They keep calling my work number.

They called my work and  cleary asked for my name. understood that I was the safety compliance officer for my area. Whick I am not. I asked what were they selling, they stated that the call was in reference to EPA compliance, ( which is a very broad spectrum dealing with many levels). They asked to speak to another person at my facility and they were not in at the time. So the representative left a callback #. 814-375-9897. I called it back they told me to call 1-800-220-5000 to have my name removed off of the call list. Will see if it works....

Dianna called and said she was with KAP and needed the Accounts Payable, and wanted to know who was in charge of that. I told her they weren't available and she would have to leave a message. She tried to just get a better time to call back. But our policy is that we have to get a name and number, and we will call them back, specifically for sales call reasons. We have too many solicitations calls. I called back, and was able to be transferred to 'Dianna' who proceeded to tell me all about how this is a publication regarding IRS and tax changes made, and how this will save us time and errors that may occur with the IRS. And she told me that they would send us the first few for free, and we could cancel at that time etc. etc. It is Progressive Business Publications, because that is what the other girl answered with. She gave me some BS Letters last time, hoping to get past me!

Called on business line, all answers were very vague and stated he was calling to talk about healthcare reform issues.  Sounded sales-ey.

Our secretary says "Crystal" asked for me by name; She started fast-talking; me & I had to interrupt to get name of company;   She became annoyed because I was trying to determine if this was a sales call. Her response was that it she wasn't selling anything, but needed to discuss 'an administrative issue.' I tried to get specifics so I would know if she needed to speak to my boss. She really got mad when I wouldn't give her my boss's name & when I said we receive a lot of solicitations & phone calls & we're trying to have the company name & number removed from so many call lists. When I tried (again )to get the name of the company, she went totally silent. After about 2 minutes, she hung up on me! I called back & spoke to a man who said the company is "Progressive Business Publications" blah, blah, blah. I complained about "Crystal" & told him to remove our name & number from their call list!
