Market research companies are not subject to the do not call list; only telemarketers are. If you want them to stop calling you, the best way is to call them back and ask to be removed from their contact list. I work for a market research firm and I know from firsthand experience that they do honor those requests! :)

It's market research. I took my truck in for a repair at a cummins dealer and intelliQ wanted to survey the service I received a week later. The last time cummins I'd this I received a number form another country so at least it's American now which doesn't jack my phone rate and keeps jobs here

This company is called Cooper research. I have gotten phone calls from them before from different numbers. Apparently they are not very good at removing numbers from their system.

"She said they were doing a phone survey in our area about our recent doctor visit."
Curious. My own wife cannot get info about my Dr. office visits without a signed release from me due to the HIPAA laws - how did a 'survey company' get this information? I'd be asking some very pointed questions at that Dr. office.

I was contacted by this company today. It is a research company. After calling the number back I pressed 0 and asked to be taken off their calling list. I also filed a complaint against them as I am on the "do not call list". I encourage others to do the same.

They called me to do a survey on my phone and internet - communications services. I asked who hired them because I work for a communications company - she said she could not tell me as that would hinder the results. I asked who was she calling from and she said a State College in PA. So I said I would take the survey. She asked who was my provider. I told her and she said she as maxed out the calls for that provider for the evening and did not need my information - thanks and hung up.....

Received a call. They left no message. Called back and pressed zero like a previous post said to do. Spoke to a live person. She said they were doing a phone survey in our area about our recent doctor visit. It wasn't that bad. I did recommend they leave a message for future calls to other people.

This is the second time I've received a hang-up call in as many days. I let the answering machine get it, but no message was left. So, I hit *69 to get the number then Googled it. According to this Website, it's a survey company. Being on the Do Not Call List, I should not be approached by the outfit. So, I filed a complaint on http://www.donotcall.gov

Caller ID has listed about a dozen calls from this number since June 11.

As I suspected a random call. No message left although caller ID # came up.

This is a telephone survey research company. Return the call and press 0 for an operator, then ask her/him to remove your number.
