First,  I have recieved a call from them today. When I answered there was a computer generated message saying if I was myself to press 1. I just hung up.

Second: Federal law states that no one can call you and threaten to take your children away, to have you arressted or even that they are investigating you. It is also illegal to call themselves attorneys when they are not a legal practicing attorney.

Third; the reason they are not giving you the information is because they know they are doing things illegal. Please report the number to the federal government with a list of what they have said to you, dates, times, exact words, etc. Let them know that if possible to please tell you the information of the companty.

Why? becasue you will get money when you sue them for each cuse word, each threat, and every harrassing call they make after the first one. You can also take them to court if they call at 9:01 or before 8 am.

Makes notes, keep records because if you can get the information of the buisness that did this then you can make enough money to pay off that "debt".

Be aware I recieved a phone call from A hindu/pakistanie named Jack Austin also who identified himself as a Officer with the California Federal Crime Bureau stating he had 3 charges pending and that warrants were being issued to have me arrested between 6:30 pm and 10:30 this morning if I did not give him $796.00 to prevent them from arresting me for charges that he would not could not tell me about or where they stemmed from or what institute. Other than the accent/name , I would have been more upset. This is the deal he says he is calling from California, his number is a 305 area code(Florida) so apparently he stays on the move with this scam. What concerns me is he has a lot of my banking information, my social security # family freinds and members #'s and has contacted them also threatening to charge them! I want to know where and how this guy got my info and what can we do about someone who has been doing this for a long. I see this by the date of the others complaints and comments. PLEASE BE AWARE THEY ARE AT IT AGAIN  - MARCH 18,2010

I also received a call for Officer Patrick Wilson 305-515-8380 from the US Bureau Of Investigation Florida officer.  It was important that I call back or be contacted by an attorney.  I didnt fall for this one but I decided to play along. He asked for the spelling of my first name , I told him if he is from the FBI he should have my first name.  He then claimed he was on the other line with the attorney and to give him a phone number where he could call back, I gave him the phone number for the FBI office her in Chicago.  But before I hung up he told me to lose the attitude becasue this was a serious matter that needed to be taken care of, I told him to make sure he calls me back I would be waiting for his call

They tried to get me too. I have since decided to have some fun with this and prank them alot. I ahve kept him on the phone for over 13 minutes one time. I see this is as doing a civil service. He has said he is going to murder my enitre family. That is the g rated version of what he said. He is a worthless scammer. Another number they use is 813-579-2688

This man (said his name was Officer Frank Martin), who could barely speak English, called me and said that I owed $210 to SJM Marketing, LLC.  Well, I don't!  And I'm not even sure who the company is!  It was a disturbing phone call, he said that I would be thrown in jail and I would never see my kids again!  What a scam!  I don't think he realized how stupid he sounded on the phone!

NOW HE IS FRANK MARTIN WITH THE US GOVERNMENT! HE LEFT A MESSAGE AT MY WORK AND AT A FRIENDS HOUSE THAT HE WAS INVESTIGATING FRAUD THAT I HAD COMMITTED.
HE HAS ALOT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION THAT IS NOT GOOD, HOWEVER IT IS APPARENT
HE IS CALLING FROM A BILER ROOM BECAUSE OF ALL THE ACTIVITY IN THE BACKGROUND.
HE IS EITHER OF INDIA OR PAKISTAND DESCENT BECAUSE THE ACCENT IS SO PRONOUNCED SO IM WONDER IF THIS IS REALLY A CALL THAT IS ORIGINATING THERE INSTEAD OF FLORIDA BECAUSE SURELY AN AMERICAN WOULD BE AWARE THAT ALOT OF THESE TACTICS TO COLLECT ANY DEBT ARE PROSECUTEABLE UNDER THE DEBT COLLECTION GUIDELINES FOR CONSUMERS RIGHTS.  BUT IF HE IS FROM A FOREIGN COUNTRY, THEY WOULD NOT REALLY BE CONCERNED ABOUT OUR LAWS.

my wife and i were at a point of homelessness until i was told about this site by a law officer.everyone on here has described my phone call.

he clled me to and said i would be arrested on criminal charges but he could not tell me anything he called mr stupid and then hung up...i called him back and told him if he was eaping me like he said i hope he gor the stupid in there......

I just recieved a phone call (at my place of employment mind you) from an Officer Frank Martin.  He stated that I owed $635 and that if I didn't provide him with my credit card number to pay the debt; officers would come to my job to arrest me tomorrow.  I acted as if I would give him my credit card number, then told him the number was GO TO HELL; I'm notifying the authorities!  I hung up, but the jerk called me back stating they're coming for me tomorrow.  THIS IS A SCAM! I REPEAT; THIS IS A SCAM! PLEASE NOTIFY YOUR LOCAL AUTHORITIES SO THAT THESE JERKS CAN STOP HARASSING INNOCENT PEOPLE!!!

They somehow got my number and my 12 year old son's phone number, but the message they left on his phone said he was looking to speak with a Mary Clemons, who clearly isn't my child.  I called our cell phone company and had a block put on all of our phones for this number.  I never called him back, because I sensed it was a scam.  I called the local authorities also and they said for sure it was a scam and took a report.

I received the very same type of phone calls and harrassment at work. I called the attorney general's office in my state and they encouraged me to contact the attorney general in Florida. I did this. They informed me that if enough of us contact them they can proceed in nabbing these scammers. Please...it was simple...call and let's get these guys!!!

Same thing happen with me,this crazy indian sounding guy claims to be "Jack Austin" calls me up and said i owe a debt and if i dont pay i would be arrested.The crazy thing is he had all my info and called people i know looking for me.I called back and he couldnt give me any straight answers. Who the hell is this guy,he needs to be stopped,hes harrassing people at work and at home for no reason. This guy is a scam artist, hang up on him.

OMG this happened to me a few hours ago. A hindu Jack Austin??? called and said I owed over $600  or I cop would show up to arrest me either at work or home very soon if I didn't pay. I have had a payday loan in the past but paid it off. After he told me all these charges would be filed against me I freaked out but I had a feeling it was a scam. You can't get arrested for debt. NO WAY! I even went to my bank to make sure because he had my checking account number! This world has gone crazy. If you get a call from this person hang up it's a scam and if they keep calling then call the attorney general and tell them!

I received a Message at my job after searching online auto loans from Officer John Austin who spoke broken english. Telling me that I received money from a Payday loan company and that I could be procecuted for thieft by deception and other federal crimes. That i could be arrested at my place of employment and he only want to know if i planned on paying the debt right now. I questioned WHAT DEBT he could not tell me and amount  when I received the loan and i had not received any money. he said it was from Cash Advance and i replied I have never used Cashe Advance then he said well it must be another company. The killer is he knew my currrent bank information and my Social security number. I asked him to give me the name of his company he just kept daying he was from the legal department. I said well let me get my attorney on the line and maybe you can provide him with more information then you are telling me and that point he hung up. I tried to call the number back and Non-English speaking person answered and just saying Hello , i akse dwhat company this was and they hung up. I immediately reported this to my bank and he told me that he had several customers get this call.   but the number they called from was 305-964-8078

OMG ...... ijust recieved a phone call from an A**hole name Office Jack Austin , This man had me shocked i was so worried ... he then started to say i was gonna get arrested @ 2:30 today and will be locked up if i didnt send $720 in an hour after listening to him i called around then realized this aint true .This is DEFINATELY a scam .... Dont give out any info. Number they gave me to call back 408-786-9978 .

This morning 9:05am 5/15/09, I recieved a message on my cell phone stating his name was Officer Jack Austin with crime prevention calling to tell me he has an urgent matter he needs to dicuss with me or my attorney, if I do not call him back he said I will be arreseted and my kids will be taken away from me, I have recieved these calls in the past as well that I have refused to answer them or call them back.....this is rediculous and these people need to be stopped!!!!

This Jack person just called my job and said that he needed to talk to me and that he would be sending the police to arrest me if I refused his offer. I asked him to send me something in writing and he said that he could not do that until I had paid all of this loan. Why are these people harrasing me at work???????

I received a message from "Officer Jack Austin" today.  He could barely speak English and didn't any information on who or what I owe.  I believe it is a scam too.

Received a call from Jack Austin, who also called my job and informed them that I was being charged with fraud and trying to run away with a payday loan company's money. Told me the parent company of the loan company was SJM Marketing LC also known as Platinum B, phone # 866-722-2770. I called them and they hadn't heard of me. Jack Austin told me to call the company at 202-470-4848 because I refused to discuss this with him until I knew what I supposed owed. The number is to a Patrick Wilson who claims to be a crime investigator and couldn't give me anymore information than the first person. There have been no contact through mail or anything else.

I got a call at work from an Officer John Austin aka David Jackson. He said I had an outstanding 200 debt from some online payday loan. I have never used an online payday loan before. He told me that I had to pay 670 dollars because my debt was so late and that I could only use a credit card. He told me that I was going to be arrested for check fraud if I did not pay or I could pay 200 every 2 weeks until payed off. He would not tell me where he was from or what company I had the debt with. He got real rude with me when I questioned the debt. I think this is a serious scam. I also see other people have had the same thing happen to them.

I too received that same call today, stating he was officer jack austin and needed to speak with me about an urgent matter, that someone put me down as a reference? I didn't anwser he left a voicemail and was kinda hard to understand, I think he's a foreigner and that this is a scam.

This person (Jack) called me today.  He said he was with crime prevention.  He said I have a debt and with be arrested  tomorrow.  This is not the first time I've recieved a call like this.  I also have a friend that also recieved calls.  I do not have an outstanding debt that these people are calling me about.  They ALSO if I do not call back May God help me.

Received call from a "Frank Morton" (or "Morgan") or somebody. The man's Indian accent made me wonder if his name was an alias. He said he was from US Investigation Bureau and to return his urgent call regarding some case being considered that had used my phone number as a reference. I checked this number out and it is aland line from Naples, FL. I have not returned the call.
