Rebecca called me today.  Knew my name and sounded like she knew me.  But alas she did not it was a "new territory" for her when I told her I have never ordered bulbs from her company.  I told her I did not need a cooler, send me a catalog but I do not need fluorescent bulbs.  She wanted a purchase order I said we donot use purchase orders.  She said she would use my name.  I asked her why.  She asked if I could make the decisions...I said yes.  She said she would send the cooler and the bulbs at $15.87 each and hung up. Scammer.  I dont even have a fluorescent bulb fixture why would I order them????

Called asking to speak to our maintenance manager. Played dumb and acted like I didn't know what he was talking about and was able to finally get out of him that he was selling florescent light bulbs.

Just called my place of business.  Asked for the "guy in charge of maintenance"... (note: I am in charge and i'm not a guy...)  When screened for name and company by my support staff he replied, This is Mike...she said Mike who, he said Mike the light guy...I just need to talk to her, (with an attitude).  I let it go to my voicemail....no message left.

Guy by the name of Freddie, says he is the "lighting guy" would give me anymore info, when I asked for his name and company he started yelling. I hung up on him, he called me back yelling even louder questioning why I hung up on him. He called 3 more times! Very annoying and aggressive. Dont let him fool you or intimadate you.
Tell him he can go jump off a bridge and take his light bulds with him!

The company is called Commercial Lighting Tampa.  They call from 813-868-7509 to my business phone all day despite being told several times over the past month to remove the number from their call list.  They are trying to sell light bulbs.  I can't understand why anyone would entertain a conversation with these people much less place an order.

Jerry of Commercial Lighting of Tampa called and asked for the person in charge of maintenance.   He started off by trying to give me a free New England Patriot Football Helmet as a gift if we purchased 10 cases of light bulbs.  Since he actually called my house, he was surprised that we don't buy commercial light bulbs for my home.  what a loser.

A woman named Stephanie called from this number.  She said it was urgent and she was headed out to a job site and needed my coworker right away.  When I told her that the coworker she was calling for has absolutely NOTHING to do with job sites, etc., she said "Well, please give me his cellphone number."  When I told her that I don't give out cellphone numbers, she said "Well, page him and I'll hold."  I eventually had to hang up on her.  

These people have called a few times.  They are usually pretty convincing and sound very authoritative.

Some guy name Bob calls, says he's gonna "GIVE" me a free cooler w/ his catalog inside "FOR NO ODOGLATION" as a promotion, all he needs is my home address. I provide him our office address and he says he's sending the promotional cooler along w/ a box of 4' flourcent light bulbs. Which I told him I do not need,,, several times but Ole Bob is pretty insistint on sending the bulds at the cost of $15.27 each x 24 = $366.48
I'm thiniking to myself,,, we buy 4' flourcent bulbs at Lowes for around $2.00 (somethimes on sale $1.88) each x 24 = $48.00. I tell Bob that and he hung up on me...
Why in the world would I pay 86% more for the same bulb I can buy locally?
Ahh but they want to send you a free $35 cooler.
From the $366.48 I'd pay for their bulbs, subtract - $48.00 cost of bulbs at Lowes now subtract -$35.00 for the pronmtion cooler (I can also buy at Lowes) = $283.48 profit the telemarkering firm is making. Yep I can see why they keep calling...

started the call by saying "you're a hard person to get a hold of". "Are you still the one that buys light bulbs for your facility?" I have heard this line numerous times and replied No and Goodbye. This was the second time they called today and have called multiple times before.

It's related to HIS business not yours. Scam.

A gentleman called asking for mark said tell him its tom the lighting guy I asked if It was business related he said yes. he told me to page him  I said I could help him and he said he will call back later and hung up  call is coming from a florida Number

" Courtney from Commercial"  asked for our maintenance manager by first name and when I asked for a last name she butchered his last name.  I asked if it pertained to a part or if it was for an order.  she said "no, I just need to talk to him." after repeating my self and her repeating herself I transfered her to a deadline and upon the system sending it back, I picked up and hung up after she said "hello"

These people are rude and aggressive.  Calling asking for our maintenance person....acted like he knew him but couldn't remember his name.  When I told him he wasn't available and asked if it was a sales call he just kept saying 'huh??" Another time,  one actually called our office manager a C$%t.......these disgusting people need to find real jobs!

They called me twice in 6 months insinuating that they knew me and insisting that it was some kind of promo involving a cooler. But they called my personal phone, interrupted me when I asked anything, and couldn't even pronounce the name of a street that's not even the address of the office. And also wouldn't say what their company was.

As others have commented previously, this man called and asked for "the name of the building guy who does the maintenance."  He said he is the "lighting guy" and when I questioned him further, he said, "Who do you call when you have a maintenance issue?  I told him he would have to take that up with the management company. He hung up in a huff.

It is a telemarketer that is looking to get a name of someone in maintenence or facilities and once they do the ship that person a case of lightbulbs at 3x the market value with an invoice. Lightbulbs are light so cheap to ship and on average some places I guess keep them but most won't send back or pay the bill so it goes to collection and hounding calls.

This scam has been around for 20 years that i know of and also used by people who ask you for the model of your copier they too will send you crap you don't need and tie it to a real name of someone who works in your office.

Called and asked who the office manager was. I asked him what company he was with and all he would say is, "This is Henry." After multiple times of asking what company he was with and him replying, "I'm Henry," I asked what it was regarding and he hung up on me. Loser.

Requested to speak to Facility Director; told her he was not available.  She said she was at a job site and asked for his cell number so that she could reach him.  I declined, but offered to pass on a message; she quickly hung up.

Called asked for "the name of the building guy who does the maintenance."  I told her I did not have the information and she quickly hung up.

Asked for maintainence, wouldn't leave a message and wouldn't say what it was about but just that he wasn't selling anything.yeah right...he hung up.

Looking to find out the name of the person who does our facility maintenance. Sounded like a city girl teenager with her vocabulary usage. Asked her not to call us back again and hung up.
