I received a call from this number (813) 663-6719. A woman with a southern drawl said she was calling about colleges because I'd expressed an interest in a college or job. I hadn't (WAAAY past the college age!) Plus, they called me at my work number, which I wouldn't give out if I were searching for a new job. The woman also kept talking and interrupting me and arguing with me. I hung up on her.

This is US News University Connection. If you listen to the message there is a number to call to be placed on their do not call list. 877-661-6128

This is the third unwanted number im getting calls from the same day I'm submitting online applications thru job.com type sites. Extremely sad that the sites seem to all route you thru a school sales service. Like many posts here, I almost answered it because Im expecting a callback for a phone interview this morning. Its a legal form of phishing.

They have called more than ten times representing something about going back to school. I have told them to stop calling they still do.

I filled out an online job application and have been receiving calls ever couple of days. The last time they called, I told them to take me off their list. They informed me I must call an 800 number which they gave to me. I called it and told them to take me off the list.
Now I have received a call from this number for the EXACT same solicitation for Higher Education. It is a Scam and a violation of the NO Call list I am on.

I have received numerous calls from this number. I have asked for my number to be removed from their calling tree atleast 4 times. They keep calling even though I have this on the Do Not Call Registry

These calls are frustrating. After looking over other complaints, it appears that they got my number from a website offering employment. When someone needs a job they don't want to be harassed by companies looking to put them further in debt. I'd like to see this kind of thing completely outlawed. It's bad enough going through tough times because you're unemployed, who wants to be put on some salesperson's potential victim list? These companies make it even harder to trust employers who post jobs online. My suggestion to anyone else who is dealing with this is to apply for employment online only at the company website. Do not follow the links or referrals from companies like Career Builder and the like. I always wondered why they go through so much trouble to "help" find jobs for people. It's just a way to get your info so they can sell it. Now I take the information and go directly to the company site they suggest for employment. If everyone started doing that it would take out "the middle man" and keep them from selling your info. It's such a pain!

Called me today and tried "to help" me to find my education online. I did not let her continue to speak, told I am NOT interested! and hung up. No more calls for now. Will see...

The caller ID said US News and they did leave a message with 2 phone numbers to call back. 877-661-6128 if you want to opt out and get no more calls. The number to talk to a rep to have more info is 866-932-6361. I called the 866 number because I wanted to speak to a person and find out how they got our number. He claims that my husband had completed a form on line requesting info for internet education opportunities. Have heard this before from other institutions which are constantly calling. First, we are both in our 70's and would not be interested in furthering education, grants, loans, etc. which they are all saying he requested. He did complete a form request which said it was for an investment firm and the funds they represented. I told them that I was filing complaints with the Do Not Call, Better Business Bureau, FCC and others every time we get one of these calls. We have calls coming from all parts of the country and all types of learning institutions. One college said they got by tracking cookie from a web site we had visited and they could then get the info needed to call (I certainly do not understand that but our SPAM box is full).

Yolanda from University Alliance left a message on my cell phone for someone named "Amanda" in reference to her request for info about a liberal arts degree from New England College. I don't know who Amanda is, but I have been getting calls from other similar companies asking for Amanda. I have not been on any job search websites nor have I requested any info regarding online education. I do not give out my cell phone number to anyone but family and friends.
