It's a collections firm in India. I've had them tell me they were calling from the "federal department of justice". I kept them on the phone a while to speak to a supervisor, and got an entertaining series of lewd suggestions when I kept asking for their official mailing address and their information for doing business in Pennsylvania.

Apparently, they were hired by a friend's on-line lender in conjunction with some sort of unsecured loan.

I've been getting these calls, too. Sounds like they're telling me I have legal action against me but the accent is so strong I can't understand most of what they say...really annoying!

I received this same phone call, little did they know I am soon to graduate from my college for my legal degree. What a surprise :P ! I hope all turns out for all of you involved.

This is the number that I was given from the individual calling me stating that he is the senior Atorney for Carson Lawfirm and that I owed money to a company called OCS that I do not know nor do I owe any money to. This person called himself Mr. Austin White and spoke with an Indian accent with broken English. He adviced me that the conversation would be recorded and that twelve other attorneys are listening in on the call, I asked to receive a copy of ther recording for my records and was told no they could not provide it to me. I told them that we could not continue to discuss any other issues unless they sent me something in writting.
