SEES THIS CAUSE I WONT STOP UNTIL I FIND YOU GUYS AND GET THE POLICE TO LOCK YOU UP!! AND THATS A PROMISE IM X POLICE DETECTIVE I AM CURRENTLY TRACKING YOU DOWN AND I WANT YOU TO KNOW IT!

If you get a call from these people and decide to take them up on the offer of a free gift they want you to spell your name for the shipping department. DON'T DO IT! They are recording it and can use it as authorization to ship and invoice you for whatever they are selling.

Nice scam these guys pull! Keep getting a rude a**le named Duncan who claims he is a lawyer and that we owe these guys money... 2 messages a day now and when he does catch me on the phone I hang up.

I am the maint director for an assisted living center, and recived a boc of light bulbs from these scammers that were never ordered. I called them back to inform them that we did not place the order and they need to take them back, that was 6 month ago...They called today as stated they were going to take me to court if I did not pay them...i again told them we did not order the bulbd and that we still have them in the box unopened, and that they should come get them and also NEVER threaten to take me to court or call me at work...

Well a Mr. Charlie Murphey called me from Commercial Supply saying he had an approval from my boss to buy a box of f40t12 bulbs for $410!  He had my boss's name and had my address the only thing he didn't have was the right suite #.  Well I told him that I would have talk to my boss about this order first because I get the same bulbs for $118!!!  What a joke for those of you who want a real number to call these jerks back here it is 866-285-4448.  ext. 207 for Charlie Murphey if he is the one who tried to scam you.  This was a joke

This guy just called our business and ask who is that maintenance guy you have there I needed to talk to him.  Wanted to send me a 4 piece cooler set.  Then at the end of the call said he would put me down for the a case of lights.  When I told him I wasn't buying lights he said in a rude voice Why?  I told him I didn't need light and he said fine and hung up!!

What is wrong with these people?

We get these weekly, and these people are the rudest, we are no longer polite with them! They get told off and hung up on or we say "just a minute and we will get the person you need to speak to" and of course just them sit on hold!
Just plain dirbags like the copier supply calls, Wish they could be fined and locked up for such BS calls!  and the do not call list does no good!!!

3rd time we've received a call from this number. First caller was a lady who asked for the person who actually handles a different department. She was very rude and hung up when I said that person wasn't available. I recognized her voice the 2nd time she called and found out why she was calling - light bulbs - they have some promotion. I did give her my name but said we are a very small business and run out of a house and don't need any light bulbs. Just got a call from a guy asking for the same person as before. He said he'd call back but I insisted that he leave a message b/c that person isn't in the office much. Found out why he was calling and told him that I'm the one who handles the light bulbs, that I told the last person that we run out of a small house and don't need their services. He said he'd remove us from the list. Guess I'll wait and see. Keith Williams is the guy I spoke to, I think. I can't recall the lady's name. Definitely sad that people are working for a company like this.

Drew, Robert, and Gus have called from CLC.  They never tell me what they want, they ask only to speak with the maintenance director, and of course they hang up when I press for more information.  I've learned to simply say, "If you're selling, we're not interested, and take this number off your call list."  Quite understandably for a business of this nature, I have continued to get calls.  Several numbers come through on caller ID --all from Tampa area code (813) 935-4448, 435-8389, 514-1481, 514-1482.

Received this call from Mr. Kevin Thomas, HE was very rude and in fact after I told him to leave a voicemail and we would call him back if we were interested, he got very rude and called me a "dumb a$$ boy"  Last time he ever gets through to us!

a keving thomas asked for the name of person responsible for maintenenct, when i asked "why would i want to give you that information? - we lease the building" was very rude and hung up saying, that's all you had to tell me.

Like all the rest- cooler / home address / blah blah blah.
"Angel" called.  She claimed she was with "Commercial Lighting."

Also wanted to send me a case of 4' fluorescent lamps.  I claimed that I didn't know on-the-spot what I needed so don't send me anything.

I didn't give my home address either.  There's no way that anyone outside of these 4 walls needs that...!!

She had the work-addres... wonder if UPS will show up with a cooler & catalog that I can recycle...?  :)

Call came to our business' main number; had to be a cold call or telemarketer because our employees and business partners have our desk and mobile numbers. Caller ID showed "TAMPACEN, FL". Someone identified himself as "Kevin Thomas", and asked how I was doing. I said 'Hello, Mr Thomas. How can I help you?' He asked why I had to be so rude 'every time' he called (FIRST time this person has EVER called, FIRST call ever from this phone number; I checked our logs). Again I asked him the purpose for his call, and how I could help him. He said, "Ok, I'll tell you what. Here's how you can help', then hung up. Reverse look up showed "land line, Florida Digital Network, MPower Communications Corp."

I also got a call from this guy, he talked so fast I didn't catch his name or the name of the company.  He talked about the cooler he wanted to send me and wanted my home address.  I told him I have everything shipped to the business so someone can sign for it.  He wanted to send me a box of 60 4ft. light bulbs, when I said i didn't need them, he wanted to send me a box of 30, cost: $16.95 each with a five year warranty.  He then tried a box of 15 then 10.  After I stated no for all of the light bulbs, he asked if he could at least send me a box of standard light bulbs, when I said no, he just hung up on me.

daily calls, very vaege on who they want to speak w/ when you question reason for their call they hang up.

hint...what can you do to stop these stupid calls...

Our receptionist got a call from these clowns. This scam has been around for at least 20 years.  I am a telemarketer's worst nightmare. I can mix up a telemarketer so bad they won't know their mother's name. I am not going to call the number, but I can't wait until they call back.  Huyaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh!

I fell for this scam hook, line, and sinker. It did not dawn on me that it was a scam until I hung up. The woman was that damn convincing. I gave her my home address to send the cooler to and she already knew the company address to send the bulbs to. Now since there is not a lagit number to call back on, I don't know what to do.

A guy named Bryan called and said he was from commercial electric. And they were doing a promotion, he needed my home address to send me a cooler. Than he asked for a PO number for some lights he was going to send me. I told him that i dont give PO's out over the phone for something i hadnt even ordered. He just kept reducing the amount of lights, half a box, or just a few, trying to get a PO from me. I finally told him to cancel everything and i hung up.

keep receiving a call from this company.  When you press them for more information they always hang up.

 Some guy called,asked if I was still the buyer of light bulbs.told me he was sending a gift basket of summer sausages etc.Wanted to know my home address,where to ship the basket,I thought it was a legitimate firm.
 Then he hits me with this light bulb sales pitch,bulbs that are guaranteed for 6 years,to date them when we installed them,very convincing,he had me set up for over 400.00 worth of bulbs,I cut it in half.Just to try.Wanted to know where to send them and if they would be paid for upon delivery,I said of course,then he hung up...........As I thought about it more I decided I didn't want anything that I hadn't seen specs on,I tried to call the number back and alas, a recording saying the call could not be placed.Pissed me off,to say the least

813-514-4496 called in at 9am this morning asking for the person in charge of our maintenance, and I asked "maintenance for what?" and he said "building maintenance". I informed him we lease our suite and if he needed assistance with his own suite that he needed to call the building management. He said he didn't need assistance but he needed to talk to them and asked who it was. I told him the name and he asked for the number. I told him if he needed them he'd already have it, and to look it up himself, and hung up on him. Don't have patience for these idiots!!

Same. I got a woman calling me and no they don't just try to pull this scam on woman.  She wanted me to director to the person that purchases light bulb. AAhhhh the old light bulb scam.  You know, they ship you a box of junk that you don't want and the send you a bill for 100X the amount.  

Easyest way to shut these a***s up is tell them that the building owner takes care of it - the owners are in some other state - can't help you.  This also works great with the cleaning scam as well.  

She then said, O you just rent.  I hope the caller is reading this "NO WE OWN FIVE BUILDINGS" dumb scammers get a real job.

We have several lines at come into our office. It just so happens that 2 of them ring in my office. I answered the first line; a woman asked "what is that guy?s name that handles the maintenance?" I assumed that is was a sales call and we have a purchasing dept, I wanted to make sure that she really didn?t need to speak to our maintenance guy. I tried asking her a few questions, about the call and she hung up on me. Then within a few minutes she calls the second line, I answered. She said the exact same thing, and when I told her that she just hung up on me.... She hung up again.... I googled the phone number and found several other people complaining about this same thing from this business. I did call 1-866-285-4448 and spoke to Joe the sales mgr. of Commercial Lighting. I told him what had happen, he said he would find out who made the call and have them call me back an apology. Within 20 minutes the same girl... ?Kelly? called back and apologizes, and said she was in a hurry..Of course she still had an attitude. I told them to remove our name from their call list.

Our business received a call from this phone number. He asked to speak with "the person in charge of maintenence." I asked what the call was regarding and he said "lightbulbs." I asked if we had put in an order and he replied, "I don't know I am new." I then inquired whether or not we have worked with them in the past and he hung up on me.

Same as above with cooler and 4' bulbs.  Told him no.  He said you must not be the one in charge to make a purchase.  I said I was and he said you can't be and hung up.
