Telemarketer - Commercial Lighting Tampa

Received call just now 10-21-2013 10:43 AM from 813-932-1547 --- The guy asked if I bought light bulbs for the building - also told me he was from Commercial Lighting -- I told him I could not speak to him and hung up --- this is a scam as I had the same company do this to me over a year ago.

Called the office, "Hello!"  I answered hello.  "I can't remember the name of the maintenance guy there, can you give me his name?  Me:  "NO" and hung up.  (I could hear that it was a call center in the background.)  Our building is managed by a property company and not us.  I knew it was going to be a scam call but I have to answer the phone; don't have to be polite to scammers!

Same as the rest. A salesperson who thought he was smarter than me. He won't be calling back.

Got a call from "Junior" @ Commercial Lighting asking to speak to our Manager of Maintenance. I told him he was out today and could leave him a message(meanwhile there was yelling and cheering going on in the back ground). He gave me his # 866-284-4448 and hung up.

They called today asking for our "maintenance person". Explained we didn't have one and they said "whomever orders light bulbs for the office". I explained that we have a long time client that handles all of our lighting for our company. I was then rudely interrupted and told "I'm not trying to replace your lighting guy - I just want to send you a light bulb catalog". I respectively declined the offer for the catalog as one isn't necessary and as I wished the guy a "good day" he was starting to yell obscentities at me. Nice way to do business and earn potential clients!  What a POS Company and the people they employ!

Lol, at least I got a very "nice" woman.  Called me hon more times in this phone call than my boyfriend does in a day. ;)  

She asked, "I need your director of maintenance, what was his name again?"  I asked what company she was calling from, she said "Commercial Lighting, we're trying to send out a catalog. Who should I address it to?"  Told her it was unnecessary, she thanked me and hung up.

Ditio to what everyone else has said.  Very rude woman who would not answer my questions, then yelled at me and hung up.  I am trying to contact the company and the Better Business in their state to report them.

I answered the phone as I normally do, name of our business and then my name. Telemarketer said, "I'm looking for your maintenance guy, what was his name?" I told her his name and she faked a lightbulb moment, "Oh, yes! Here it is! This is Stephanie from Commercial Lighting and I need to talk to him." I asked her what the call was regarding and she said they were doing jobsite visits today. I called BS right then and there and told her he was not on property. When she tried to ask for his cell phone number I told her he wouldn't answer. She said she would just leave a message so I told her to leave a message with me and I would make sure he got it. She stumbled over her words before mumbling "I'll just call back later."

I don't know what they're trying to pull but don't give them ANY information they ask for.

My answer was " Aurora Police Deparment " and they hang up... Called back but no answer!!  WTF !!!!

Rick from Commercial Lighting Company called over the weekend and left a message with our answering service. We're a HVAC company, so all urgent calls go to our technician on call. When the technician tried calling back the 866-285-4448 return phone number he left with the answering service, no one answered. After the office opened on Monday, Rick called back again for our technician by name, but as he is in the field he can't take calls. I asked who he was and what his call was regarding. Sarcastically and impatiently he said, "Just tell him it's Rick from the lighting company."
Me: "And what is your call regarding?"
Rick: "Just tell him it's Rick with Commercial Lighting Company. I need to speak with him."
Me: "Okay Rick, he's in the field right now, so I can try to get a hold of him. Hold on just one moment."
Rick: "Oh, you can just give me his mobile number, and I can give him a call."
Me: "I'm sorry, sir, we cannot give out our technicians mobile phone numbers. Hold for just a moment and I will call him for you." He held for about a minute and a half, as I tried to call the technician who had never heard of this man or company before (based out of Tampa and we're in St. Louis). I returned saying, "Sir, I apologize but our technician is busy on a call and is unable to be reached. I will transfer you to our Service Manager who will be able to help you." He hung up as she picked up the phone. I'm assuming he called for the tech because it was the only name he had.

Told him we couldn't help him & hung up. He called back & tried to get the number for our property manager. Lied and told him I didn't have it. He asked to talk to someone who could get him their number, when I told him no one here would give him that information he said F*ck you & hung up.

I'm glad that my i-phone shows where the calls are coming from. Unless I recognize the number, and or it's a local number, I don't answer my phone.
These morons have called me before. They come across like they are your light supplier but they don't know
anyone's name. Last year when they called I told them that I didn't order the lights but they wanted to talk to my boss, "What's his name again?" Yeah right. These jerks should be out of business.

(Shows up on Caller ID as "CMRCL LGHTG CO"). They called 9/16/13 - asking for our Director of Maintenance and she said it this way: "I need your director of maintenance, what was his name again?" I could tell it was a marketer and our DOM is greatly bothered by sales calls so I just went ahead and told this girl she had the wrong number. I have discovered that telling telemarketers they have the wrong number is the fastest way to get them to leave you alone. There is really nothing left for them to say if you're NOT the person they thought you were! Haha!

Received a call from a woman who told me to get (my boss) on the phone. I asked her name, she told me "Nicole".  When I asked who she was representing, she said "Commercial".  I asked "Commercial what?" but she only repeated "Commercial".  I simply hung up.  Reverse look-up shows the number 813-932-1547 to be that of Commercial Lighting Company.

A woman said she needed to speak with the manager, then asked who that might be. I didn't tell her. I asked who was calling and she said, "Savannah." I asked from what company, she said, "The Lighting Company." I placed her on hold and she hung up 45 seconds later.

We lease office space in a large building and certainly don't handle any of the lighting. That's the business of our property management company.

This "Lance" guy was a total jerk, telling me he spoke to someone here that there is no way he actually talked to.. I hung up on him and he immediately called back and got really rude with me...

So Lance calls  on 8/21/13 and addressed me by name since I answer the phone that way - and says Hey are you the guy who orders the lights?  I said no. "well i'm your lighting guy for the place out there"  I'm not the guy, but give me your name and number and I'll get it to him.  he gave me 1-866-285-4447.  I asked for a property address and he gave me 45563 Industrial place - which is nowhere I've ever heard of.
SCAMMER

Called on 8/20/13 asking for the "manager" as well. I asked what her name and company was, she said" Tell them it is Lisa Norman." I asked again what her company name was and she said, " The Lighting Company." I then asked what it was regarding and she sarcastically said," Uhh the lighting in your company." I then just put her on hold and she hung up.

Called on 8/16/13 asking for our manager by name. When I asked her to repeat her name and company name, she said, "Just tell him I'm on the phone and need to speak to him." I then told her that he was not in the office at the moment and she said, "Well, I'm actually heading to the jobsite right now, so go ahead and give me his mobile number." I then told her that he did not have a mobile number and she said, "Well, go ahead and page him then, because I need to speak to him right now."

I told the manager and he had never heard of this company or caller.

Caller's name was Stephanie Smith(?)
